Bill Adam teaches dB - Schlossberg #6
William Alexander "Bill" Adam (October 21, 1917 - November 25, 2013) was an American trumpeter, respected pedagogue, and Professor Emeritus at Indiana University. He was highly analytical as a teacher, but always avoided discussing the mechanical aspects of trumpet playing with a student. Instead he "taught" by demonstration and by explanation in terms of sound. In his own words, "If your mind leaves the sound of the horn, obstacles will appear.

Schlossberg 6 was taught to me many years ago (1970) by trumpet college prof Dominic Spera, who I think was eventually a colleague of Bill Adams. Mr. Spera did not teach adding that long rest, however. This is awesome. Is there more video of your session with Mr. Adams?
Glad you like the video Captain. I have around 20 hours of lessons with Mr. Adams. It was a blessing to study with him.
Good to see he is still with us and teaching.
