Youre going to make the best mom and dad. I always thought you guys should be parents because you're both caring and playful and attentive to each other. Throw a kid in the mix and wow. What a combination!
One of the most rewarding things is harvesting your own food. It connects us to the earth and the land around us and puts perspective on the energy it takes to feed ourselves. I am really excited for you two to enjoy the beauty of that process, the one you have already began. Love.
Thanks so much, Brittany!! We are so excited and grateful to be working on this. Thank you so much for hanging out with us via our videos and for this motivation :) Sending big big hugs!!! xx
One of the most valuable things I have learned farming here in the desert of Arizona is patience. I am so very excited for you! There's nothing quite like your own harvest.
How beautiful for you guys to have met Alohi and Daniel. What a wonderful experience for you. Being brought into the fold in Hawaii. Looks like you are meant to be there.:-)
Donated! It looks like they are still SHORT of their goal. I hope they succeed...saving their community farm and education center would have such a huge impact for many Hawaiian generations. Wishing them many blessings.🙏
While many Thai and Malay curries use coconut milk, in India a LOT of curries are cooked with tinned (or fresh) tomatoes instead. Different flavour but absolutely delicious. Thanks for sharing with us. :)
There’s another side of India called South India where you can find lots of coconut trees and use coconut on a daily basis and on almost all the dishes.
When planting bushy or big leafed vegetation it works better to plant in a zig zag pattern and not a straight line where plants are side by side, obstructing growth and sunlight. Just a thought...
hola y saludos desde Spain :) I love looking your videos. There excite no "Zufall"....finding creativ people to inspire me is worthy - all around the word and in different cultures & langueage. Lovely greetings from a German Lady living on the Canarian Islands :)
Great video as always, guys! I find it easier to root plants in a jar of water first. That way you can see the growth happening, if any. Then I transfer them to the ground once there are sufficient roots. Good luck to your taro!
Thanks so much, Lillian, that is a great call (particularly the "if any" part, clever to be able to see that!). Thank you so much for sharing the tip and the well wishes! Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday xx
This is a first video of yours that I've watched and you have such a natural, sweet and warm disposition that my heart is instantly full of light. I don't know anything about you but I hope to find out more and hopefully it just gets sweeter!
Your videos are always so soothing and inspiring. (I never comment on YT, but having had a stressful & frustrating day made a little bit better by this, I just had to!) Thank you for sharing your creative path in such a beautiful way.
It was an amazing story you did such a great job of capturing their life and story. It saddens to me to think of what might of been if develpers got hold of this precious piece of land. They have done an amazing job, I have now followed them and will be with such interest., Such a lovely family.
Tomorrow will be November 1/2021. I started watching Wild We Roam on May 1/2021 because of a comment they left on Isabel Paige's video. Just six months ago they were doing a boat series as well. Amazing how time flies.
So true! And aw, thank you so much for spending time with us and watching along these past 6 months, we are super happy to have you here 😄 Hope you are having a lovely Sunday! Sending our love xx
What an amazing adventure. I've been to Hawaii (oahu) once nearly 15 years ago. And dream of going back and seeing the other islands. Followed you guys a couple years ago, then came back just when you sold your boat. Love love love your Hawaiian vlogs.
What does Huli taste like? When you do your next cookbook please give us some curry recipes! Loved this video -something soothing to watch DIY, gardening videos as they are always so satisfying. Your videos are always a great way to start the week... sending you guys lots of love
That is such a great idea about the cookbook! And aw thanks so much for the super kind words about the video, always warms my heart to read ❤😄 Sending all our love xx
If its similar to malanga then it tastes similar (but not quite) to potatoes. I love making malanga soup and malanga mash. Its really yummy and more flavorful than potato. I think Taro/Huli are other names for Malanga (grew up in a cuban household) or they are a cousin of malanga.
I do not like Taro at all and that is the consensus with others I know. I can’t imagine planting that much for consumption. I haven’t eaten the leaves though.
With the dried coconuts outside, you can scrape the flesh and squeeze the milk ... to get your own Coconut milk. Suggest to look up the process ... that how many of the island folk get there milk from. Thanks.
So lovely, your videos from Hawaii, thank you!! too bad no coconuts accessible in your backyard... someday😘🤙 really appreciate the connections you're making, the work that you're doing and the life that you're making there. It seems like you found the right place for you guys now. And, it's good to see snippets of all the work and love that's going into training Freya and growing some food, so cool that you plsnted yhe huli🤙😊p.s. it'll be fun to see if you guys getting into eating the ULU someday-when the fruit is softer ripe, it's really good psn fried up with coconut oil and some sea salt and spices... also, the purple sweet potatoe, yum 😁
Thank you so much for your interest! Indeed, last week's video telling more of the story is here: ua-cam.com/video/bmQxvqtt5qo/v-deo.html and here is their GoFundMe www.gofundme.com/f/save-our-farm-from-developers :) And Riley, thanks for sharing the info too!! Hope you are both having a lovely weekend :) sending our love xx
I enjoy your videos, you guys are always in a good mood and smiling. About dog training - I think you speak to your puppy too fast. You give a command, he does it, then you say good xxx command. He took the tape measure in his mouth, you said no, out...he dropped it, and you stated "good out". All together in 5 seconds you said no, out, good. If you catch your dog being bad and you tell him to stop, when he stops, you don't tell him good. This is confusing for a dog... But your training is going well.
I think it’s probably partly so that the dog gets used to being in crate. It becomes a normal/rewarded place to be in instead of being associated with punishment, separation, or stressful times. Kind of like teaching kids how to sit down for some quiet time/take a nap is not unloving or restricting, but rather gives some structure to life and equips them for situations they’ll inevitably be in later.
It's good for a dog to have it's own space where they feel safe. It's also great for training against separation anxiety. I imagine Freya is in there while they film and then they do lots of training and fun stuff with her otherwise
It's something Americans do I'm afraid. They "crate" their dogs. Not something most of the rest of the world would ever do. I've had dogs for over 50 years and would never, ever, use a crate and have never known anyone in the UK who used one. Sorry Dana and Lou, I know it's accepted in the US, but people elsewhere are shocked by crating a dog and consider it to be cruel and abusive, and totally unnecessary.

Hey, fellow Indian here
North part of India uses tomatoes whereas the South uses coconut milk extensively 👍

Denise, that is so cool! Sending our love to you and your baby sugarcane!! ❤
Freya is getting big already! Shes so cute! 🥰😍
Awww, I really missed watch you drawing Dana, and your sketchbook
Had anybody out there seen Maid on Netflix? Tell me Dana doesn’t remind you of the main character!!
I thought the same thing! Both beautiful 😊
Me too. I was sitting watching Maid, thinking, who does she remind me of? Then it came to me….both gorgeous ladies! :)
Yess those were my exact thoughts
Yes! Just saw this and was thinking the same thing!!
OH YES
Her crate looks small already 🥺🥺😭
Hi guys! Great job with this video! Come say hey next time you're on O'ahu!! Cheers!
I remember when you started doing watercolors. Wow, you got really good at it!
The day you plant the seed is not the day you eat the fruit!
Happy halloween you three :)
Thank you, Julia!! Very true words :) sending our love xx

@@deartori To each their own. I am curious though how you have tried it and where you are from? I am also wondering is Taro is different from Malanga
Could you list the names of the vegies on the screen while you're cooking please? I'm not familiar with all of them.
Freya has gotten so big 😍
Love what you do keep the good work up
Thanks so much, Eli!! Sending our love xx

@@WildWeRoam thanks for playing the game of youtube.
Taro is addictive yummmmmmmmmmmm
Lou, how’s your back doing? 🙂
Cool vid thanks
What is that pot you use around 12:15 in the video? That seems like some hardy cookware!
It's a pressure cooker, not quite sure what the brand is though, will have to check it later :) hope you are having a nice Sunday, fuzzykuma!! xx

I'd seal the plywood. Or else it rots. I know because ours did over the course of ten years
Why is Freya in her crate so much and not playing outside doing 'puppy stuff '? Just asking, is that part of her training?
They don't film everything lol
