Sick build, i got a great deal on a low mile crown vic almost 3 years ago, i was actually looking for a 70s model short bed to do the swap with... clean trucks don't exist in Michigan. So a 62 unibody long bed form Montana popped up 25 miles from home for $1500. So that's what I'm going to be building.
Thank you for putting the cost in perspective. I am about to start a similar project next month on my Grandfather’s F-1 and wondered what I’m getting myself into.
What wheels are those? I am intrigued, as I want to do a Crown Vic frame under my 64 Mercury and they would look perfect. I know with backspacing and all it can be a challenge to get vintage styled wheels for the 03+ chassis.
Did you remove any of the torque box using the CV frame? Very nice build! I have a 63 uni long bed myself. (mine has the Dakota front crossmember, z'ed 2 inches) hehe. Slick 60's! Subscribed!
they are tough engines and make reliable power for cheap. 2v get a bad name cause the 4v and coyote exist. i have owned every variation ford offers. 2v always out lived them.
My GF gets mad when i tell her that once my Grand Marquis is paid off, and i find something else to daily, that i will be cutting it up to do this with.

Best example of a Crown Vic/ Unibody build I have seen.
Oh shit, I forgot that some of the off 60s trucks were unibody.
Very nice! Dig the tan color and killer patina. Nice ride!
Awesomely done what a head turner hey. Thanks for sharing.
Very good video, I have over 50,000 miles on my swap since I finished it. I agree with everything you said in the video.
Nice ride man!
Thanks!
How did you get around the security? And are you using your f100 key ignition?
excelente trabajo de te felicito hermosa camioneta.

I had a guy out of Austin, TX do it for me.

I don't remember tires size. But the rims are 17x7 all the way around
@SimonsPowerhouse thks for your reply love the ride credit to you
Who makes the rims please
Wow... could have bought one for that.
i totally dig the frame swap, but who wants 4.6 2v power?

Just imagine if someone else did all the work on it, then it would be extremely expensive build
Absolutely, be alot more for sure.
Thats plum wild ain't it
How much was the labor bill? 😆
alot.....
My truck an the crown Vic where gave to me
Sweeet!!
$15,000 (plus $60,000 in labor is $75,000)
not even close
You ever think you would upgrade to a Coyote
if the time comes and this engine does fail. es the plan will be a coyote.
By the way you don’t own that truck a little girl does. Lol.
What kinda time do you have into build this truck? From old frame to new frame.
I am like a silent partner...... the truck took me 73 days start to finish

Why are you paying on a grand marquis
@channelofchannels7845 because it was a clean example in NY with 86k that I bought in 2021. Worst timing, and wanted a really nice one, I guess.
