S B you’re right, education system is not improved in my country especially for learning english, we just have been learning grammar for years instead of speaking, but some of us try to learn the language on their own by watching youtube videos or making some foreign friends and it’s understandable you haven’t met a person who can speak english in my country, they are not a lot:)

(for example; öğrenci, yağmur, ağır). it kinda gives the "öörenci, yaamur, aaır" effect if that makes sense

As a Native English speaker. Our language is crazy. Almost every letter has more than one sound. Probably why we have English classes all through our academic career. Turkish is such a beautiful language!

Kütüphane is easy to guess as a compound word if you know a bit of Arabic and Persian Kütüp-->Kutub-->كتب = Books Hane-->Khâne-->خانه = Home Home of the Books So the final in kütüp and the initial in hane can not be part of the same sound
