The answer starts at 4:50 of this video. I fast forwarded. Saved you all a few minutes.
1:22 and thanks for being a stand up type of dude

Thank you. Should've known there wasn't an answer to that question.
I submitted a supplemental on 11 July 2024 for one condition denied back in 2021 and it came back approved on 04 September 2024. Submission to completion just 55 days.
Since the app doesn’t update supplemental claims, how did you initially find out that it was approved? I had an ACE exam record review for a supplemental on 8/29/2024 for an appeal we submitted on 6/7/2024
@@300ss5 … gonna go ahead and confess I logged on to the VA site and checked every single day after my C & P exam on August 01, 2024. Part of the reason I did that was because I wanted to know exactly how many days it took. Especially since it was a glaringly obvious error on the part of the initial C & P examiner.
What's a ace exam
I got called yesterday from ves about one by September 9
You should feel lucky!! I'm waiting on a decision for a supplemental claim I filed back in April! I had to file the supplemental only because the VA failed to review the evidence I provided, Private DBQ and IMO, initially provided with the claim in May 2023!!!
Wow.. I’ve had appeals going since January 2024 and still waiting.. if it goes through the way it should, I should get to the hundo club with a decent back pay🤞🏼
More great Info! Thanks Clay! This is ESPECIALLY relevant at this time for me…since I’m currently in the process of developing CLAIMS for both me and my Husband.
Thank you again for all you do
Yeah there really is no answer for a timeline and that sucks
- Clay
I’ve only been on step 5 (rating) for 3.5 months now. The VA sure is efficient lol
Same stuck at step 5 for over 4 months
Step 5 for 5 months just moved to Step 6 and Step 7 yesterday
@@real-h1739 some progress. Slow as F but it’s still moving at least
@@paulbadenhop7272 hey made a decision on one yesterday gave me another 30% for IBS from gulf war, went from 40% to 60%, still awaiting like 8 more
Great video like always, no click bait... to the point, not a long intro!!! I tell people to check out your channel all the time.
I love you

I like the new format. It gives you the ability to follow your case much closer. I got to look at my decision letter before I got it in the mail
Currently stuck at step 5. Steps 3 and 4 for me only took 10 days.
I have used this tool on the app and found it to be more beneficial than it's previous version.
How long can a claim take? It is a flipping mystery. Thank you Clay, all true information.
You would think that they’d want to process them faster so they don’t have to give out huge lump sums..
Thanks Clay. Very helpful video. Go Blue!
Really enjoy watching your videos, I'm Army 95B10 Jan 1973 to Jan 1976, (non-combat) and I have 10% rating for in-service Tinnitus and hearing loss at 0% which I appealed (with Doctors Nexus Letter) and their comment "not enough hearing loss". I also have applied for PTSD, COPD (w/years on CPAP machine that was issued by VA) also Sleep Apnea claim. The results keep circling the center roundabout scale. I have Two other private doctors Nexus letters attach to these claims.
Thanks for all you do for us who are somewhat blind this process. Norm
Clay, the “Files” tab has a Checkbox that allows you to tell the VA that you have no other files to submit. If your working with a law firm, like I am, it’s interesting to note that if, your lawyer submits an appeal for you, the lawyer can NOT see that checkbox and your appeal could hang here long after you have your C&P exam and submit all your stuff. Only on the recommendation of my attorney, I checked the box, which will now hopefully move my claim along to be reviewed. Something for everyone to watch out for. You’re doing a great job for us! Keep it going!
I am at evidence review phase.Very good video. Thanks again.
This hasn’t accomplished anything in my opinion. I think the 8 steps are probably identical to the process they were using in 5. It just gives them an excuse to take longer showing more steps.
Been waiting since Vietnam
I just got my letter this week that they apologize for the delay. Maybe I should call tell them I forgive them but I will never forget.
Its crazy how long these claims take they really ought to be ashamed.
Learning from Info Tap.....keep doing what you do, Great work!
Supplementals do not give you any updates.
HLR also don't give any info. Sitting at just about a year now in HLR.
Yeah, wish they'd get on that too
Just the information I need thanks.Great video keep up the good work.

I don’t think Step 3 the longest, everyone seems to be stuck at step 5 & 6 for months … it’s taking them a month just to review your priority application to have your claim expedited.
The answer is it will be done in when it’s done lol 😂
You still cannot view any documents posted in your claim.
It’s been 120 days since I filed my supplemental claim for a small musculoskeletal issue. I’ve learned to just sit back and not check VA.Gov 10 times a day but you’d think the VA would be a little faster with claims with one issue and enough sufficient evidence provided. 🤷♂️
After sitting on step 3 for 2 months ive finally made it to step 5. A friend of mine put in his claim and it was completed in 4 months.
Step 3 is brutal…
Hit my first claims 90 day today! So far not a peep, no C&P’s scheduled yet.
I have a simple dependent claim open. Been 2 months and haven’t moved. Seems everything is taking longer than usual.
Wow, i submitted a secondary claim to ptsd in July 2024 and have been waiting for 78 days. Still in limbo
Where is the “Claim is floating around in the National Cue awaiting action” step? Usually happens between Step 2 and 3. This has been told to me NUMEROUS times by people at the call centers. THAT process takes just as long as Step 3.
Sound effect: Rubber glove snap on wrist.
Doc: Bend over and cough.
Me: But I'm here for an audio check?
lol the only real information on this video that’s useful is the statement nobody knows how long lol using myself as an example trying to add a dependent has been sitting on step one for 3 months. We should be able to go in to the id card facility like the deers office in the military and just add dependents then they do the monetary behind the scenes. It shouldn’t have to sit in the same Que as all the claims for medical decisions.
Started my MH claim on August 19 and on sept 5 I had my C&P. Checked today during the evening and im on step 5 Rating. Ive been told that this step is the longest step. What do you think?
My mental health hearing started in 2018, and I still haven't seen a judge.
Went from step 5 Rating right back to step 3. Can be annoying sometimes. 😒
Yeah tbh it’s best to not check 😂

Initial TDIU claim 5 months to denial. HLR 3 months to approval.
Since June my claim has been just sitting. Nothing updated in the “enhanced” process. However via the C&P contractor they completed an ACE exam in June. WTH?!?!
Now if I can just get them to let me see my own fing records I'll be in business.
Thanks Clay. Im currently in Step 5 of my latest claim. Can you tell us WHY when we look at it thru the desktop login it's a 8 step process, verses 5 on the VA Phone APP. Personally prefer the desktop version however this maybe confusing to some such as myself. Thanks for all you and Jason do. I appreciate you guys.
I’ve been stuck in step 5 for over a month now…. Would be nice to know my position in the queue…. Such as how many claims are ahead of me. This assumes first in, first out, too.
I filed a claim on May 12th 2024, and it was closed on Sept 3rd. Went from 40% to 80%. Can’t complain there…..
I had something strange happen to me. I submitted a Tinnitus claim about two weeks ago and I was prepared for a wait of months. To my surprise, I received a notice from VES for a C&P exam... Awesome (not sure) ... When I went to my appointment the examiner informed me this was for a Traumatic Brain Injury... I did suffer a TBI during service, I didn't know it was even ratable. The problem is I did not submit a claim for TBI and never have. Does the VA just proactively go through our medical history for claims? In my experience, this never happens and I don't know what may have triggered the C&P... Is this a proactive claim? If someone has had this experience I would appreciate any comments. I'm really confused?
This process is not consistent; that is by design. I've learned to trust God to take care of my needs. God knows what I deserve and not to waste brain cells on Government employees... that will drive you nuts.
Been stuck at step 5 for over 5 months
If all our medical evidence is contained in VA treatment records, do you recommend submitting documents from records (medication lists, lab results etc) with the claim or they will pull those themselves?
I'm at 91 days and I have a hardship flag...still at step 3. I've never seen wait times this long for claims.
Right there with ya brother. Submitted in June 6th… havent heard a thing yet
@@inked_icons That was the exact same day I submitted mine ha
I had a FDC reach step 7 final review 2 days later back to step 5? Am I correct in assuming someone missed something?
Typical government BS! More steps will make this process better! 😉😉😉😉🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Hey Clay, do you have anything on ACE exams?
QA/QC within VBA is a total joke.
The government is a meat grinder we a re the dead meat
Woot! Like #313
