I don’t know why this came up on my recommendations, but I can’t help but smile at such a well made and a wholesome summation of all the amazing talents and accomplishments of this girl. Good luck to you Anika
honestly this is really amazing, but i cant help but feel somewhat mad at colleges to pressure students to take on so many activities, cirriculars, charities, researches and mantain their superb grades all this while, Of course some students can choose not to, but they will never get into a good untiversity that way. Honestly teenage years shouldnt be wasted away preparing for our 20's where you simply prepare for jobs and such
tbh a lot of students enjoy taking up those extra-curriculars. yes there are many who do it just for getting into a good college, but as someone who's genuinely enthusiastic about everything i do, extra-curriculars, charities, researches + academics is such a fun way to occupy yourself in your teenage years. my extra-curriculars are a way for me to cultivate my hobbies too. if i wasn't such an active student, i wouldn't be meeting and connecting w many skilled people from various fields nor would i have the confidence to express myself as adulthood dawns on me. the requirement from these colleges is v stringent and the system does need improvement, i agree, but i think it's good to take it as a learning experience.
Some fields of expertise requires highly intelligent people, for example, you want your doctor to be an expert and know how to treat your condition. Therefore, it is not surprising that high-calibre students can get into schools and careers that denote prestige and high-paying jobs. On the other hand, there is nothing wrong if you are not one of those students, as each of us have different priorities in life. What is important is to have a society where our livelihood is not shun down because we are not academically outstanding. Jobs that requires other forms of intelligence other than cognitive intelligence are also necessary to maintain societal functions and should have decent wage as well.
@@DungLe-zo8rf yes i totally agree with you, but the problem im pointing out is that this is required for every good college no matter what field you are in
@@makhfi9578 i also agree with you, but the problem is, the colleges dont give us any choice, so for the overwhelming majority of people this is a do or die situtation becuase theres no way theyre getting in without doing the extra activitites, so the colleges dont give you any other route, becuase not doing all these things is almost a definite path to rejection.
