Perfect timing. I just had my quarterly CIT class. They did this scenario. I have been listening to this channel and on my second listen to Chris's book. I was the fifth student to go. I got my instructor to actually toss me his car key. The class was shocked, as was I. Thanks, Blackwater.

I tried to be a co-negotiator with all three of them, but the tonality really affects your state of mind. It did however help, in retrospect, to see what I missed and could've added. Also it added more questions on the use of the techniques and I'm definitely rewatching the videos and rereading the book a couple of times. Really just great stuff

I've watch this a couple times & I finally have a major insight but I can use for my own business. Stop asking irrelevant or out of context questions just to try and build rapport. It seems to actually have the opposite effect.
I'm not saying I could do any better. However when the guy said where are you going to go I almost fell off my chair.
My sarcastic answer is.... I'm going to go to Disneyland. LOL

I noticed that and was like yay!
That's why we shouldn't yell at kids, specially kids, as their psyche is fragile and yelling will either freeze them or just provoke a fight or flight response. I also had a thought saying I understand you're upset, but if it doesn't matter what kind I can get you a Smart that is park right out there, from one of my colleagues, but if you need a bigger car it wouldn't help either of us if you shot that hostage. Would you agree? - wonder if that would help

if you rob a bank and get caught, you're not getting out of it, its your choice whether you want to do 5 years in prison or spend the rest of your life. You pick, make it easier for me so I make it easier for you.
I can go live on UA-cam and kill one hostage every 10 minutes because the SWAT don't wanna help me getting out of the bank peacefully.

@@pastorraul9034 I would answer: Me: You have 60 seconds to rethink your decision. Killing her will not solve anything, and it will only make the situation worse for both of us. Think about the consequences of your actions. You can still make the right choice and turn yourself in. I'm willing to help you, but you need to make the first step.
Kidnapper: Are you kidding me? You think I'm joking?
Me: I'm not taking this lightly, and neither should you. What do you think will happen if you kill her? You will be caught, and you will face severe consequences. But if you surrender now, you may have a chance for a better outcome.
Kidnapper: Yes, I'm going to kill her! What are you going to do now?
Me: Before you do anything, let's talk. Why did you rob the bank? Is there something else going on in your life that led you to this situation? I want to understand and help you, but I need you to cooperate.
