As a black solo traver, I know first hand how difficult it can be to navigate some cities so it`s importnat to always try to visit confirmed places that are black travelers friendly I have really enjoyed your video, thanks so much for sharing, I have subscribed to follow your journey
New York City definitely should be on the list. There are so many things to do and see. As a native New Yorker, I will say that you will have to know a native New Yorker or someone who knows NY really well to show you where the hidden gems are. There are historical black places in Harlem, Bronx, and Brooklyn to see. NYC has many monuments, shopping, parks, subway trains, beaches, restaurants, sports stadiums, broadway shows, museums, historical churches, famous land marks, and colleges and more all within 24 plus miles.
Im from Va/DC, My first time in NYC i was called a bamma and some dude was about to go to his apt building and get his folks on me... Over bball.. last place black ppl need to be is in the inmer city i say.
When I went to Vegas, I took a van tour to the Grand Canyon. We stopped at Hoover Dam and drove a little on what is left of Route 66. It was a long tour, 6 am - 2am but well worth it.
It is better to stay at Oakland airport hotels and then go across to San Francisco. I have a time share in San Francisco and I would never stay there because it is over priced in my opinion but I am a Californian. The history in Oakland is significant to Black people because this is where Black Panther Party leaders lived, attended college and served the community. Founders by college students Bobby Seale and Huey P Newton and they met at Merritt College.
I'm a solo traveler and went to Phoenix july 1-5 of this year but ...i didn't see grand canyon but i did drive to sedona and the red rocks are beautiful, i also visited tempe- scottsdale
Kayaking, hiking, jet skiing on the lake, ice skating, horseback riding. Plenty of good food spots and nice outdoor bars and beer gardens. Oh and the butterfly garden 🥰
When I visited Atlanta twice, my most enjoyable time was at the Martin Luther King center, the church, the 3 story building that has exhibits about Coretta, Martin and there family the memorial, down the street the fire house has all kinds of books and things for sale and down the street further was the family home. I also did the CNN center, the World of Coca Cola, Piedmont Park and we drove two hours either way on the freeway. The only draw for California is that it has small version of what you can get here and the prices of houses are half the price or more of houses here in California. For me it is too slow a pace for me; I know many people that have moved to retire there because the red states are less expensive to live in when you retire as long as that does not change more people will take a chance and move.
might have to do a part 2, but I'm not sure I saw it's full potential. Went to the Museum, and the market, harley and some escape room (they have the same one in CHI) but was there on business so didn't have much time.
The only thing that's good about Detroit is Colman young because black afrracan people own a lot of business at that time right now Detroit has a white mayor's black afrracan people own nothing very SAD nothing in Detroit but trouble very SAD

I love NY but you and I know they’re forcing the jab on people. For many NY won’t be an option.

I would be interested to see a list of mid size cities to small cities that are great places to travel to for Black travelers
Thanks I'll take that into consideration
