I ‘accidentally’ bought a whole bunch of zombies and skeleton recently with no idea what I was going to use them for. Now I know.
I, meanwhile, have a bunch of zombie and ghost models in my pile of shame, waiting to be added to my undead horde. Getting more opportunities to use them is just fantastic.
Favorite part of every year is when a new Snarling Badger game drops
My Cursed City minis are going to make perfect fodder for my deathly horde.

Having just bought, printed and bound y’all’s first ‘zine from last year, I’m very interested in this latest project - the art looks absolutely wicked, and the theme is a great one that has seen way too little exploration in any sort of gaming space. This is an awesome collab. Snarling Badger, amazing cover art & colors, Knucklebones grim sculpts, and Sam's sketch art. As an owner of many GW/Mantic undead forces and unabashed fan of Frostgrave - this seems like a no-brainer to try out.

Graveyard Wars!
Loosely based on the “classic” trashy reality tv show Storage Wars teams of necromancers bid on crypts, mausoleums and ancient battlefields then battle it out with what corpses they can raise from the lots they have brought in the previous round.
Woohoo. I've been sitting on a bunch of Reaper and Runewars minis with no opponents. Time to play the badguy.

Hey Vince! Congrats on the new game. Deth Wizards looks fun and I will be picking it up. How many undead will there be in a average warband? I'm visualizing hordes of the dead bashing into each other on the small board size and how much chaotic fun it's going to be
So to start, the hordes can range from 2 to 7 undead, depending on your choices. As you grow, the maximum you could ever have is 19 (dread horde master, all small undead), but the more likely would be something like 6-8.

It would be super cool to have a game or player finder section somewhere to find players and games like this.
If anyone’s interested I’m in Los Angeles (specifically Lancaster/Palmdale) and could really use some Deth Wizardry!!!

I like the premise. Feels like a more robust and baroque version of Magnagothica Malegahst (another Necromancer skirmish game, but one that is very small scale)

This sounds amazing. I gotta ask how much balance went into this because I played Reign in Hell with friends and while everyone agreed it was a fantastic idea it felt a lot like an alpha version with some very obvious problems.
Sure, we tested this quite a lot. Perfect balance is never our goal, but we want a fun experience. Tom (our developer) spent about 8 weeks going through the math, running the entire campaign multiple times and making iterative adjustments. Its our most tested game to date and we've grown a lot since RiH days. :)

What a great idea! The classic Undead always had a special place in my heart. Some of the most creative humans are related with the "-deth" wordspiel, so that was a very good choice and some out there now might feel humbled.
Doing my own cards for "holy" Daemonology in the Old World atm., but only with stolen art. Very time-consuming but you want to hold something special when casting "Steed of Sunlight" or "Vortex of Blades" instead of the evil counterpart spell.
One of my oldest Necromancer characters sure will chuckle in delight when he's much more the centre of attention than in other games. So let us join you all in UNDETH and rattle those bones, I'm here for it!

This sounds fantastic & very flavourful, just wandering if the agnostic miniatures have a size or height limit & can I buy a physical copy in Blighty 👍
In general, with the normal minions, they should be on a 25-32mm base, but you could go up slightly without the world breaking. The larger guys (giant skeletons and such) are of course on bigger bases. It will be some time before physical copies are in local stores, but you can get the physical copy shipped to you know (and have the PDF immediately) through the link in the description.

I am a fan grim, dark, and gritty classics tabletop roleplaying games! And skeletons! This is for me!
Awesome! Solo play + fantasy is right up my ally! I have plenty of undead, but how many of each type of hero will I need? How many villagers? I like having and painting the appropriate models.
We're putting up a blog post today with all of the model counts and sources for model options. But to answer you directly, something like 3-5 is generally fine and then about 7-8 villagers per player (that is the max for the whole campaign through all scenarios).
First I love Vince and everything he does, this looks very cool 😆. Second… Am I the only one who saw the thumbnail and initially read it as Seth Wizards 🙄

Great job with the rules!. I feel like I can quickly and easily build any custom necromancer + horde I'd want and have them all be unique mechanically.

How many miniatures will you need for a Necromancers warband?

In general, to start out, you need your necromancer and 2-7 undead, depending on how you build. Then over the course of the campaign, you tend to add somewhere between 3 and 8 more undead, again, depending on what you choose for your horde.
Sounds like Frostgrave with only necromancers.
I suppose if Frostgrave is Mordheim with only wizards. ;) - In play, they are very different games, though Frostgrave is awesome for sure.

Looks so good! The artwork had me sold instantly! One question, do the cards have artwork?
The cards are the text, sadly, we didn't have enough room really to add much in the way of artwork, the back of the non-hero cards has the Deth Wizards simple text art, like the back cover of the book.
No worries! I went ahead and ordered the book and PDF combo. And apparently the dark gods have blessed me and smile upon your game because not long after placing the order I checked my mail and behold my miniatures from beQuest miniatures have arrived. They are some old-school styled, metal skeletons and a necromancer!
I don't play any Army Scale games but as a gift my wife bought me the large Nagash model. How hard would it be to adapt the rules to use this very large figure?
Oh boy, he's real big. I guess he could just be a really imposing giant skeleton. Depends on what you want to do with him. That is a toughy, for sure.
Sounds super fun Vince, I just watched the bat rep and your show on Scott's channel. As someone trying to start a campaign for a small group of friends, what would be a good "pool" of heroes you'd suggest? I.e. a wizard, a couple priests, a handful of warriors, etc.? What's a good collection of "core" heroes?

Looks and sounds awesome - picked up a copy - question about the controllers unique powers. They have 2 (traitorous strike and appropriate undead) but sound like the same thing except for the range. Is that correct? Thanks Vince!
Yep, this was a misprint in the book. We will correct the PDF and publish and FAQ, there should be a second unique power. I also posted the corrected text in our discord (which you can join through snarling badger dot com, top left). Apologize for the error.

Yep, it's the legacy most focused directly on its creations, on what they make, rather than the magic. So they have two abilities that reflect that interest.

Perhaps it’s petty of me, but the UK spent years loudly proclaiming they’re better than the rest of Europe and how we’re just coming over to steal their jobs and live off of benefits. Then they held a vote and decided they were better off without us. Say you don’t want my business or anything to do with me, and I’ll gladly not give you my business and I’ll want nothing to do with you. If the UK changes its mind and wants to be our friend again, preferably with some humility this time, then it’s welcome back. But until then they should be treated like the medium sized regional power they are and expect trade agreements to match.

Yes, they are just published through the website for now. THey will roll public. You can't release a bunch of videos public on UA-cam or it will stop sharing/recommending your videos.

So the "main" necromancers come from myminifactory but for minions you can use any model? "Miniature agnostic" is a new term to me!
You can use whatever models you like for everything yes! We just wanted to offer people a jumping off point in case they didn't want to hunt around as much, but any minis for all models is good - its totally up to you!

This game looks great. I saw on the wargamevault that P16 The controller seems to have two times the same "Unique Necromatic Power" effect. Is that an error that needs corrected? I wanted to get the printed book but not sure how long until corrections are made?
That is an error for sure. We likely wouldn't update the book, as that takes the book down for 2 weeks, but we will publish an FAQ promptly with the correct information for Traitorous Strike. Unfortunately, no matter how many times we read and edit, something always squeaks through.

Do I have to order the cards and the book separately? Kind of a bummer to pay for shipping twice. Is there a way around this?
Sadly yes, they don't have a way to combine them on the site, its unfortunate to say the least and we have raised a request to have them inclusive in some way, but right now, they come from 2 different printers.
What's the ratio of card add-on decks to players? 1:1? 1:4? Looking to pick this up for a group of 3-4 players and wondering how many decks would be helpful.
Probably 1:2 if you don't mind a little sharing. Ideally, everyone has their own cards to track their minions, and their lairs, but sharing reference on the heroes is probably easy enough.

The skeleton units have a rule that reduce damage by 1. Is this to a minimum of 1, or can this ability completely negate damage if it would be reduced to 0?
Nope, it could make it zero damage. :) Some hits just don't land on Skeletons! :)
