Everybody looks down on necromancers, but I tell you what, do you have any idea how much effort it takes to raise a family on your own?
Not just effort but expense - they’re not eligible for child benefit.
Ha you got a good laugh for that one
Diablo 2 had a great Necromancer skill set. Always went to Necromancer skeleton build.
If you own the graveyard and can dictate the distance between graves, it's not that bad :-P
heyoooooo
Farmer ‘Raising a family is hard’
Necromancer ‘Not if they’re buried close to each other’
Farmer ‘What!?!’
Necromancer ‘What?’
"Do you like the undead? Skeletons, zombies, ghouls, vampires, ghosts and the like? Do you want to be their manager?"
I've already managed the night shift at Walmart - same thing! 😂
Anyone who has managed in corporate America will be feeling that line.
Well…could you have…blown them up whenever you felt like it…with…but a thought?..
@@AkhshamiKsyAksKhaos It was against company policy. Corporate cracked down on disintegrating employees in the mid-2000s.
The undead have surprisingly good unions.
@@benjihound993 …I don’t think the mindless fodder are at that point yet…the wights and other intelligent undead…yes I can see that…
Adam: "Do you like the undead?"
Me: * Looks at undead mini collection * "Perhaps."
Same here, easily my most common miniatures.
I'm painting up a GW Necromancer right now, with the Warcry Ghouls up next. I'm planning on using them for Mordheim, but it's always good to have options.
Every model is an undead model if you get creative with the paintjob!
Ha! Same
@@AndrewMcColl the same GW Necro featured in this video? I love this mini, but have never painted it. Currently primed black. Maybe this will convince me to finally paint him?
You had me at "silently touching the skull in inappropriate places". Just shut up and take my money!
He missed a *Boop* opportunity though.
OMG I am hyped for this. SOLO !? FANTASY!? UNDEAD ?!
Angela Deth approves of her ancestral wasteland being featured 😁
Also, Dungeon Keeper vibes.
Take my money.
Dungeon Keeper and maybe a bit of Overlord ,,, all that's missing is a dungeon to defend.
"You do not have enough gold to raise creatures...."
Under other, less, eh, exploitative circumstances this would've been such an awesome supplement for Necropolis!
What do you mean? Thanks for watching!
I have been building up an Undead horde since 1998, but I've never actually played a game with it. Plus, I read every book of Undead lore I can get my hands on, so this is RIGHT up my street. Adam and Vince, you guys are the BEST!
As an AoS death player this is so made for me, thank you soo much
Ossiarch or Soulblight?
@@isaacgraff8288 soulblight, Nighthaunt, and I was gifted someone's old FEC
Those Martin McCoy paintings are stunning. I don't want to look irreverent and say I might buy the printed book "only" for that, but it's very likely it will be the deciding factor.
He (and Sam) did amazing work, truly. Thanks for watching!
His work on the Necropolis rule book is even better
If you like that art, look up necropolis 28! Same artist
Love this concept! Also just want to say I really appreciate the commitment Snarling Badger have shown to including solo modes in your games - I love Reign in Hell and Space Station Zero, and am looking to pick up the Majestic-12 one - I'll definitely be picking this up too. I'm already planning my lair -which in itself could be a fun modelling project!
You should totally give necropolis 28 a look, also undead warband themed, also has a small board, and same artist!
@@supertoastdemon Thanks so much for the recommend my mate - I'll check that out for sure!
Just finished watching Vince's video and this drops. Loved the two previous games and this one has got my favourite theme so far, so definitely looking forward to trying it. Bonus points as I'll be able to use the first miniatures I ever painted, a trio of skellies!
Love the aesthetic of the full plate wearing necromancer at 3:15, if that was one of the models it'd be an instabuy for me :D
I am SO SOLD on this :D! Finally, the days of being mocked for my eclectic collection of seemingly random undead models are coming to an end!
I so wish I could see this collection. I bet it's fucking immaculate.❤
@@elyzzabeth Eh, immaculate might be an overstatement, but let´s just say I´ve got enough bodies in there to equip my whole gaming group with warbands 😄. For whatever reason, undead are the only type of minis that I´ll buy even if I don´t have a specific project for them in mind. They´re just so fucking cool.
With no hesitation an immediate purchase, ( now I’ll watch the rest of the video😅) I really appreciate your solo modes as it’s my only way to play, you guys know what makes a game, very much enjoy your library and the stories they create. It would be nice to see the cards available direct in the UK at some point as the book is. Hats off to all involved. 👌
The minis look terrific - - it's like Larry MacDougall's art from Earthdawn and Shadowrun brought to life
Knucklebones does great work, we were happy to partner with them. Thanks for watching!
My favorite time of the year - new Snarling Badger game day! And this time.... necromancy? SWEET!
I gave the game a shot and I really did enjoy it, cheers to you and Vince and all involved for coming up with something really enjoyable.
You hooked me, grabbed the game. Glad to support people doing things right. Solo/co-op choices in a skirmish undead setting is right up my alley. The artwork is excellent.
Love being a necromancer and always choose to be one of the option is available in games. Can’t wait to get this and try it out.
Really cool you have a partnered with Knucklebones miniatures!
Can't wait to read this over the weekend!
Watched this video immediately bought the book and cards, gonna play my first game today and I'm so excited. Necromancy is totally my jam and this looks awesome, thanks Uncle Adam and Vince!
Yesssssssssss new Badger game and it's all about UNDEAD!!!
Uncle Adam: “We have Necropolis at home”
Just like any other game, inspiration is taken and used. No different than any other genre of war or skirmish game anymore, it's all been done. Just play it and have fun
Or don't, it's all good either way!
The opening alone made the laugh out loud. Don't let the intrusive thoughts win. Or maybe do. You do you. :)
Can't believe nobody has posted the "...sword... axe... and your dead brother!" joke.
You flipped the solo skirmish roles! This looks so cool
Solo, Co-Op, campaing, Nec-romance-rs full of love - sold! Can't wait to test it!
Martin McCoy and Sam Lenz for the art? I'm sold!
You might want to take a look at Necropolis, too, if you like Martin McCoy drawing skeletons
Love the concept. For a change you're not The Noble Knight of The Holy Light. Naww, you're there to drown the land in zombies and all the cool necromancer stuff. Sure hope the book explains the difference between all the types of evil ghosts, they all sound like different words for the same thing to me ^^
Perfect timing - I painted all of my Zombicide: Black Plague zombies a few months ago.
I bought the rules the week after they were released, and have been playing it solo every opportunity I get. I love this game - it's awesome. Vince and Uncle Atom have greatly improved on other solo games I've played. Best solo game currently available IMO.
The vid was an absolute hoot! Looking forward to the game!!!
This looks a lot like necropolis28, but just with GW minis...
You can use whatever minis you want, that’s why we call it miniatures-agnostic… I just had a lot of GW miniatures available on hand when I made the video. As for Necropolis, I’ve heard a bit about it but I thought it was a world of necromancers or something like that, but I haven’t learned more about it. Thanks for watching!
This looks awesome
I wasn't going to comment but I read this part on the snarling Badger website:
"The main question we have often been asked when it comes to antagonists is how many are needed if I play through the whole game. Below is a list of the maximum number of any single Hero that could appear in any individual scenario (including when played in Advanced mode). Remember, the number of individual Heroes generated in any given scenario may be random, so you may never need this maximum number. All numbers are the maximum per player participating.
Paladin: 5
Priest: 3
Ranger: 3
Rogue: 3
Warrior: 6
Wizard: 4
Villager: 7+ (One scenario may require more, depending on how fast you kill them). "
You have no idea how useful a list like this is. Other games rarely having shopping/inventory lists for them and to see this makes things so much easier to plan out anything else I might need to print or buy. Now I wait for my hobby budget to refresh and I'll scoop this for sure. Thanks Adam and Vince!
"do you like the undead"
do vampires hate the sun?
Well...which vampires? Dracula could originally walk around during the day :D
@@Sammo212 True! The sun wasn't fatal to Dracula, but it did limit his powers. From the [fictional] journal of Mina Harker: "His power ceases, as does that of all evil things, at the coming of the day. Only at certain times can he have limited freedom. If he be not at the place whither he is bound, he can only change himself at noon or exact sunrise or sunset."
I am sure a Researching Necromancer can find a way to keep their Vampires from exploding if the Sun hits them.
If that Masquera one could only make like 3 pure "Vampire ass Vampires" clans.. you can write whatever.
Little-known fact: Parasols were originally invented by a necromancer trying to keep his vampires from getting dusty.
The tiny hats just completed the look.
As usual, this looks fantastic. Another great addition to my Snarling Badger collection!
wow! i never thought you would do official miniatures, i'm sure people will love that. the game looks awesome
Gotta agree with some of the other comments on here, this is very much like Necropolis28 (a great game btw). The fact one of the same artists is used seems eerily coincidental, especially as both this and Necropolis28 lean into the Mordheim vibes.
I was already gonna buy this book, but bro that layout and art got me drooling , great job yall
I bought this last night and I ordered a bunch of terrain as well! I let the homies know and we're pumped! The artwork in the book is fantastic too!
Ooooh this is up my alley! I have so many undead models that can be taken out of boxes
Congratulations on a new game!
The art looks amazing, I didn't know Sam was a traditional artist. Very cool!
I haven't delved into fantasy miniatures yet, but I'll definitely keep this in mind! I'm very curious about Stargrave and Space Station Zero, though, congrats on another cool release!
Looks very cool. Nice video. Keep up the good work.
I've been printing out what I didn't already have for an AoS/ToW undead army for the last two weeks and you drop this? Most excellent timing!
Sounds really fun and like you have put a ton of effort into this. Quest of revenge as an evil necromancer? Accept!
Sold. Not even bothering to check out the rules.
POD book on the way!
This is right up my alley (been collecting various undead since 5th ed Warhammer Fantasy) although for once, I'd like to play a necromancer who set themselves up in an ancient out-of-way crypt to research in peace and just wants to be left alone.
I’m not sure that makes for an exciting game, but maybe it’s an expansion. Thanks for watching!
@@tabletopminions To be fair, for there to be a game and not a Sims: necropolis edition, you'd have to get attacked by heroes and adventurers in your lair, which actually does sound like a fun expansion or homebrew idea to me. The rules about lairs and terrain you already have in the game seem like an inspiring start.
Whatever gives me the opportunity to yell "MINIONS!" whenever I activate said minions is nice to have. Gonna check that out.
Awww yeah, muh boyz Adam and Vince putting the romance back in necromancy!!! ❤
You should check out necropolis 28, same artist, and also all about necromancy!
Honestly I'd be really cool to have a kickstarter or other group-buy for premium but reasonable printings of all the snarling badger games, maybe hardcover or nice soft-cover with reference cards etc.
We’re not interested in doing Kickstarters, honestly. Also, using print on demand keeps the book always in stock and always accessible for people as long as we want. Thanks for watching!
Cool! Looks like OPR's Vampiric Undead line would fit a lot of the horde. Imma hafta check this out.
Add to cart!!!! Love every game you guys make and this goes perfect with monster fight club terrain. I would kill to work on a game with you!
I'm excited to give this a go next game night :)
This game looks great! I just ordered book and Cards. Gonna Start painting up a necromancer tomorrow.
Didn't take me long to pick this up. Loving the look & feel of this one. Its great to start another project with yet a different set of minis I've collected but not yet painted (Vampire's) and play solo if needs be.
Honestly bookmarking this for later, right now don't have anyone near me that's interested in table top games likes this, but I'm slowly exposing folks to more advanced board games so perhaps this will be something I can steer them to.
It does play solo mode, too. Thanks for watching!
Looks great. Good luck on the launch. You'll be taking my money soon for this.
I *knew* there was a reason I picked up the Warp Miniatures skeleton and zombie sets.
And the fact that you guys partnered with Knucklebones for minis is incredible.
They do great stuff!
The necromancer minis are nice. I've been looking for STLs that look hand sculpted for awhile now.
Knucklebones does tons of amazing work, check out his other stuff as well. Thanks for watching!
Excellent...Will have to give this a look!
Sam’s artwork looks amazing. That cover paint is fantastic. I’m buying this for the art alone.
Perfect! I am currently in the process of building and painting a ton of models for Frostgrave. Love that they'll overlap with Deth Wizards!
Just bought the game straight after watching the video, no hesitation!
Another indie tabletop game for this year. Deth Wizard is interesting. The artworks are amazing.
A solution for some of the Underworld models that are in their boxes still on the sprues and unpainted.
This my favorite game yet!
Space Station Zero is my favorite game from Snarling badger! But I think we may have a challenger. And just like your other games, I have so many models that work for it already! Rock on!!!!!!
Woohoo! New snarling badger game! Always great.
Whao! fresh new release. Ugg, I need more undead minis.
Same as me, I have Curced City and Vengorian Court boxes, and the day before yesterday I brought home Rivals of the Mirrored City with Thorns of the Briar Queen in them. Maybe it will be enough or maybe not. I don't have any mummies yet XD
10/10 for showmanship Adam 💀
“Stunt skull” lmao! Looking forward to picking this up, thank you for all you do!
Congrats on new game out you Snarling legend
Love it! Glad I can use all my 30" w 22" boards!!!
I would never have expected that, but it does sound amazing.
Excellent! Love the dark fantasy without just being a rehash of a typical skirmish setup. Day 1 purchase!
As I said over on Vince's channel:
Hell yeah! Ordered.
Took the opportunity to finally pick up the cards for Majestic 13 too.
Can't wait to try this one out.
Ordered!!! Can't wait to have the book in my hands :D
I'm in! It looks like an instant hit on my gaming table. Can't wait to the Every Other Sunday Show to chat about Deth Wizards!
This sounds fun! Will try next week.
"Deth Wizards is designed from the ground up to play solo..."
Wait... so it's NOT just ANOTHER 2 player game?!...
A game I can play when it fits MY schedule and whether or not there is a community in my part of the planet?!
You just got another customer!
😊👍
Actually, our last three games (Deth Wizards, MAJESTIC 13, and Space Station Zero) are all designed to be played solo AND co-op AND versus. So take a look at those as well if you’re interested. Thanks for watching!
Just bought it can't wait to try it!
I've always said, you can never have too many skellies.
Played first game co-op with my fiancé, we tried playing some warhammer but she wasn’t super into it. She said she really enjoyed playing deth wizards though, and wants to play again! Great game!
So cool... literally was just unpacking undead from the storage boxes yesterday!!
Instant buy, love all your works and keeping the spirit of narrative skirmish alive!
Thanks Adam and Vince! By a strange coincidence, my mini collection is chock-o-block with undead.
we have got to get this and play!
Bloody brilliant. Ordered and can’t wait to play it. Thank you.
This sounds cool as hell. Definitely gonna check it out
It’s like this was made just for me, I’m told by all my friends
Ok so a few minutes after I placed my order I go check the mail to find the old school style metal skeletons and a necromancer from beQuest miniatures arrived! The dark gods have truly blessed me and look favorably upon your new game 🤘
Looks very cool! Awesome work!
Just finished reading the book. Can't wait to play it this weekend. Looking forward to seeing if you make an expansion to this. I can def see something like this becoming the next five leagues from the borderlands.
Dude, THIS is the game I have been wanting that I didn't know I wanted. Purchasing now
This is definitely my speed! Love the aesthetic. Will be getting it soon.
As soon as I saw the thumbnail, the words "f@#k yeah" were uttered. I love all your videos!
Frostgrave: Oops! All Necromancers
The rulebook has been done very nicely. Great graphics and excellent layout. Can't wait to give the game a go.
The usual questions:
- Is there a Discord server? A Subreddit?
- Did you do a "Deth Wizards for Dummies" of sorts? Meaning: an overview over companies having a "one stop shop" for undead and opposition (GW and Frostgrave come to mind), maybe a list of suggested 3D print suppliers of your choice, a quick "guideline for bases" (ideally with examples for everything in the game), some examples layouts for scenarios (to see the table and terrain in real, not as a schematic), a couple of example warbands and opposing forces - you get the idea.
- GMG Review, when?
Discord server is listed on the website - see the icon at the top of each page. There’ll be a blog post this afternoon about places to look for minis. I’ll be sending Ash a copy today or tomorrow. Thanks for watching!
