😂 I was thinking the same ! It would NOT have been good. I'm a bit surprised that canned palm hearts and artichokes are not easily available in Germany. I'm from Switzerland and live in France and you'll find both in all supermarkets in both countries I particularly enjoy a palm heart and tuna salad for a quick lunch. For the onion pasta (which looks delicious), I was thinking that one could probably find frozen sliced onions in supermarkets (well, in France anyway, not sure about other countries) which would save a lot of work and crying. Great recipes, thanks Naomi ! And wonderful make up of course, et j'ai adoré ton béret ❤
@@anne-claudec9405 Ich habe das Video jetzt noch nicht gesehen, aber es gibt Palmenherzen und Artischockenherzen in fast jedem Supermarkt in Deutschland. Artischockenherzen auch bei Lidl und Aldi.
Freeze your onions the night before and thaw a few hours before you cook. The water makes them soft and can actually speed up the caramelization process! I make a lot for our food trucks. This method is a time savor
Might I make a suggestion: if you really love the French onion soup pasta and don't want to wait for the onions to caramelize, I would make a huge batch of them. Spend a few hours, yes, a few hours, and really cook down the onions until they are a jammy consistency. You can then add those to your pasta, and you don't have to wait every time for them to cook down. That is what I would do. Make a huge batch at the beginning of the week and then add them when I want. Plus you will have this delicious onion jam you can put on other things like toast.
I'd like to see you make Louisiana/southern cuisine for a whole day since you said you've never tried flavourful Mac n cheese and like make a cajun seafood boil, collard greens, cornbread, etc. I think you'd really like it 🤗
Was just about to come and make this comment! You haven't had the "right Mac and cheese. Will take more time for some dishes, but they will never be unseasoned 😆
My favorite mac and cheese recipe is the one below. I use a bit less cheese and measure most things by eye: Gouda, sharp cheddar, and Italian blend. Been a hit dish for years at every event I'm been at! ua-cam.com/video/snsEjQKO-s8/v-deo.htmlsi=oRRIL-kQjPu3bnRs
Our girl really ordered Walmart brand mac and cheese from ebay haha! I hope you didn't have to pay too much for it Naomi! Ebay tends to overcharge, but happy you got to try it!
Brown sugar in America is not the same as the brown sugar you buy in Germany! You can make American brown sugar by mixing one tablespoon of Goldsadt into one cup of white sugar:) it is like a sticky sugar and I use it for baking! My German family always asks me what my secret ingredient is and that is it!
If you ever make the french onion soup pasta again, or something else that requires caramelized onions, do like 4 times the amount you actually need and then freeze the extras in ziplock bags. They'll be good in the freeze for like 3 months, and if you use a bigger pan it won't take much longer, even with the larger amount :)
Can we talk about how pretty Naomi’s eyes are?? The make up look that she had when she was making the food for her lunch (4:28), it makes her eyes look like an icy blue!!! OH MY GOSH NAOMI YOU ARE SO PRETTY!! 💜

My gripe with the first one, the cheese toast, is that the underside isn't toasted all, its floppy & just as white as when you popped them in there. I think a light toasting of the bread as a first step would be good if anyone tries this!!✨
Hi Naomi ✨ this mac and cheese's pasta is called "Lumachine" which basically means little snails in Italian! The brand that produces lumachine that are really close to the one I've seen in the video are from "Divella" if you're interested 🦸🏻♀️ It's always nice watching your videos, keep it up girl 🗣️💖
Hearts of palm are very very popular in Brazil :) we love eating it raw in salads or so and also make stuffing with it together with tomatoes, onion to fill pot pies and other kinds of things! It's a treat! 😍
I think a good way to add some flavour to Mac and cheese is to use about 3 different types of cheese and if you make it in a casserole dish you can add bread crumbs on top and really season those:)
I love how the Mac and cheese came out and all these food recipes I might have to try! Much love from California I love how her makeup looked too so beautiful 🫦👊🏼😤
Those artichokes MUST have not been processed the BEST way, because artichokes are good! My mom cooked raw artichokes. I only ever had them like that. (The leafs are eaten by dipping them in a nice sauce (my mom made a balsamic dressing) and then kind of sliding the ‘meat’/thick part off with your teeth.. if that makes sense xD)

I think it was "eating a specific colour from the rainbow for 7 days straight" or smth like that☺ Just thought i would tell you! Artichokes tastes sooo good!

Yes! You can freeze the caramelized onions, too, in small amounts that you can just grab from the freezer and toss into whatever dish you're making🤗
