Can i ad a difrent bit like for fance post hole
As of right now this is the only bit it has. A weeder bit is coming out soon for this tool. As far as other aftermarket types of bits I don't know if they'll fit.
Would this go through around a city tree?
Won't go through roots but regular ground.
Where can you buy craftsman tools ever since sears closed its doors craftsman disapeared from Canadian outlets.
you can get them at lowes, ace hardware, amazon, blains farm and fleet, atwoods ranch and home, and zoro.com. in canada also rona has them but I believe they are transitioning to another ownership

Cheaper to buy an auger but for your drill rather than having 1 tool perform 1 function

Plastic bit is okay in soft soil. Box says "Compatible with other craftsman specific garden bits" Craftsman doesn't even make any.
they are making attachments for this. the next attachment for this tool is a weeder attachment. it will retail for $20. I actually have it on pre-order at this time. when it's released we will do an update video. the auger is made out of steel so no plastic bits.
Are you referring to the auger being plastic?
I got mine at Lowes on clearance, The Auger bit is Plastic!

It's a good tool. The auger attachment is heavy duty
how much use have you gotten out of it?
Actually more than I expected. I used it in a professional setting for a client to start a hole for post anchor stakes. Saved my butt by being efficient and fast rather than digging
Looks like a garbage tool, they obviously have no hopes for this tool, they would of made it with a brushless motor
It's a good tool. Doesn't have to be brushless. Does what it's supposed to do.
