  • Recently I modified a goldrat mini 6 inch river sluice to allow it to be used as a highbanker or a river sluice when required, firstly purchased the top hopper box assembly from gold rat and performed a few simple mods..
    Some crevice material was used from random samples along the creek for its initial testing.

    That was some really nice gold !! should be happy with that. That high banker will work awesome with your hand pump if you can set it up close to your dig site. I don,t know if the hand pump is legal here in Canada , but you have given me lots to think about. Thanks for the video , look forward to the next one!

    Hey mate. I bumped into you at reedy creek a while back. When we were asked to leave by CFA due to fires in the area. How did you end up going along that stretch of river?

    Nice looking gold, indeed :D What bilge pump were you using? Sounded nice and quiet and pushed a good amount of water in

      Cheers, the pump I used was a cheap eBay 3700gph, I have also got a little Ozito brand one that moves a similar amount of water

      @@hitandmissprospecting3833 Great video - I have the same mini sluice...how exactly did you "wingnut a backplate onto it"?

    • @hitandmissprospecting3833
      @hitandmissprospecting3833  5 років тому +2

      Adrian, I just had a piece of aluminium sheet with about a 25mm right angle folded on it that sat snug between each side of the sluice and drilled 2 small holes in the base where the right angle sits against it and installed two 6mm bolts with wing nuts on them..
      It’s not a structural thing, more just a wall to prevent water flowing out the back.
      I hope that info helps
