Fellow PNW rider here! Stoked you grabbed one of these as well. I’ll definitely be following to see what you do with it. I grabbed the standard version and added quick shifter.
@@vcyclenut I’m out in port orchard and commute to Seattle for work. Curious what you’ll think once you get 100-150 miles on yours. Seems to me bike gets hot rather quickly and is a little sputtery on maintenance throttle but I’m quite picky.
@@vcyclenut got a response back from them very quickly. They want as many pics as possible of the ecu and part numbers. They also said more requests = higher priority we will get for a new product from them. So anyone else reading this, email them!
First of all the RVE could easily fit in my full garage. Something about Ducati's ability to produce another non-practical motorcycle that is totally lust-worthy... Looking forward to hearing about your riding impressions. Also seeing the stock dyno curve. There is lots of speculation that the torque is late and peaky. As a former 701SM owner, I confess to surfing that torque of the easiest rheostat control to wheelies I have ever had. If this 698 has any of that feeling my wallet may be in trouble. Waiting for a real review... Congrats.
Once I've signed up, I'm waiting for it too, curious to see the changes you'll make. Same impression as you when I saw them live. The RVE looks like a more premium bike than the standard one, thanks to the beautiful glossy graphics and the red wheels that give a very nice "depth" effect 🤩
figure you could hack a map for the wheelie assist to the stock exhaust, or maybe a set of aftermarket slip-ons? Ducati might like termi, but a lot of owners don't.
ahhhh, i thought you were some kind of bike rom wizard... didn't know you just used someone's premade code. Just stumbled on the video looking up 698 🤟 @@vcyclenut
Thanks! Just waiting on the roads to dry to get my street portion of the tuning done on the hindle. Then ill be wrapping it up and doing a direct comparison to the graves low mount back to back on the dyno.
I want this bike, the only thing that bugs me is the RVE on the side. Don't know what it stands for, don't feel like looking it up, and it just looks dumb. It just needs a small bit of black or red vinyl to cover it up.

Sweet! Where are you located?

Can’t wait to see what you do with the 698
Looks like a fun bike. The dual exhaust looks freggin sweet!
glad to see you got one of these too, i had one of your tunes on my old fz09 a few years ago
looks awesome man! congratulations!
Looking forward to your dyno runs and tunes for this bike. Will be buying a tune from you once one is ready.
That 698 is a work of art!
Looks like a blast to ride. By next year the aftermarket should be caught up with the dress & performance parts.

Congratulations on your new motorcycle, looks awesome & nice video, have fun and ride safe
Thanks! 👍
I'm torn between this and the 950 but when I think about how much the 690 weighs as much as my drz400sm with twice the power sounds fun
Nice buy
wonder how real numbers compare to euro5 690/701

Like i said in the video i dont have any of those answers yet and wont until the software comes out and its fully tested and developed

@@tiltfuze lol. I create my own tunes not my own software.
My tunes are 100% custom created by me. Not using someones canned tune
Definitely jealous of the motard, I hope to get one at some point. Excited to see your results of the hindle system on the zx4.
Thanks!

Someone please make a single sided swing arm for the 698.
Congratulations 🤙 Have you had Ducatis before? Get ready for quirkiness 😎
Yes. A 996/999/1299 and v4.
Passenger pegs are kind of crashbar. Effectiveness obviously depends on the bike.
Nice! I recently got the Hypermotard 950. Do you flash the 950s ecu?
Congratulations. No sorry i do not.
Thanks for the video, as I am thinking about getting one. Any idea what's top speed on this thing?
look at my dyno testing video , I show it
Another awesome bike!!
thanks
Why do you have to buy the exhaust system for the wheelie control? Is it just a sales pitch or is it genuinely needed?
I can say for sure the basic wheelie control is weak. If you are able to wheelie well you can turn it off.

Really Very Expensive
Why do the cables loop over the headlight like that? It looks like a handle.
To mimic dirt bikes and Supermotos
To pick it up ?
You get a deal or paid full msrp? I really want to get this bike.
full msrp. im guessing it will be a while before you can get one below
Are numbrr 1 stickers removable ?
negative, even the front one is cleared over
Hows the seat?
Let you know when i get some miles on it
Man, I'd tear that thing up in a week. Sweet bike, though.
