Castel Gandolfo 2023, One of The Best Day Trips from Rome

Looking to escape the crowds of Rome for a bit? Castel Gandolfo is the perfect escape. Make a full or half day out of it. Both the main town with it's castle and the lake are within walking distance of the train station. Just 40 minutes by train from Termini Station. The train costs about 2 euro each way. The lake offers swimming, sailing, kayaking and paddle boards and boats. Loads of lakeside restaurants to choose from. This is a great escape from the Rome crowds for a change of pace.
