The Legendary Battle Royale of GIANT BOSSES - Elden Ring
Вставка
- Опубліковано 22 лип 2024
- In this elden ring video I've placed the 5 largest bosses in the game on the same battlefield and had them fight each other to determine which boss is the strongest.
The bosses I spawned are the Fire giant (2nd phase), Rykard, Elden beast, Astel and Dragonlord Placidusax. I purposedly left out Greyoll as well as other dragons in favor of Placi, as he's still the strongest dragon in the game despite having been elden lord before the age of the erdtree according to the elden ring lore.

I'm glad Astel was able to pull a win even if was the game bugging out. The odds were against it since it's a mid game boss against a bunch of end game bosses but by god it did it!

I love the 1v1 between the elden beast and placidusax in the second fight. The elden beast is the one who took placidusax’s power in the first place and it’s cool to see him show why he was the elden lord back in his day.
Edit: it was in the third fight lol
where does it say the elden beast took his power? From what I know, all that is stated is that his god left him.
@@syn3475 Its assumption considering the Placi was the previous lord who was usurped. Elden Beast though used others and if it was in Marika with a bunch of other demi gods no wonder Placi got wrecked. Elden Beast only beat the giants because it had Godfrey, Maliketh and tons of demigods
@@Henbot Placidusax got fucked far before Marika was a properly stablished power.
Could you imagine 2nd round Astel doing that to you? Glitches out and basically does infinite meteors. And Radahn would just be standing there like “I told you so.”
Ghost!Radahn judges your choices.
And then Radahn RKO’s Astel out of the stratosphere and saves the day
I honestly thought Placi was gonna do much better here with his ability to disappear and giant AOE's and stuff.
His most common claw swipe attack is calibrated toward players in front of him, often enough missing the giant bosses who were just out of reach.
Personally thought Elden Beast was going to do better, with all his long-range attacks, and fairly good mobility. Not to mention he has decent resistances to most types of damage. Unfortunately, it seems the fact Fire Giant has nearly double the HP pool made more a difference than I expected.
He was fing them up in terms of damage wise, but his health bro and poise just too low
@@playboimiah7091 poise was a huge factor-everyone was constantly falling down!
Lmao, I expected no one but the Fire Giant and Rykard lived last with their HP pools.
First round, what a suprise from Placidusax surviving the focus of 2-3 bosses by flying and him doing a final farewell by hitting the two giants with his Lightning Nuke. The Space whale survived long enough with his running tactic.
Second round: I knew Rykard will demolish everyone as soon as he uses his Rancor Storm and his Taker's Fla- Oh shit Astel drank a physick to negate FP cost, guy spammed his meteors until everyone got turned to paste.
Third Round, as expected for Astel to get easily demolished as he got the attention of the 4 with him in the center, oh he escaped. He seems to be spamming his me- oh he got rolled to death. His death is so sudden the framerate died with him. As expected again, 2 big bois lived and lasted the longest.
4th round, yeah whoever is in the middle dies the earliest due to being in the attention of the 4 in range with their attacks. Oh Placidusax hit everyone with his laser downing everyone and killing Astel....and hes the dies. Suprisingly, Elden Beast outlived Rykard though it definitely won by the Fire Giant again and not really suprising as he got the highest dps when he is in range.
5th round Astel bites the dust but not before he rains his meteors. Elden Beast is just barely surviving with the Fire Giant and Rykard having a kaiju showdown and Placidusax flying off to....aaaand hes not coming back. As expected Fire Giant wins.
2nd round rematch, Wowee. Astel got runover by a rolling giant and Elden Beast cooked inside Rykard's lava.
Ouch, Rykard got stunlocked and did not get to use his Takers Flame attack and eating both Placidusax's laser and the Fire Giant's Eruptions before dying. An unexpected survival with Placidusax challenging the Fire Giants winstreak and he died.
Fire giant will win most of the time due to high Fire damage and his consistency to spam many of it including AoE's and his rolls that can demolish aliens with ease apparently.
Im pretty sure AI of each of the bosses is diffrent for example fire giant rolls away when he detects that hes the center of attention placi searches for the safest spot to do lasers on but all tha AI's seem to have 1 same trait they all mainly focus the opponent with the most HP which im pretty sure is rykard
If im not wrong, Placi is suposed to have the best DPS with his beam on. He can melt everyone, but the aim is sus and as pointed out he dont use this move very often cause of AI problems.
Underrated comment
@@HinatoNagasaki He uses this almost one time everytime he hits 25% by screeching while disappearing as well as creating another Ancient Dragon's Lightning Storm, no doubt his powerful move but most likely only be used once as its condition is the same for common bosses unlike the likes of Radahn and Rykard who has a timer on when they will unleash their moves, Radahn reaching half health and using his meteor strike every set minutes while Rykard uses his Rancor Storm in a timer, a lull of peace after using Takers Flame, and again a timer to cast Rancor Storm again.
Placidusax might have a timer near 25% HP but as he is 25%, he might not reach the timer for the second cast.
@@pugwhisperer7211 Poor Rykard also has the biggest hittable hitbox so any lingering attacks like Placidusax's Lightning Nuke upon being near it poise breaks Rykard despite not being near it and why he is always stunlocked sometimes.
I just love how Placi showing his old age - missing most of his thundercloud claw attacks 🤣🤣🤣
If Astel could just teleport away from the actual fighting (esp. away from Rykard and Giant) and spam his space rocks, he could win every round.
Aww, I was rooting for Placidusax the whole time. He was so close during the last battle! Dont worry Placi! You'll always be great in my heart!

I wonder if "Astel, Stars of Darkness" would do better in large-scale battles like this, since he's got ~18,000 HP rather than just the ~11,000 of "Astel, Naturalborn of the Void" and he seemed to be the first one to get taken out very consistently.
I'm not sure if their movesets are different, or if that would work in his favor of not if they are, but given that he's the only boss with a duplicate version it seems like it might be worth trying out if it makes for a better fight.
Stars of darkness has an attack in which it makes copies of itself and attacks with all of them at once.
I haven't seen in in a battle too, only on youtube.
But except for this and health points its the same boss fight.
I will never understand why FS decided to give you a remembrance for a boss that's not even the strongest version smh
@@mamoruchiba752 That could always be because of little things like changes to sub-quests meaning that Naturalborn of the Void was the only one who had a direct quest still leading you to his location.
I think getting the Sorcery "Meteorites of Astel" from the location where Astel's star landed is the most appropriate, and I'm glad that's not locked behind a remembrance.
Doesn't Stars of Sarkness only duplicate itself when you stand in the middle where the light is shining?
So it would be stage dependent, and I'm not sure if the map would recognize the giant bosses as something to trigger that duplication attack.
Astel: gets melted

Ah yes. The way to beat the game. Infinite cast of Meteorite of Astel. More OP than comet azur, as the rocks can stagger enemies and keep them staggered if enough hit.
No the damage is no where near the same. Comet acur outclasses it at mid-high levels of int. I tested this with 99 int and every staff/talisman combo that affects spells. Its not even close how much better azur is terms of damage and frankly stagger doesn’t mean much
@@SecretMarsupial dude, stagger can lead to stunlocks and makes it safer to kill bosses. Patches may have altered this, but Meteorite of Astel is absolutely more OP.
I love how in round 5 Placidusax just kinda peaced out. He saw the Elden Beast go down and went, "that's enough of this for me. Bye, y'all!"
16:06 I never thought that attack from fire giant could go that far
3:51 what about this one lol
Astel went from attacking elden beast to attacking your PC in the second fights
Entertaining fight! Glad to hear there'll be a future vid focused on dragons. :)
The Placidusax lightning strike in the same spot at the Elden beast explosion during round 1 was glorious
They needed to gang up on fire giant. But his stupid roll always got him far enough away that they always swapped targets to someone that moved less. Fire Giant being able to drop aggro with his roll really helped him a lot. Not to mention he could chase people with it. And it does massive damage and has an enormous area of effect.
Fire Giant over here progressively becoming my least favorite boss to ever watch
Astel may have lost like, all the other rounds but he definitely shown the power of a outer god in round 2 thats for sure
I feel like Rykard only gets so far because of his janky hitbox, he avoided a lot of attacks that definitely should have hit him
Admittedly all of them do.
The ai seems to have a strange fixation on trying to hit Rykard's face with ranged attacks.
There's the glitch where you spawn a ton of magic bullets with the bubble weapon to make it infinitly spawn them, I think that's what happens if rykard does his rancor along with astel's meteors
Placidusax in round one really went “stop ignoring me” 😭
Ordinarily, I don't like fights in Fire Giant's arena because its rough terrain makes a lot of attacks look jankier than normal. However, this time it felt like a celebration of jank. You could see the ground through the Elden Beast's body, Rykard stopped working somehow, and Placidusax, after being half buried in the snow, just straight up disappeared. Amazing.
Side note: Astel getting bodied every single round except the one where he bugged out is disappointing, but then I realized it kinda made sense. The first time you see them all in the same room, he looks like the frailest one there. He's like a giraffe in a room full of elephants; yeah he's big and tall, but he's sentient Nerds candy rope with stick-bug legs. And that's kinda reflected in his health bar (relative to the rest of them). You think "maybe he'll do well because of his teleports and gravity abilities" but no, your first impression of how he's gonna do is correct, somehow.
Astel bugging out and spamming meteors in round two, then bugging out and instantly dying round 3 was hilarious 😂
I really like that you did so many rematches, after that first fight I was hoping for atlest one. A lot of people don't do it, and it kinda makes me think its like a 1/3 that the boss that won that round really only got good RNG
Is that Astel, Stars of Darkness or Astel, Naturalborn of the Void?
I’m guessing that section of the Rykard fight that spawns all the exploding skulls messed with Astel’s AI? It probably caught him in a spawning loop. Fun to watch though.
That's probably it. There might be a feature of the arena that allows for infinite spawning of projectiles until an end animation is played by the enemy that begins it, but since Astel has no such finisher, it just kept going. Probably not. I just like to think that that's what happened
It was natural born cause it dropped the remembrance. If it was star he might have done better due to star's higher health pool
It’s not fair that Astel was given such an amazing design and awesome looking attacks but then proceeds to be one of the easiest bosses in the game
i think easiness doesn’t rlly equate to quality tho. like rennala was suuuper easy but i really enjoy her fight and visuals, astel too. not everyone has to be a malenia lol
@@godofultraviolence I would never want it to be another malenia. My favorite bosses in the game are rennala, astel, and regal ancestor spirit because of how gorgeous the fights are. But they're over too quickly just because those bosses aren't very difficult

At first I thought the Elden Beast was just gonna fly away and win from range, but then I remembered there are two other guys that can just teleport. Of course that didn't matter with the Fire Giant using the best mobility option, the good ol' roll spam. Worked for the little guy nipping at his ankles on the mountaintop of giants.

This pretty much correlates to their health pool size. I think this video would be way more interesting if you equalized all their health...
