@SomeUserk It seems plausible, given how unique of an attack it is. A few attacks rely on event scripts to function properly, which is essentially code that gives them extra functionality. Many things are controlled by this, from boss health bars to phase transitions and as mentioned some attacks. But these can often be tied to areas, like boss arenas, which is why phase transitions don't normally work outside a bosses arena. It's also why morgott doesn't leave corpse outside his arena. For example, Malanias shadow clones are separate entities, likely kept in memory near Malanias arena. Move her away, and those entities aren't loaded. Spawn a new malenia, you need new clones, and you need to manually tie those new clones to the new malenia through event scripts. It worked the same way in DS3. Pontiff Sulyvahn's clone just doesn't spawn if you move him outside his boss room. Same reason why commander niall and o'niel don't summon their phantoms outside their boss room either. I can't say for certain since I've not really looked at mohg's nihil before, but given the unique interaction with the purifying crystal tear, event scripts are probably involved in the nihil attack. It only seems to break outside his arena, and he also has that issue where he'll do the 'unus duo tres' attack twice, again only outside his boss room. Tldr; Some bosses have attacks and behaviours tied to certain entities or locations. If you move them around, things can break.

It does make me wonder. It's part of the lore that her knights were very powerful and her army was undefeated. As they are when we meet them, they're non-superhumans festering with a supernatural disease that has basically turned them into high-functioning rot-zombies. Would be interesting to see what the clean-rot knights were like before all this time passed and they devolved into the weakened husks they are now.
The Haligtree Knights seem to be the Knights of Miquella, and are more concerned with the defence of their home. The Cleanrot Knights answer to Malenia and go out on military campaigns.

Varre and the other invaders as well as the albinaurics could have been added to Mohgs army but some of the enemies are just unbalanced

Hoarah Loux has 8 legendary minibosses, while Malenia has essentially her basic knights. Not to mention, Crucible Knights in lore abandoned their leader when he was "hounded" from the Lands Between.

You do this in every video with knights but why are there so many greatbow archers in these? Like Radahn's entire faction has ONE (1) living greatbow archer in the entire game (the one at Fort Gael) out of over a hundred respawning enemies (including seven knights), yet they're 50% of his army here.
He needs those archers. Radahn is too weak in game and still lost with his best archers. The one that was ridiculous and knew immediately malenia would lose is maliketh and 4 black blade kindreds. There’s only one of those in game and he’s guarding gurranq. All the other ones are normal without a piece of the rune of death in their blades or whatever. I feel he only should’ve had one and the rest faram beasts. I’ve seen videos where the black blade kindred can defeat most bosses on his own. Even almost defeated maliketh. Even just one kindred plus maliketh would’ve most likely been enough to take out malenia.

Malenia ended up going 10-6, however I may add her 2nd form HARD carried almost every win she got, if her second stage happened at half health like most bosses instead of a brand new health bar, even with the rot she would have lost pretty much all of the engagements aside from 2 or 3. It's made even more obvious how much 2nd form carried when you consider her "undefeated army" kept getting steamrolled and she kept getting ganked because of it XD. I don't think you can call her army undefeated. Even her claim to be undefeated is debatable. But her army? Nearly obliterated in Caelid, and now the few survivors either lurk in swamps or hide at the Haligtree waiting for their leader to wake the fake up. Malenia has power, but her army has never struck me as being uniquely brave or strong. She's the only one who could make the claim of being undefeated with some level of credibility.
