I've owned my 07 caliber for about 5 years now and it breaks down all the time it's actually a lemon despite all the maintenance i put into it... i only keep it around for sentimentality because my mother gave it too me otherwise i wouldn't recommend
I love Chryslers and Dodge, even supposedly crap ones like the PT Cruiser, Sebring and Neon. However I’ve always hated the Caliber. Pig ugly rear, awful CVT gearbox and a typical nasty bland post-Daimler Dodge interior
I wouldn't call it a pos. I rented one on vacay in Miami. It's a starter car for starter drivers or newlyweds or a 2-3 person carpool commuter car. It's NOT a car to haul the family around unless you can't afford something better.
@@U.S.S.SOUTHSIDEbut it’s the WORST starter car. you’d be better off with so many other starter cars that cost the same or even less. it’s an heaping POS
@@dazednconfusedrn LOL! Dunno if it's my imagination or I'm just paying attention but I've been seeing more of them and its cousin the Jeep Compass around Chicago.🧐Granted with rocker panels that look like swiss cheese thanks to Chicago Road Salt.
@@U.S.S.SOUTHSIDE they’re horrifically unreliable, they feel overall cheap and shoddy, and just overall slow and ugly. i will NEVER understand why people would buy one of these over a camry/accord/civic/cr-v/rav4/mazda or even a godamn ford focus. litteraly any vehicle would make a better starter car

I’m sure that cvt wasn’t helping on the reliability
My 07 is doing well. Just have to focus on the maintenance and minor up keep.
my dad has an 07 sxt fwd with the cvt and ZERO optional features, not even the two tone interior 😔 its truly so unbelievably bleh
The Dodge Caliber SRT-4 is the one to get
Refined CVT?! The CVT paired with the unrefined 4 cylinder options made for a truly awful driving experience.
One of the best IMO
This a serious comment?

Dogde Caiiber is no reliable car, is problematic
Biggest POS Dodge ever produced of late. Even the PT Cruiser was way more reliable.
Clearly you’ve never owned one 😂
