To be honest, I never was a fan of sushi but I keep coming back ur channel bc your energy and enthusiasm is addicting. And I enjoy your quick and easy meal vids. Thx from New Jersey USA.
I've recently discovered Hachioji's omakase course in Crows Nest. The chef (Benson) is one of Australia's most creative sushi chefs. He is very clever with his flavor combinations. He makes sushi an exciting experience!
Aaaarrgghhhh!!! This video is a real torture. I love so much sushis and it's been months since I ate good sushis sushis 🍣😭!!! Sitting at the counter is the best to me. This makes the whole experience so much more enjoyable and if you get a good sushi chef who is willing to explain the characteristics of each piece, you learn a lot and appreciate even more what you taste. One time in Japan, the sushi chef who was a senior and experienced chef told us that he is preparing the same piece of sushi differently for a woman and a man because we do not taste exactly the same!
Nice video again, Janice! You’re going a bit bougie now 😆 btw, Hachioji’s style is Fukuoka style sushi, but I reckon if you want the best sushi omakase in Sydney, you need to try Sokyo, Kuon and Sushi Oe!
Good job describing the dishes, not easy with fish especially. What's time span to devour all these delicate dishes ? At a reasonable pace to enjoy the meal I hope. True, another must try place.
. As a foreigner in Japan I was asked (politely) to cover up my tattoos in some establishments and was refused entry into every hot spa unless my tattoos were covered. So the chef is either Koean or Yakuza.
Mr Macau. Hilarious, I was only talking about that particular incident on the weekend because I was having lunch in the beer garden. For a iconic hotspot it was very disappointing.
Hi Janice love the video. I have a question how are you funding your videos to go out and taste different foods? Do U get the meals for free? Or you currently working or does UA-cam pay you for your videos? Let me know I'm really curious :)
Kisuke opted not to renew their lease during covid so this is an entirely new owner/chef with sushi focus (kisuke had great sushi but also a great range of other Japanese favourites)
Food looked amazing Janice, you presented it very well.

Thanks Rich, I appreciate the support

Oh wow I didn’t know that gender would influence taste buds! Yeah the sushi chef took time to explain everything which I really appreciated
YUMMMMM Janice you would be the best food buddy haha you should do food tours in Sydney
Haha one day maybe! What kinda food tours do you reckon?
You made everything look and taste good, amazing, thanks Janice 🌻

@@JaniceFung 👌🏻😁
Definitely will try this place when we head up to Sydney during the holidays!
Let me know what you think!
Stepping up the B-roll here. Nice work!

I went to sushi Oe yesterday and it's super awesome !!
Yeahhh id love to go to those places! I find omakase places so hard to book though :(
@@JaniceFung yes indeed, however all of my fds they complains about Kuon , food quality is bad and they do 2 round of omakase in one night
Omg looks good. I've been to omakase at sashimi shinsengumi in crows nest but it's really hard to get a booking
I can’t get a booking anymore.. I tried calling like 50 times and couldn’t get thru
Good job describing the dishes, not easy with fish especially. What's time span to devour all these delicate dishes ? At a reasonable pace to enjoy the meal I hope. True, another must try place.
Janice, How do I sign up to your newsletter?
Link should be in my description!
Watching this with envy from New York where all restaurants are shut with the lockdown.
As always an interesting and informative video . Nice vlog as always stay safe
thanks Michael! youtoo
It's looks as Fusion Japanese Menu. So interesting and enjoyed to see video.😋
Omg yummmy I love seafood
Damn I'm craving it now and it 2:45am in NYC
Janice, how could you skip the sea urchin? It’s absolutely on top of my list, followed by o-toro and then ikura
Haha I had a bad experience with it once and it’s made me cautious about it now..
Looks delicious. I tried sea urchin a few weeks ago. Although I liked the texture, I hated the taste lol
This makes me miss Japan for sushi..
Out of curiosity, how much was this omakase in Sydney?
$99 aud
@@JaniceFung very reasonable considering the quality
Im going, i only get dinner recommendations from Janice now
Yum I love sushi 🍣
☺️☺️
For some reason it is very hard to book a omakase in Sydney
Others are .. not this crappy one
Sea Urchin, Uni is good Janice. Go for it next time
😋Looks very delicious❗
GOOD😉👍️✨
which one did you and your friends agree was the best?
i really liked the oyster and also the mixed fish soup! that broth looked ordinary but was packed full of flavour
. As a foreigner in Japan I was asked (politely) to cover up my tattoos in some establishments and was refused entry into every hot spa unless my tattoos were covered. So the chef is either Koean or Yakuza.
This is Sydney, so the chef could have lived here long enough not to care about what happens in Japan... :)
@@filiplou74 Most Japanese restaurants in Australia are owned and run by Koreans was kind of my point. All good.
The chef here is Taiwanese
@@vhywong The food looks great and I will be checking out the restaurant for sure. Janice is a real influencer!!!
The chef is Taiwanese :)
U look so happy eating the sushis haha
Haha I was pretty happy
I think the Coogee Bay hotel serve a similar looking dessert 😝 💩 😝
Mr Macau. Hilarious, I was only talking about that particular incident on the weekend because I was having lunch in the beer garden. For a iconic hotspot it was very disappointing.
Looks amazing! Also, must be nice to live in Aus where you all don't need to wear masks and worry about covid so much as compared to here in the US!
It was pretty amazing :)
We still where masks on public transport etc, but yes we have handled it effectivley in NSW
This didn’t age well
i don't even like sushi but this looks good.
Did you know that bluefin tuna are endangered?
i love sushi
This video make me hungry at 11.24pm. So I will go to this restaurant on this Tuesday.
Hello Janice again
Hi!
Yummmmmmmmm
Hi Janice love the video. I have a question how are you funding your videos to go out and taste different foods? Do U get the meals for free? Or you currently working or does UA-cam pay you for your videos? Let me know I'm really curious :)
Actually cheap, Noboo is more expensive., and the servings look so small at the place, I could spend more at sushi train over an hour haha
good video
cheers Joseph!
Boss Pancake in Haymarket @janice
Ooooo do you like that place ??
@@JaniceFung its a decent pancake, according to my hk frds
Ah! Those dangerous drinks that don’t taste of alcohol at all!
Haha absolutely
seems this restaurant changed ownership
This place is new.. it’s the same guy.
@@jun8569 this place been a Japanese restaurant for years... just wondering if they changed hand recently
Kisuke opted not to renew their lease during covid so this is an entirely new owner/chef with sushi focus (kisuke had great sushi but also a great range of other Japanese favourites)
i wouldnt call it 18 courses - its more like 18 bites - the quality aint close to real omakase - sorry
You didn’t need to describe every bite since the commentary is quite redundant
not $99 anymore, I think its $130
The Normal one or the vip one
I hated hachioji 😂
First
helllllo!
@@JaniceFung Hi
