Another great video , as you will see my comment below I took a girl here for a first and last date , she didn’t get it . Haha glad you like it as she was mainland Chinese raised in Australia ha Ha I’m more Asian then her.....
So nice to run into you Janice!! I was the one who said hi at Darling Square haha. Thank you for all the awesome recommendations. Can't wait to go try Kuon Omakase!
Hi Janice. Great vlog, what an amazing menu to work through...you looked so happy. I think the desert for me please.. however all the food looked yummy.. $230 was not bad for such a unique experience Thanks for sharing Jonathan x ( London UK )
Hong Kong have more options and choices of Omaskase. If you can get a chance to try this in Hong Kong, this will be another fantastic dining experience.
I walk pass this place and I always thought it had closed down. Janice, can you review my favourite restaurant ( teriyaki boy) in Balmain? My favourite is the beef teriyaki and steamed mud crab dim sim
Great video! The good food looks really nice. Have you been to the other Kuon for sushi omakase? If so, how does this compare to this one that you went to?
Oh wow, good job getting a spot. Those IG story cancellation get filled within 5 mins 😅. Keen to try the OG one.. one day. That scallop looks delicate & heavenly.
such a brilliant menu to serve variety of small portion tempura so that customers can taste different kind.. they look delicious too!! however, the real question is, how many times did you friend told you that you're being too loud? 🤣🤣🤣
Wonder what this is like compared to the proper tempura omakase in Japan? I've went to one in Japan a few years back and it was so good, i rarely in tempura anywhere else anymore
Love the tempura Omakase you presented, but I looked at their website and menu and it looks like they have changed to an Sushi/sashimi Omakase with only one tempura course. Is this true? Is there another tempura Omakase restaurant that you recommend in Sydney? 8/3/2022
hey Candice, thanks for watching! they actually have two shops directly opposite each other - one is a tempura omakase (which is what I had) and the other is sushi/sashimi
@@JaniceFung thanks for the clarification, Janice. Looking forward to coming to Sydney end of December. Will be watching more of your restaurant recommendations.
That looked amazing, especially the scallops and the tooth-fish. You say that you are not a fan of eels. Don't know if you tried eels in Japan. Their marinated charcoal grilled eels are incredible. I was not a fan at all before until I tried the Japanese eels. Not cheap though!
Nope I haven’t! when we can finally travel again, Japan is one of the first places I’ll go to, and I’ll definitely take up your recommendation Nicolas!
all the food looks too pretty to eat...LOL i literally said that...then 10 second later u said it...haha 230$ per person?!?!? wtffff whoaaaaa that not a lot of food for a lot of money....holy moly...
there was nothing on that menu that i wouldnt eat, although im not the biggest fan of seafood in general. id be more at home in brazilian churrasco place with an endless supply of chicken hearts.
Lol $230 for deep fried tempura. Majority of the course are dipped in light batter, fried then served relying purely on freshness of the ingredients. I dont see anything special about it or the chef's skills in making them.
Yeah I thought the price is worth it for normal omakase, but this should be cheaper or at least have some drinks included. Pumpkin is like $1 per kilo, and he's tempura'd that?? Then a bit of mushroom, a green chilli pepper....smh... It's the same batter for all of them as well. The cream puff is tastier than most Japanese desserts which are kind of bland.
Which item on the menu was your favourite, or what's the best tempura you've had before? I think mine was definitely the dry aged toothfish

That was a spectacular video! 🙂 I really want to try the curry salt.

Ooooo ok! I’ll add to my list of places to check out!
The chef was so happy that he finessed all y’all to pay him 230 AUD per person🤣 I would have needed to go to McDonald’s afterwards.
Haha I was very full afterwards
But there’s actually a Maccas literally 20 steps away
Looks so good 😊
Mmmhmmmm
Great video! The good food looks really nice. Have you been to the other Kuon for sushi omakase? If so, how does this compare to this one that you went to?

however, the real question is, how many times did you friend told you that you're being too loud?
🤣🤣🤣
Just once 😅 and then I just upped my volume during the edit hahhaa

How long is the wait list ?! Im going to try it 😬
I am not sure.. I was never able to get a booking.. my friend managed it!

Hi Janice 🙋🏻♂️
Hi Max!

Hopefully everything goes back to normal soon..
Saturday upload and I’m HELLA LATE😭
I’m trying to get back to Saturday uploads as my channel banner would suggest 😅
I lost it at "Abalonely"
I don’t know why I find certain words so hard to say!

Got to agree - although some of the dishes are unusual enough
Lol and a cream puff at the end, seriously???
@@steeljade lol my thoughts exactly!!! A lot of asian bakery sell puffs for less than $3

You pay for the chef ,NOT THE FOOD EATEN.
Worth it?
Hello hello hello 侬好
Hello hello hello
$230? I rather save for Japan trip post COVID
omg...
😳
ImperadOR...
Never had befORe
No special produce. Over trendy price.
230 Aud is way too ex... all veggies & small portion
So over priced for the ingredients they use. Also they play you by "giving you the choices of flavors". I would never pay that money for rhat
The urchin doesn't look very fresh...
Gs, the worst ever Japanese restaurant, period.
Looked like fun, $230 for deep fried miniture food portions with salt. I guess the water was served in a mouthwash cup.
You sound like a fun bloke.
@@lithium sorry I meant mouthwash sized cup. Also no I'm not. =)
