Turned out beautifully in the end. Love working with alcohol inks. Never know what you'll get.
So true! It's always a surprise. Thank you so much for watching :)
I have a love /hate with alcohol inks, as in you never know what you'll get and when it's bad it's so frustrating, but when it works, it's so satisfying. Most of mine so far are UNsatisfying but I just restarted and this time I am really trying to more intentionally use these inks, instead of just moving it around til I like it.
Hi Tina, I pour acrylic paints but have also dabbled in alcohol inks and yupo paper...love watching this process! Came from the Masse Boys!
Hi Donna! Thank you so much for stopping by! Fluid art really is the best 🥰
Thank you so much for sharing your talent. Beautiful. Can't wait to see the next one.
Thank you so much for watching 💕
I kept thinking - how is she going to save this piece. It turned out beautifully!
I didn’t know if I’d be able to save it either 🙈 Thank you so much ☺️
I love your work.👍
Aw thank you so much 💕
So beautiful!
Thank you for your kindness ☺️
Hi
I heard you mention that your heat gun has a cool setting. How cool is the temperature of the heat gun and what make and model is it? Thank you.
Hi Laura! Thank you so much for watching! :) My understanding is that the cool down setting is based on the air temperature around you. My heat gun is Wagner Furno 500.
Hi Tina. You're the first person I've seen using a Wagner heat gun on your alcohol ink projects. Are you still using it or have you changed to something else? I'm currently using a Revlon curler dryer which is quite popular, but I'm wondering since the Wagner has a smaller diameter tip that it may be better for detailed work?
The main downfall I find with my heat gun is that it shuts off periodically (since it's the cool-down setting that I use). I'm used to it, so it's not a big deal, but I also use a Quo brand hair dryer in a lot of my newer pieces - which is also easier to handle. I don't find it too different as far as more or less details. The heat gun comes with alternative attachments. I haven't wanted to try them though, as I'm happy with it as is. Hope that helps...? Thank you so much for watching, and I appreciate your question. I hope my response helps ☺
@@TinaIrvine Great! Thank you much for the reply. I watched a video on the Wagner and it appears that the cool setting is for cooling the dryer after it has been used in the higher heat settings. The cool setting has an auto shutoff feature that turns off after the temperature drops and the gun has cooled. Pls make more videos of your alcohol ink art pieces. Thanks. :)
@@silvermyth2119 Yes, that's absolutely correct about the heat gun ☺I'm so glad you're enjoying my videos! I have more on the way! 🥰
Please let me know the brand of this blow dryer! Thank you!!
Hi Cynthia! The brand is Wagner. It's a heat gun with a cool-down setting. Thank you so much for watching :)
Thank you so much Tina!
Wait what is the canvas or paper u use
This piece is done on Yupo (by Legion Paper) 😊
It seems like my gold just sits there, too heavy to move like ink,,, What might I be doing wrong? Your art is gorgeous by the way!!
I have NO idea how you use a heat gun! I tried and boiled the ink to death!
Thank you so much ☺ A few ways that work for moving metallics are dropping isopropyl alcohol down first or immediately after you drop your gold, or adding your gold into another freshly dropped ink and then add ISO (or a blending solution). I work with a heat gun on the cool down setting (it automatically shuts off, so I get used to turning it back on each time)... the other tool that is somewhat similar is a hair dryer, like I used in this video: ua-cam.com/video/33Ulne4xcnM/v-deo.html .... Thank you for watching :)
@@TinaIrvine Thanks for all your help and great tips. I figured out a lot of the issue, I moved and all my inks and metallics have been sitting in my boxes but in a very hot and humid environ (Georgia) in my garage
I know it affected at least my metallics because I used a brand new one that came in the mail and it did move around a LOT better...plus I applied your tips.
@@zzzz3190 Ahhh, I'm so glad you have it figured out! I'm also glad to hear the tips may have helped 😅 Enjoy your new ink! ☺
