Hi, EVERYONE! This video is long overdue! So I apologise for such a belated post! But I have been head over heels with work! Hope you enjoy me covering this latest record by Static-X and the unlikely return of Wayne Static! Don't forget to drop a like on your way out and subscribe + ring the bell if you are new to my channel! P.S. I did not say much about Xer0 and his supposed identity (which many assume is Edsel Dope) as Static-X have not officially announced the real name of the masked singer. Have a good day, JD
Your video editing is always on point and very professional. In my honest opinion PR Vol 1 is far better than Pighammer and Cult Of Static. They really put a lot of work in this album, and maybe some people can argue that is a cashgrab but god damn is an amazing album
Thank you very much! Always trying to do the best I can with the limited amount of time I have. In regards to their music I totally agree and am happy we get to hear this as it turned out to be a very solid record!
I am still to this day not sure what to make of this. I honestly think it is a cash grab and in very poor taste to do this. He is gone and therefor Static X is dead. He was that band. Tribute reunion I guess I understand but constantly touring and stuff I don't like that it comes off wrong. Especially from people that weren't his friends anymore. Also I am pretty tired of people blaming his wife. She clearly loved him a lot. He didn't have to take things he didn't want to take. It was pretty clear they were head over heels for each other and all the people dog piling her most likely contributed to her own demise, and that is a shame.
I honestly only like their first album. 'get to the gone' was ok, but everything else from album 2 sounded too studio-produced, generic etc. I don't know what they were thinking, they should've stuck with that industrial/techno/anime sound from Wisconsin Death Trip.
The second album was written mostly by Wayne during the touring for Wisconsin death trip so I guess it may sound overproduced for that reason the following 2 albums had more melodic elements especially in terms of vocals and those I probably favour the most I think they were also influenced by NU metal quite a bit at that time. Cannibal was a bit boring to my liking but they went back to groove and a heavier sound... cult of static is probably their worst work in my opinion. I did enjoy Project Regeneration quite a bit though but to each their own. I think they were just moving with the times through out their career just as most bands do.
