    Thanks for the movie. I could disassemble it watching the movie. I disassembled it because the torch sometimes works, sometimes does not. Another torch has the same issue. Probably it is design fault.

    Was there anything you did to the switch? The head of mine is loose but the switch moves with it when i twist.

      I had the same problem, you have to unscrew the part at 0:35 and unscrew the led and heatsink. You will need a propane torch or a heat gun because there is threadlocker or glue in the threads. After that the second part will unscrew whitout twisting the switch.

      @@jeremyp7293 ah, thank you. It does make me wonder though, if theres thread locker or glue why is the head now loose, guess its given way after a couple of years

      Mine only had glue in the threads of the part at 0:34. The head at 2:22 I was able to unscrew by hand without heat, so no glue there.

    Can you replace the USB port on the rechargeable pmhrl71

      This one is not pmhrl71 but I checked and the construction of the aluminium parts look similar, so if you want to open it to replace the usb port you will need to use a propane torch or a heat gun to soften the glue they put on the threads. Look at 0:34 and warm up the area where you see it unscrew in the video. Do not get the aluminium parts too hot because all the rubber and plastic parts will be damaged, just hot to soften the glue and you will be able to unscrew this part by hand while still hot. The circuit board and all the internal parts should be easy to access after that to do the repair.

    Is it water resistant?

    • @jeremyp7293
      @jeremyp7293  2 роки тому

      Yes, there is an o ring or seal a where it is screwed together, an o ring at the lens and a piece of rubber over the switch. Not design to go under water. The build quality is good but it would be better if it was rechargeable.

      Yes. We put one back together so it still worked, but you need all the 'tricks' at hand to do it. Heap of shit, their is no need for all that crap just for a flashlight.
      Fail. No Grip Batterry screw in End Cap. Totally ill-designed.

      No, it can be disassembled. The thread is glued.
