I have a brand new Energizer flashlight with the strobe , high low beam but the strobe comes on by itself? This is a brand new flashlight and It's never been dropped before. I changed the batteries and put new ones in but the stroke still comes on sometimes by itself when no one touches it. It's the ENERGIZER TACTICAL PMHT61.
Thanks I followed your instructions set an alarm for flashlights that I was getting ready to throw away they're all working fantastic thank you so much👍👍😀
So glad I found this. Had a flashlight that stopped working for years. I kept it around because I liked that light and I knew it wasn't broken. Finally fixed the problem and got the light shining again after 4 1/2 years.
Thanks! I fixed my Nicron B70's issues by unscrewing both ends, cleaning the threads with alcohol, and re-screwing it! Now it doesnt flicker, and it actually charges through the side USB! Thanks again!
OMG thankyou so much for this, I thought my nitecore c6 had died nearly 2 years ago, pulled it apart once more and noticed a circular piece of plastic along the rim near the led housing which i figured might have been securing the (now very loose) plastic circuitboard cover near where the positive terminal meets the battery. I also cleaned along all the rims and rear housing along with the battery terminals as you suggested with isopropyl alcohol put it back together and BINGO it works.
Thank you sir! Excellent information sir 👍! Your tips helped me fix my old Energizer flashlight. The rear spring where the negative side rest on was corroded and needed a good cleaning up with tweezers and cuetip was able to reach in the cylinder body.
Hello. My tactical zoom flashlight gets super hot, and the light will often flicker from high to low beam when using same size rechargeable batteries. All batteries tested at 1.5 volts before use. Any idea why the flashlight would getting too hot and flickering?
4:32 This helped so much! Thank you! I didn't know how to push the spring down and wasn't sure what the problem exactly was since another piece was loose. But turning the spring with a wrench fixed my flashlight. I've been using this one for many years and I'm so glad I could fix it. Thanks!
Thanks, sir. This was my husband's. He passed away. I had changed batteries, but it still didn't light. Three minutes into this video and I had my answer-- I had put the battery compartment in backward. It works again!
thanks fixed it for me, kinda a fail but not a fail on my end lol, had a nice little pocket flashlight that costed me almost 20 bucks, havent even had it for a week yet and dropped it once and the light stayed on, tried the tightening spring trick and it broke, its on the led end but i found a trick to just center it on its battery itself and screw in the led
Thanks Bushcraft, my problem is getting some soapy water when cleaning the flashlight. All during this pandemic and now still washing down my flashlight either alcohol or handy wipes how many usual too much water and it gets in and ruins the switch.. I tried using compressed Air to Force it out but most still not working. They were these $3 cheap one double A battery jobs from "micro center" great little lites but most have gone bad due to water I'm sure and unsoldered connections.. you look in the tailpipe spring the coil is just pressured against the inner diameter of the back screw cap. And also the spring is just pressing on the lead right behind the LED board isnt solder to the back of it. So it's always losing electrical connection. And the other end of that spring makes contact with the AA battery spring-loaded pressing against the aide switch. so it's constantly losing electrial contact it helps when I solder it. But man very tight in there. I try its just a hit and miss
my most used solutions: 1) clean contacts (epecially twisties!) 2) tighten everything 3) change/recharge batteriesI also really like the pencil fix that can disable the stupid modes on those super cheap lights. (you make a graphite line on the capacitor and the mode timing changes depending on the lines thickness) In my experience when i do a spring bypass the contacts shouldnt be tin, it just gets really dirty very quick. I guess its some kind of oxidation.
Bought super cheap aluminum thread flashlight on ebay. Looked like the thread connection was the problem. Cleaning the threads with alcohol seemed to solve the problem so far.
thanks for the video! My Flashlight kept turning on and off on me and i cant screw off the top. So i tought the battery had some bad connection with the receiver. I turned the light part and it felt like the tube connected. Its fixed now thanks!
I was looking for a Q&A site for this: My Quarrow brand cigarette lighter plug in flashlight , there’s a lower plug section containing the battery, in unscrews to an upper half containing the light and the switch. The switch alternates off on white blue. My issue is that it sometimes doesn’t shut off until the battery discharges. I think it’s the switch but it doesn’t access for replacement. Otherwise, it has been an effective and useful light.
Ok, question. I have an Eagletac SX25l2 that was my duty light for quite a while. It took a fall on hard concrete while I was in a foot pursuit one day and hasn't worked since. I've pulled it all apart and see nothing loose or obviously broken. No burs on the tube or contact points. It still charges the battery. It has one of those "E" switches on the side. If that has gone bad, how can I check that? Is there anything else that comes to mind that I should check after taking a fall like that? Everything appears tight after taking it apart and putting it back together.
Pretty sure I have a busted e-switch or driver. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to take it out. No retaining ring, or holes that look like I could screw it out.
No it didn't help this time it's a little bit different flashlight than what you've got the back end has just a spring back there but the side has a place where I could charge it from a computer so it's got to be an LED I have checked every possible way but to no avail I may have to take it in give me a can you give me a place to go I'm in Taylor Michigan thank you
Halo..i am from malaysia..please help me..i got a situation here..i get this XHP110 flashlight yesterday..already remove the protective insulation also..after fully charged i tested it and it's work functioning well..after about 5 minutes i turn it off..and after that i try to ON it but fail...only the COB led is functioning..can you help me what the problems?? And how to fix it? Could be the driver circuit burn??
i have nebo edge 90 the button/clicker works turns on/off but doesn't glow in the dark anymore have any idea how i would fix it any feedback would be much appreciated
Yeah man. My acebeam k75 gave me a heart attach..... I just charged the batteries, and put them in right way on battery holder. No light! Jesus. It was just not threaded tight enough. Need more pressure on battery cage to contact end...
I received a flashlight from china. When i press the power button, it only flickers once. But not turning on. Could it be something inside not making good contact?
Okay flashlight whisper I'm looking for a new flashlight under $30 that zoomable and high lumens I know zoomable isn't really high-end flashlights but I actually like the zomaffect
Hi, If you give up the zoom effect, right now there is a sale on banggood for several good flashlights. I prefer my flashlights waterproof rather than having a zoom, though i used to like the zoom a lot too, i havent found a single light that would make a good reliable zoom mechanism.
They should make decent lights . Most of today's flashlights are junk. Never had to do maint on the older lights. Mag lights today are junk compared to 30 years ago buy one had it for a long time. I would like to say hanks for this vid it was informative.
Farpoint flashlights are plain JUNK.....town of 300 Norbys nearby,,,we ALL have same problem...goes on for 20 seconds and progressively worse from there...I own 20 rechargeable s soNO comparison...JUNK...and NO service at all...JUNK
I'm sure this would have been a great and informative video, but the way he pronounced "tube" was so annoying, and after the 4th or 5th time hearing "tooooob", I just couldn't take it anymore. Id rather roll around in barbed wire with Magic Johnson, then have to hear that one more time.
Nice! It's been two years and it finally works consistently again! Thank you!!
