I havent played a game as much as Nioh since Diablo fucking 2. It is one of my all time favorites and I hope that Ninja keeps building on its success. But I hate that people always argue if it is better or worse than DS. To me they are completely different experiences and I love both of them. But people are babys and are unable to like 2 things. Whatever.
In my opinion, the DLCs are good, but underwhelming. The reason I say that is because the DLC is one story arc being sold separate every few months.. We wait a few months for a _part_ of the story with two new main missions, two new bosses, a new weapon, and a new enemy per DLC. I rather Team Ninja hold off 8 months and release the complete set with tons of shit added; that way the DLC will feel like a mini-sequel than bonus chapters, so it feels like I got my money's worth much like Bloodborne Old Hunters.
You get the updates regardless of the Season pass. A piece of DLC includes a new area with new levels, a new difficulty and a new weapon type. Multiplayer, PVP and the UI changed are added through patches.
I'm not a game developer, so I can't say what should have been in the game to begin with beyond some things. Just because i have a long sword, a katana and a claymore, doesn't mean I should have added an Urumi to begin with.
I want to like Nioh too. But I don't. I actually think it was a big waste of my money. And I hated how the DLC is being handled. Also. Have to say Pat. Not everyone loves the Estus system. Many people prefer the vial system. There's room for both.
insofar as you should always respawn with a set number but you can get more during gameplay you mean? because otherwise vial system is god awful grindy bullshit. just straight up welp time to stop playing the video game and go sit in front of a door for half an hour so i can fill up on healing items that other games in the series would just give me so as not to impede my ability to smash my face into these areas and bosses an infinite number of times.

Honestly it feels closer to Ninja Gaiden with Diablo elements and a weird stamina bar instead of an iteration on Souls.
I guess Pat can say.... Perfect..
Drop your sword
You know what I mean?
So... Nioh Let's Play when?
they did a one off and said "never, go buy it" basically
132Awesomeness yeah I don't think it would be a good lp game considering the amount of inventory management.
Ngl I only have nioh because I don’t have dark souls or bloodborne, but shit is it way better than I originally thought
Nioh was pretty cool but man did it get repetitive and start to drag towards the end.
Did you start the 2nd playthrough? Imo its alot better.

Selling features that should have been put into the game to begin with doesn't constitute a good season pass.

They made the DLC *after* the game released. It would be bullshit if they hold on to the content and put it behind a paywall.
And that is not the case with Nioh

Sinjalda ...who exactly liked the vial system?
