Railroads in Illinois June, 2002 Featuring Milwaukee 261 Steam Excusions

In June, 2002 Excursions with the Milwaukee Road 261 took place on the BNSF Mendota Sub (Chicago to Galesburg) and on the Aurora Sub (Chicago to Rochelle). Scenes from Buda, Galva on the Mendota and near Shabbona, Illinois on the Aurora Sub. The movie starts out at Woodland Jct. while en route to Chillicothe that morning. Caught a few trains there on the Villa Grove Sub both CSX and UP action. Then the scenes of Milw 261 and a couple freights too. One with a C&NW leader on the UP Peoria Sub near Buda, Illinois. 5:29 Gotta love the C&NW gong bells. Seems to be noisier than a standard EMD steel bell. 261 is always great to see too! Everything about that final shot was killer

Awesome stuff, we chased the 261 to Galesburg trip and my Dad and I rode the trip to Rochelle. One day I'll get my footage uploaded that I filmed from those trips, great work as always!
