Simply cook them in their skins. No need really to struggle to peel them. Top and tail the banana, slice along the side like you did and drop them in boiling water. Done.
in Honduras we cook them like this, but just cut the chips in a different way. The banana chips accompany fried chicken, fish, pork chops, steak, pretty much anything.
You've tasted them the wrong way, im paacific islander, and it depends on the way you cook the green banana. if you cook it wrong, it tastes like shit. you hav2 add the proper flavours too.
@@bigbird4481No I am referring to green bananas. In my experience, you can go to the store where you can get green bananas, unripened yellow bananas, or plantain. 3 different things, 3 different tastes. You can fry green bananas but cannot unripened yellow bananas they are different food types, same family.

We cook them with the skin on...make it easier to peel off...
Cooking them with skin on leaves it with a slight taste that many people dont particularly enjoy

Green banana is green banana- unripened yellow banana is not the same
It’s exactly the same fruit. Yellow bananas are ripened green bananas.
