The most disturbing part of this video was for me, the fact that I never heard about this incident before Rammstein made a song about it. I am from Austria which is located right next to Hungary, and yet I never heard anything about this incident. It was only because of this song I researched deeper into the subject and found out that the song was about an incident that actually happened. The media nowadays has so much power about what we know and what we do not know. It is very frightening.

Its strange to me that Rammstein arent well known for their powerful ballads which they have done in abundance and are so good to listen to
This song is HUGE and epic. It was the favourite track of several of the band members on the LIFAD album, but it was bumped off the Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da album to just be a bonus song on the deluxe version as it didnt fit the albums theme of different kinds of love
But we as fans don't buy any album than the special edition, do we?! 😎
@@ForstAdjunkt absolutely. Anything with more songs n stuff is always a must. I even wanted the big fancy lewd deluxe edition of LIFAD, but i was a poor student at the time. Though itd be awkward explain if anyone came across it in my room 😅

My absolute favourite of the album. There was only one option to begin with... of course you buy the deluxe version, especially if there are extra songs available there.
That is absolute a masterpiece from Rammstein. One of their best songs in their history and I don't know any Rammsteinfan who doesn't like this song. This song could be also a very successful single if they roll out this as a single in my opinion and this gave them a chance to give the topic of song more popularity
Would be awesome if they took this song and made an official video like they did with Mein Herz Brennt awhile back.

It's so stunning. I adore this song. I think it's the best on LIFAD and one of my all time favorites.

Before I even watch this video I have to say that i am really glad that you react to this song. Donaukinder is such an underrated song and one of the only few songs that has a guitar solo.
One of the lesser known songs of Rammstein (they didn't even publish it on a regular album, only on a special edition), but a great song nonetheless. One of my favourites, actually.
This is Rammstein's only song about the environment. Till is a great nature lover who also likes to go fishing.
This song reminds me of the environmental scandal at DuPont in West Virginia, when toxic wastewater was released into the environment.
There, too, safety was sacrificed in the disposal of toxic waste in order to increase profits.

I saw Rammstein in concert last sunday, they was so amazing, I didn’t want it to end.
I was there on sunday at coventry it was fantastic an experience i'll never forget. I read an article in the paper it said that it was so loud a village 11 miles away could hear the bass and explosions. Brilliant.

I am seeing them in Cardiff tomorrow and I am soooo excited. My husband's work colleague went to see them on Sunday and she was near the speakers. She said when she left the concert she was vibrating for hours. LOL
Your going to love it. I was at the back got a great view of the stage and all the pyrotechnics when they let it loose still feel the heat lol.
This is such a... big... song for me. I love the solemnity of it, it is so chilling and so sad. 😭 I usually tear up whenever I hear this one. 🙁 It's quite high on the list of my favourite Rammstein songs, feel like it's pretty underrated. Maybe because it was only on the Deluxe version? Don't know... this track definitely deserves a lot more love. 🖤🖤🖤

This Environment Disaster i heard in my Childhood, but After that Never heard or saw anything of it. Good Thing is that Rammstein taged it with this Great Song so it wont get to be forgotten.

Most of the choirs and orchestra sounds in Rammstein are recorded by a real orchestra, then they make the sample for keyboards for the live shows!
not entirely true. chris uses a lot of samples built in synths like roland, maudio, korg etc.
If it's a choir, then it's just recorded in advance by a professional choir. Their early stuff (Herzeleid - Mutter) were very driven by the electronic elements in Rammstein. From the use of samples, to the use of all synth choirs. During Reise, Reise & Rosenrot (2004-05) they decided they wanted to go in a more mature & organic sound, so they started doing all of the choir parts with actual professional choirs. Reise, Reise is a much more mature album than Mutter. This is mentioned in the documentary "Anakonda Im Netz" from the Völkerball DVD". I believe the choirs for "Rammstein" (2019) & "Zeit" (2022) were both recorded in Minsk, Belarus if I recall correctly.
Great song from the LIFAD bonus CD, all of the tracks on it are essential. The wife and I are off to see them tomorrow for the fourth time since 2004. We can’t understand why they aren’t playing here in London UK, as they have always done before: we have to get an expensive train down to the capital of Wales, Cardiff, we have had to fork out for a £230 pound hotel room for tomorrow night, and the weather forecast is for rain ( as happens almost every day in Wales) but we are hoping for the best!

Still my favorite B-side song from Rammstein.
The reference to the black flags on villages and towns makes it more chilling for me. Knowing it is a warning from Plague times: Abandoned, Don't enter you find only death. A bloody cyanide spill into the one of the most important rivers in Europe and nothing about it in the news here in The Netherlands.
I find it so chilling too... and it was in the Dutch newspapers. I remember reading about it - so frightening.

Guys, Danube is spelled " DAN-yoob " . In German Donau and in Hungarian just Duna. I am mentioning Hungary cause in the capital Budapest it's pretty huge spliting the city into Buda + Pest. Its the 2nd longest river in Europe running through 10 countries and through 4 of their capitals !

You could list countless things here where disasters have happened, just out of greed or out of profit maximization
and company or let's say some very rich and powerful people, don't care what might or might not happen to the customers or to the people or to the population, the main thing is that the winner is right.

To raise awareness for wildlife you could react to "My heart and the ocean" from Heaven shall Burn. It's in cooperation with Sea Shepperd and it's really disturbing what some people do to marine life. Just an idea because you said that you're a sucker for enviromental metal music.

If you like environmental songs, there is one famous song from Germany 1985. Search for "Karl der Käfer", if there are english subtitles you might enjoy it, but it's not metal.
