I heared from people working with him that Till still listens always to the same CD in preparation for the concert so he knows from the songs how much time he has before he has to go on stage and that he is still nervous. No reason at all in my opineon. The crowd would probably be happy just to watch him breathe and the performance is every time top! When asked in an interview how it feels to sing infront of thousands he just said "not good". Hard to believe since he is o GOOD. Proof - he still walks off stage as soon as he can instead of enjoying the applause.
Till is a very shy person. He doesn't like the attention. The pyro is to get people's attention off him. He's such a sweetheart
As a performer for 30 years, I understand it fully. It's not about being nervous the whole time you're on stage, it's about getting ON the stage - often once you've started, it's all OK (for me anyway). Having a 'countdown' always helped me to control my nerves, at the same time nerves are a good thing (in my opinion) they really concentrate the mind. The first 30 seconds you're on stage are vital, you gotta grab 'em by the balls immediately otherwise you've got a longer battle on your hands. Lots of famous performers suffer stage nerves, Cher is another one well known for it.
2005 when concerts were still about fun, everybody moving/dancing and enjoying the experience... These days 80% is just standing there filming everything on their phones to post it on their social media that nobody cares about.
Völkerball is by far the greatest Live dvd ever produced and performed

I love this concert. The full concert is on YT, too, not only 4 songs. Nîmes is a town in the south of France, the "Arènes" are a Roman amphitheater, more than 2000 years old.
I was 16 when I went to this concert, I'm 34 today and I've never gotten tired of Rammstein! I was very lucky to experience this concert which is the best show I have ever seen! Having thousands of French people sing lyrics in German who would have thought it? And the place the Arènes de Nîmes is a theater that has survived from the Roman Empire to the present day, it was just Magnificent!
Till was not a pyrotechnician until he needed to for the band. When Richard first heard him sing it was while he was weaving baskets. Yes, Till was a basketweaver. He still weaves baskets for his mother.

There is no better place in this world than standing in the middle of the pack, body contact with beautiful girls, sweaty guys and singing and dancing to Rammstein. NO BETTER PLACE! Can't wait to have that again in Mai in Praque. This is my drug of choice.

What many Rammstein newbes get wrong. The dirt look is not! for pyro-protection or a fire proof gel. It's just coffee to look dirty like a cole miner. Edit: about Till's stage fright. You can see it clearly in the last song. He needs a motivation from Flake and never open his eyes when he sings.

I LOVE the Volkerball concert. They're all good, but there is something a bit more 'raw' about Volkerball.
I saw them on this tour in Stockholm as a 12 year old. It was easily the best show of all the 6Rammstein shows ive seen since, ill Never forget it.

If any of their concerts deserves a 4k remaster, it's this one. This show was incredible. You have to get tickets the next time they tour the US, you won't regret it.
Another smart ass comment: "Völkerball" translated literally is "Peoples Ball", so it makes more sense because the tour was in many countries!
The original Völkerball DVD release has 19 Tracks from the Nimes show. Additionally 4 Songs from a 2005 show in London.
I think the complete show releases of the Rammstein in Amerika DVD, and the Rammstein - Paris live might be on amazon prime, at least free to watch in Germany. The complete convert videos are all great shows. There also was an old live DVD from Berlin.

The material from which jeans are made was invented in Nimes, so it is "de Nimes" unfortunately the English speakers couldn't pronounce it, so it became "DENIM"! 😉

Damn that Ich will version is maybe the best live version of it it hit Hard so Heavy and Schneider druming sound sick aswell in this version and of course the crowd go crazy in that concert and what time change then evryone injoy their time live the moment and not have Phone in his hand filming and stand like zombies 🧟♂️ and yes Phone was exist then but not like the smartphone have nowadays but stiil i realy miss 2000s and the world before Social media and smartphones ruin evrything and before evryone become to sensitive offended about anything realy shame 😢 yes it have positive thing but have more negative effect on people than positive realy shame well that what it is it is call it Nostalgia and hit hard 😢😊🎉

This video is such a treat! The concert takes place in an ancient Roman amphiteater (2000 y.o.), it explains why there's a limited amount of pyro. There are strict rules when you perform in such a place because it's an historical monument. Somehow, when you're not distracted by the pyro effects, it emphasizes how organic, primal and visceral their music is.
Völkerball means also ball of nations. I think that's the better translation.
The documentary on the Völkerball DVD is called "Anakonda im Netz". Maybe you can find a way to react to it.

Last year on there tour, they replaced "pussy" with "Ohne dich", because of the sccandal about till.... Ohne dich I möcht' ich nicht sein = "Without you (you, as a single person) I don't want to be".... And Till replaced the very last "Ohne dich" with "Ohne euch" (= without you all ... so without the people, who like rammstein.

This live DVD is simply a German cultural asset!!!!!!! There are also the best live songs played that were NEVER played again afterwards, including "Morgenstern", "Stein um Stein" and "Rein Raus" 😍😍😍
