Everyone,
Thank you all so much for your prayers and support for my family! We are so grateful for all you have done to help us get a temporary home.
I appreciate you checking in on me and sticking around to see how my journey in woodturning became something totally unexpected and well... different. I hope to get my mini lathe here somehow and possibly get back to some turning or resin casting. That would be amazing!! BUT we have to focus on the basics for now. Lord willing, I will be turning before a year goes by. I am so very thankful and blessed for every bit of what we have and most importantly, my family is all together through it!
Y'all have kept us going. We thank you so much!
For now, I will post tidbits of things that have helped us in our situation. It will be random and hopefully informative.
God Bless,
Kim Tippin

Looking great, nice video keep it up Kim 👍 💯 thumbs-up
We had this type of washer dryer combo back in the early 1980s and the water would come from the kitchen faucet and the waste would drain into the kitchen sink. When we could afford a regular washer and dryer, we gave it to a mother and young son since they were spending money to go to a laundromat to wash clothes. This brought back a lot of memories. Thank you.
Hello. greetings from Indonesia
It is amazing how You have recovered your sanity and were able to figure out how to survive. What would yo do if you didn't have God to fall back on? I appreciate your periodic updates. We are concerned about your well being.
I would be heaping ashes on my head still! I couldn't go a second with out Him!
I love your ingenuity! Your ability to see shapes not only benefits your turning but your ability to create items to help you around the home. You are truly a blessing to those of us who are trying to create ‘new’ from what we already have.
Hey Kim. Haven't seen you in a while. Hope all is well. You can do this.
I'm just so glad that things are finally working out for you and your family. You've been through so much that now you all totally deserve some happiness.💜
Put a few small holes in a grocery bag if you want to hold pins in
Ah! I see. You made your own. Nice ide!
Thank you Kim for your updates! Keep em’ coming!
Nice to see you are hanging on Kim. My prayers are with you and your loved ones. God bless you all.
Kim....its great to see you with a smile back on your face. I hope everything is going so much better for you and your family and how cool is that washer/dryer and your totally correct as in when we have to struggle with something it makes us appreciate what luxuries we have all the more when we get them back again 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
Aw! It's so good to see your beautiful smile again. God bless you and your family.
Great update. My 5 and 7 year old boys watched with me. They were shocked that I was letting the ads run, so I got to explain the short version of your situation and let them know that because we are going through our own struggles we couldn't help with money, but we do have the time to let ad runs and how that does give you some funds to help. They are homeschooled too (pre-k and 1st) which seemed to give them another connection to you all. My 13 year old came in to check out your washer too, and he thought that was pretty cool, given the situation you are in. Thanks for blessing us, by sharing your story and your continued praise to God through all the tribulations. It's not always easy, but it makes it so much better. God Bless.
🙏🙏🙏 Thank you so much 💓
I love your titles. If you are on well water and it's a shallow one, be mindful of the water level. Also, you will save wear and tear on the machine if when yu put them on spin...you squeeze them out a little first.
Thanks Kim love to see a smile on your face. Judy and I are praying for you. God bless you
I have that shed...it is not designed to be in the open...wind will tear it apart. If it is in the open...putting 2 X 4 supports will be a blessing in disguise.
Hey Kim, I am glad things are so much better for you & the crew. Stay strong, Father has got this, yall just have to keep movin forward. Blessings Fred
Keep the videos coming! So many of us love seeing the progression you're doing to get back to the top! God Bless!
Yes! Keep them coming! I would live to know the progress you & family are doing!
Always enjoy your practicality, humility, and your love for our GOD.
Here is a suggestion -> when filling for your wash, remove the spray gun nozzle, and replace with a 'ball valve' made to close off a hose end - wide open, it gives full volume of water, but does not create the over abundance of suds like you were having to deal with. It is a 2 hand operation, but is much more efficient for me. Continue to Be Blessed;
& Be a Blessing.
I told my husband the other day we needed one of those. Great minds think alike 😉 Thank you ❤
Well that was a different type of turning. Clothes turning - LOL. Can you spray more water after the first spin before moving back to rinse tub? Keep plugging away. You’ll get there. Praise be. Thanks for sharing
I guess you could. There 8s a water intake at the spinner side and washer side. I just like to submerge the cloths when rinsing. I feel it gets them cleaner.
Thank you so much for watching🤗
When I got up this morning I was so excited to see you'd posted a video, and then I had to wait all day until I got home from work to watch. It's so good to see how you're making out. Thank you 🤗 I'm looking forward to your next post!
❤❤❤🙏🙏❤❤❤
Much better for the planet, hanging washing on the line. Don't you find it smells fresher too, no need for the fake scent of a dryer sheet? A Brit here, we tend to "peg the washing out" most days because if it's not raining it'll be windy enough to dry it so it was quite amusing watching you explain how to do it! Oh yes, and they're pegs over here, not pins. Separated by a common language, I'm from the southern part of the country though, there could be a dialect word or two for them with which I'm not famiar from "up north" though. I do appreciate that you guys over there pretty much always use driers for convenience. We tend to hang it on airers in a warm room if it does rain then it goes out if it stops or, once it's not damp, into the airing cupboard which might have an immersion tank in for hot water or in our case a small low powered radiator and thence put away.
Although we do keep a dryer that hardly ever gets used, it would be great to have the kind of heat you have to dry and air on the line for more than a week or two a year! 😂
So glad things are looking up for you all. 🙏
Can you hook it up to a faceplate and do some bowls?😂
When you get the regular machines online in the shed, the Barbie one could be useful for Marguritas! 😃
lol
Kim, you are a 21st century pioneer woman! One day your grown children will regale your grandchildren with their stories of their time as 21st century pioneers and how they learned to improvise, adapt and overcome adversity. May God bless you and your family in this season!
Bless you Kimmy and yours, the man upstairs is still by your side and always will be x
I remember washing my clothes then taking them outside to dry. Even though I had a dryer, spring and summer it was actually easier to hang them to dry. I don't have a good place to put a line at this house, so dryer it is. Your not complaining. Your showing how your doing the process. Yes, you have been blessed after some scholarships this year. Look at how far you've come! You are learning some things about yourself and your family as well. It'll be fine and make you stronger.
love your fighting spirit and faith in God. keep fighting - we love your work and you so we will wait for you to get back on your feet
Kim, I love your updates. It's so nice to see you doing better. I am still sending you prayers and waiting for your next video!
Ciao come stai?
Siamo benedetti! Prego che tu stia bene!

God is preparing you for your next step in the journey. I know it may be tough right now but there is joy in the journey.
Yes, yes there is. We are starting to see that there is so much joy to be had in our tribulations. We just have to keep our eyes on Him, not the storm.
I can remember helping my mom wash clothes on a scrub board, hanging the clothes on the line and it being so cold the clothes would freeze,We had a clothes pin bag made out of a flour sack those sacks were good for all kinds of uses.
Great to see you with this update. You look and sound much more upbeat. I bet that once the electric is run and you can use the full size washer you’ll be even more upbeat. You have and will have a great story to tell. Thanks for updating us so that we can pray specifically.
BTW, it was really good to have you for a while in the WWW meeting Wednesday evening.
Thank you so much 💓
Hopefully things will level out a bit more and I can be in more often 🙏 🤗
Normally I would consider watching someone doing their laundry boring beyond description. However listening to you talk, and seeing you smile again after all you've been through, I think I could sit and watch paint dry if you were telling about it. Take care and keep your spirits up. We love you and look forward to life returning to normal for your family some day.
In my younger days I used a twin tub washing machine, regularly. Ours was a Hoovermatic. It was also very economical on water. It does take time, but it works!
Kim, you look a lot less stressed. I'm happy for you and your family. God will keep on blessing you 🙏.
HEY SWEETIE I'M HAPPY TO SEE YOU AGAIN I KNOW THIS IS NOT YOUR USUAL VIDEO BUT IT'S STILL NICE TO SEE YOU DOING VIDEOS WELL TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND PEACE BE WITH YOU ALL I LOVE YOU ALL MY FRIENDS AND LIKE I SEAD I MISS ALL OF YOU LADIES AND GENTLEMEN KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK AND UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN YOU ALL HAVE A FABULOUS DAY AND WEEKEND❤🌹🍀🦅😄😂🇺🇸🙏✌👍🌈

I'm so happy things r heading n the right direction! 😉 🫂 🤗
Lovely to hear from you and see you more upbeat! Still praying for you all everyday. God bless 🌸
Waaay to go! Cheering you on!
It us better than putting a bunch of them in the Tub and being the adjatater (I did). Things are getting better and thats always a good thing 🤍
so wonderful to see you smile. I see things looking up more and more for you. you are a great blessing to many . Nana and papa praying for you.
Keep up the great work we're all rooting for you
Stay strong Girl! Looks like an awful lot of extra work. So how is the new house build coming? Around here the builders can do it in 100 days. How long will you have to endure?
Up to a year. Hopefully sooner. Permits are what is taking forever at this point.
Well at least you're not dragging them down to the stream and using a rock to beat the dirt out, glad to see everyone is doing well
I love how you stay positive and work with what you’ve got. Keep that pretty head held high, you’re doing good.
Sunburned, be careful. Glad I found your vid.
So glad to see things getting better for you and yours.
Glad to see you’re doing well!!👍
It's really good to see you doing well.
Great to see it all heading in the right direction now. Those extras you got with your camper will come in very handy going forward. Looks like a nice rural area you are going to build in.
Thank you!
We are building about 20 miles from here. It isn't as nice looking but it is in the woods. We are thankful regardless to the view. We will make a beautiful view :)
Kim , will the washer pump the water out or is it strictly gravity drain?
gravity drain. the washer must sit higher that whatever you plan to drain it into.
I'm also a Florida resident and cold to us is totally different than our friends to the north
yes. It is a humid cold when it is cold. To the bones.
Howdy, Florida tribe! 👋🤗
One word. Humble
That shed is big!
😇❤️🙏🏻
Any news on the new house being built?
Permits are taking forever. Hopefully within 6 weeks we will have at least a land clearing permit if not the building permit. We were told that last week. God has a way of teaching me patience... This is no exception.
Not the best of advice Kim, put an electrical item in the bath or shower.
Lovely to see things coming together for you and your family Kim. It's bound to take time but you'll get there. Take care all of you.
Kim thanks for the trip down memory lane. That’s how my mom use to do it . And she still to this day hangs her clothes on the line. You’re doing a wonderful job teaching your kids about stuff like that. Good to see you are well.
Thanks for the update. I can relate on the hand wringing of cloths. Tuff as all get out. Kool little machine. Peace and Much Love ✌
God bless you and your family. He has provided for your needs. 🙏🙏❤️
A big hello to you and the family from Alaska. Thank you for the update, and I pray that things continue to get better for all of you.
Thanks for giving us an update.
Kim, thanks for the update, we are all rooting for you. Do you have room for another shed that could house your turning equipment so that you could get back to turning and selling your work?
The problem is power. right nownI am running the washer off of a generator.
We do not have enough power ran to the camper for extras. We are at my in-laws. We are limited to what we can put out here. Basics is what we are focusing on right now.
Maybe if it works out in the future, we can get my mini lathe here. Lord willing.
So lovely to see you happy and a little more settled. I love line dried washing sadly here in UK we are heading into winter, but some days I still line dry stuff. It smells so nice
I agree!!
thank you ❤
