I grew up with love for these old cars from my uncles in Puerto Rico, but instead of pointing out the obvious about how the car culture there is so full of old, fast Toyotas along with other vehicles, let’s just give our Hawaiian peeps some props. It’s really hard, I’m sure for people in Hawaii to build anything fast due to logistics, costs, parts scarcity, and from what I hear, not the best roads to drive on and a lack of speedways, so seeing something unique like this build is awesome.
All take note, this is real street, real culture, such a powerful group of enthusiasts. I love the 808 and happy to see it bustling with this activity even amongst issues island wise. I dig dakine of love being shown.
I love the old JDM cars its like 30 years ago when everybody was loving the 60s & 70s American muscle cars, Now JDM cars from the 80’s & 90’s give the JDM Community are classics & nostalgia it’s a Beautiful thing 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I would love to buy it!! We had many from the late 1980,s to mid 1990,s and loved them. However here in Minnesota while living in an apartment we couldn’t keep any of them after they rotted out so bad they were unsafe. We are not body men, unfortunately. Awesome Builds!!!
Loving the OG corolla content I have 3 TE72s and I can say for a fact that the cylinder head on that 1st car is god damn unicorn made of unobtainium. 😂
We called those transmissions in the United States on the Northeast Coast to Puerto Rican Jericho because you can run 10 seconds all day long with a stock Celica transmission I was wondering do you guys cut the starter Mount and attach it to the bellhousing because where I'm from the called the Mickey Mouse bellhousing seize the stock starter on the Corolla transmission on the Celica transmission I didn't hear anyone talking about that
This car is awesome. I had a 1980 Corolla when I was 17-20, wish I could of had some thing like this back then. But, it rusted out, could see the road while driving, had to take it salvage yard. Damn Midwest salt. Just got back from Kauai, got to see some sweet cars while visiting.
10s.. power to weight is a wonderful thing.😂 Also why is larry so fascinated with clutch fans? I ran one on my built n boosted e36. Works way better than electric.
My mom's friend had one of these year corolla's in the same exact color was embedded in my brain as a little kid. 😎 her husband owned a 280zx and they both were my influence with jdm cars.
