      @davidcici11Evolution 6 років тому +2

      johanzo88 probably because he was in playoff contention and title contention his first six seasons, they couldn't attract any free agents because let's face it, it's Cleveland and LeBron has not established a winning brand or market to attract players to come play with him. Cleveland couldn't draft due LeBron dragging a whole bunch of nobodies to the semis, Eastern Conference finals, and that one year in the finals almost every single year, so they were unable to get quality players through the draft. So what LBJ did was leave to an attractable market, win a couple of championships, go back to Cleveland and now he has no problem attracting players.
      In retrospect, you had Jordan who got killed his first six years in the playoffs and couldn't win a single playoff series for some time, they eventually got a nice sidekick to play with him in the draft in Pippen and were able to get big named players through free agency. Its more business to the game then you guys realize. It was Jordan's time when all the great stacked teams of the 80's fell apart, the 90's had great individual talents but the teams were not as stacked. So Jordan kinda coasted through all 6 of his championships not saying a few weren't hard but this is the truth. This being said MJ is still the G.O.A.T your logic is just not factual.

    Shannon with all these alternative facts. Moses Malone averaged 5.3 ppg at 38. I'm not a Jordan stan, but the whole thing about the 90's...the talent pool was diluted. The three HOFers is a misnomer. The NBA added six teams as he ascended. You couldn't stack teams the way that it had been in the 80's.
    As for LeBron's great performance in Gm 6 in Boston in 2012...well, MJ never let a superior Bulls team get to that spot in the first place. That's the true greatness of the Bulls for me...they NEVER lost a series they were the better team in. Never. Not once. MJ never lost a series when he had home court. They talk about him losing to the Pistons in 89 and 90...turns out, those were the de facto NBA Finals. My Lakers got swept without Magic and Byron Scott in 89 and the Blazers lost in five games. MJ took them to six and seven and had great numbers even in defeat. LeBron losing to Orlando in 2009, Boston in 2010, and Dallas in 2011...not to mention getting eviscerated by the Spurs in 2014 closes the argument for me. You can have all the stats you want, but those are Wilt stats. When the chips have been down, LeBron has shrunk from the moment as much as he's risen to it.

      Joel Diaz It doesn't matter cause Lebron still choked in game 6 against Orlando and was outplayed by Dwight Howard. While Dwight had a monster game where he scored 40 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, Lebron only managed to score 25 on 40 percent shooting from the field, 25 percent from the three and 63% from the foul line! So even though he had a good series overall, he still failed to show up in the game where it most counted. And Orlando didn't even have their second best player in Jameer Nelson and Lebron still somehow lost lmao!

      Anoush Emadi so when Jordan shot 9-30 in game 3 vs the Celtics in 87 and game 3 in 86 or 8-18 with only 19 with 5 turnovers he choked?? Or what about game 6 vs the magic when he went 8-19 and when he missed the two clutch free throws in game 1 and got stripped in the last play??

    Shannon Sharpe can't stand that Michael Jordan crushes every team he went up against, no matter how physical they were. He also can't stand that even though the road was harder for Michael Jordan, he still perform at a higher level than LeBron ever could, night end and night out Jordan was always greater than his competition. That doesn't mean his competition wasn't great. Because they were great, and made the road that Michael Jordan traveled very hard. Despite these difficulties, he overcame them to succeed. Not only was he greater, he was the greatest we've ever seen do it, even in a meaningless game. He performed like no other before and after him. Making him the greatest of all times. The criteria set by this man standards must first be met equally, are better than him. Not some meaningless stats that overtime can be used as a false measuring standards to bolster a false narrative for LeBrons greatness. On the contrary that should be used against him. To prove all along he knew he couldn't match those scoring titles, that steals titles, all those accolades, those achievements, that the great Michael Jordan has, and all of those records and accomplishments. It's overwhelming his supporters. And those mvps both regular season, finals mvps, and all-star mvps as well. And those championships trophies and rings. It's overkill against LeBron ever being mentioned as the goat 🐐. When should be called lambs 🐑 milk. He leaves you feeling real sheepish after watching his games. LeBron also knows his fans will back him up with his poor performances in finals when this is the real reason you play for. A chance to show the world and your pierce you are the greatest and not underperform in almost every finals appearances thus far. No my friend you are no Michael Jordan and you are no goat 🐐 either.

      discordant dancers if Lebron was playing in the West, he would have been swept in the playoffs too. Only reason Lebron was even able to beat that 73-9 warriors was because the warriors was fatigued from winning 73 games and coming back 3-1 against Durant and Westbrook. Lebron had a cakewalk of a eastern conference throughout the whole damn decade. You think he's going to make it to the finals if everybody on Golden State stays healthy next year?

    • @ShutThePuck
      @ShutThePuck 6 років тому +4

      Bronsexual's like Shannon love to say this "Name a team that Jordan beat that was better than these Warriors"... Uhm, LeBron hasn't beat them, he's won 1 game against the Warriors in 2 Finals series once they got KD. See this is a straw man argument they want you to have, a hypothetical in which they award a win to LeBron before it even happens just so you can have the conversation. That 73-9 team was nowhere near the team the Warriors became once they added KD. Regular season wins don't dictate how good a team actually is - that's what the playoff's do.
      San Antonio was not a stacked team in 2013 & 2014. He counts Kawhi as a hall of famer when he wasn't even projected to be a hall of famer in 2014. He counts Manu & Tony Parker as if they weren't pure system players, trying to paint a picture that the Spurs were some kind of Goliath that LeBron overcame WITH WADE AND BOSH!
      Shannon and other Bronsexual's do this because in 2014 the Heat lost by a record margin and the last 2 Finals haven't even been competitive! So he has to paint these other teams as titans, so save face. But once you bring up 2011, they want to ignore it.

      Anyways Shannon's argument is stupid, not every player is going to make the finals every yr, especially when one has no help. You know why he and other LBJ stans bring that up? Bc they can't knock MJ's finals record lol so the best thing that they can come up with is "well why didn't he go there every yr." ok then now apply that to LBJ, he made it 8x in 14 yrs to MJ's 6 in 15 yrs...you see why they bring this up? Bc it makes LBJ look "better" somehow, as if finals appearances is the same as finals wins when it ain't. We got dudes out here praising finals appearances, y'all can keep those 2nd place ribbons lol

    Michael is the GREATEST basketball player ever, all things considered. However... LeBron James is the BEST/MOST TALENTED player to ever step foot on a basketball court. With the accomplishments, will, instinct, and clutch moments, that’s what makes Jordan the GREATEST. LeBron will shatter every statistic imaginable and he is in my opinion the best. Difference between Best and Greatest is a significant one. LeBron still has a chance at greatness though and I hope he surpasses Jordan. But he’s not the greatest YET.

Bill russell was dominant as well but he was a freak a nature that arrived before his time. Lebron should be compared more to magic more than michael. Michael and kobe displayed the heart and soul of champions. Fought thru injuries and deaths as well. Its been times where i felt lebron quit because of different situations even this year he quit on cleveland because the players around him wasnt playing well. I just believe we are celebrating lebron going to the finals but he is not winning. Only 3 out of 7 is jerry west territory and yall know what im talking about. It's like a myth that Jordan lost in 95 to Orlando, n don't say he was just coming back cuz he gets all the credit for dropping 55 on the "tough knicks". If he wins that season he still gets credit though? I think Jordan is the best but he's talked about like he's untouchable, just saying......

      MJ not only did more with less Games played... He did more with Less time played in HIS PRIME. Meaning more individual accomplishments as well as CHAMPIONSHIPS. Lebron has already played more games than MJ.. so he already Lost.
      All of MJ's stats currently include his way past prime years in WASHINGTON., Not like Lebron who didn't miss two years of his prime and didn't goto College, so he's got a total of 5 more years in NBA to pad stats. Ppl forget how GODLY MJ's his numbers were before the Washington Wizard years.

      Masco 24 he didnt get credit for dropping 55 is was just amazing that after his first 4 games of avg below 22ppg he dropped 55 on a good team.and he only played 18 games that damn season after a 2 year retirement what cant u understand about that??!how is that accounter for as a loss??u cant talj about him winning that season because its impossible for everyone no matter who u were to win

    Everybody knows if LeBron would of played those teams in the 80s Celtics 76ers and Pistons as well he wouldn't get out the first round either. The East was a beast in that time and those teams are not just only ones that were good. You had the Hawks and the Bucks as well. And who before Pippen got drafted by the bulls did Jordan have on his roster. At least LeBron had some decent players on his team. Everybody knows Michael Jordan is the greatest ever it's no debate. MJ never shrink in no playoff games period LeBron has tho. The best player ever should never shrink in any playoff game.

    Let me just say this... If LeBron wins against this year's GSW, barring injuries and LeBron showing up, as an MJ fan, I'll have to give to LeBron as the GOAT. But if not, and he goes 3-6 in the Finals, c'mon now, we gotta stop this non sense. You can't be GOAT and lose 6 times in the finals. smh

    • @lonzoball4673

      So because he goes into the finals as the clear underdog against the greatest team of all time and loses, that somehow rules him out of ever being considered the GOAT? Do you seriously think if you swapped MJ and Lebron, MJ would somehow beat GSW? Jordan fans are idiots lmao

    Jordan finished his career with the highest points per game average of all time, 30.12ppg, but finished higher in total steals than total points, #3 all time in steals. 10 scoring titles, including a league record seven consecutive, and three steals titles. He also led the league in free throws made and free throws attempted, total points, field goals made and field goals attempted multiple times. He is the only player in league history to score 50 against every team in his conference, 40 against every team in the league, and the only player to ever register 200 steals and 100 blocks in multiple regular seasons. His 893 career blocked shots are the most ever registered at the shooting guard position. Nine times he was selected to the all defensive first team out of 13 seasons of eligibility, and two of those years he was aged 40 or older. Nine times out of an 11 year prime he was the league's premiere shooting guard defender. Even playing at 40+ years of age he maintained having the highest player efficiency rating of all time, 27.91 for his career. He is still the only scoring leader to ever win defensive player of the year, the only defensive player of the year to win regular season mvp, and the only player to ever do it all in one season. He is the only player in league history to win regular season mvp, all star mvp and finals mvp in one season multiple times. His league record of seven consecutive triple doubles is still unbroken. He is the only player in league history to score better than 15 points in every playoff appearance and better than 20 in every finals appearance. 37 of the 42 playoff records he set in his career still stand today. His playoff points average of 33.4ppg is still all time high. In finals, he is the only player in league history to shoot better than 38% from three in multiple series and in one of those series he set the record for most points in a half with 35. He has the most steals registered in a finals series with 14 and it was only a five game series in which he also led all players including Magic Johnson in assists. He has the highest points per game average in league history for a finals series with an average of 41ppg in 1993. His record of 13 consecutive field goals made in a finals game is still unbroken. He is the only player in league history to lead a team in points, assists, steals and blocks in a finals series. His six finals mvps are the most in league history. Thats more than Kobe and Lebron combined, and more than LeBron and Kareem combined. For his career, Jordan shot 28-for-56 on game winning and go ahead field goals with under 10 seconds remaining in regulation and overtime for an all time high 50% on game deciding field goals. His five regular season mvp awards are 2nd most in league history but he has the highest total vote placings in league history, 527.45, while Kareem is second with 410.22. Jordan is still the only rookie in league history to lead his organisation in four statistical categories. 28.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 2.4 steals. He is the only player in league history to average 30 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assist and 2 steals in a playoff run, and he did it seven times. Jordan is the only player to lead a team to a championship with only one team mate averaging double figure points, and that team mate was Scottie Pippen who averaged 16ppg for his career. Of the 44 Bulls team mates that Jordan led to a championship, Pippen was one of just six all stars including Jordan, and Pippen was the only team mate Jordan had who was on both three peat rosters due to the team being dismantled in 1994. Between when Jordan won his first championship in 1991 and when he won his last championship in 1998, his team never lost more than two games in a row and set the still standing regular season record of a championship team with 72 regular season wins. Since 1998, the entire eastern conference has won the same amount of championships as Jordan won in an eight year stretch, as of 2018. 20 years and the entire conference has half as many championships as Jordan. None of Jordan's contemporaries were able to match him in championships and many hall of famers were unable to ever win one while Jordan was in the league. To name a few, Charles Barkley, David Robinson, Reggie Miller, Patrick Ewing, Gary Payton, Clyde Drexler, Karl Malone, John Stockton, Dominique Wilkins, Shaquille O'Neal, John Starks, Chris Mullin, Dikembe Mutombo, Alonzo Mourning, Tim Hardaway, Mitch Richmond and Jason Kidd. For his six championships, Jordan had to face 20 50+ win teams in the eastern conference playoffs during his 11 year tenure with the Bulls. Not far behind the league record 25 50+ win teams set by Kobe Bryant, and double the amount, 10, that LeBron has faced thus far in his 15 year career. LeBron has absolutely no business being in the GOAT conversation. LeBron has half as many championships, half as many finals mvps, over 150 less regular season mvp votes, has only ever led the league one time in one category back in 2007, has set less than 10% of the amount of playoff records that Jordan did, since scoring seven vs Indiana in 2014 he is less than 40% of the way to the record 1,041 consecutive games played registering double figure points set by Jordan, he was on Team USA when they became the first roster to not win gold since The Dream Team and LeBron is also the only league mvp in history to lose at an Olympic and a FIBA level by taking home bronze at the 2004 Olympics and bronze again at the 2004 World Championships, he is one of three players in league history to average more than four turnovers in multiple seasons, he is inside the top five all time list in turnovers committed, four times his direct small forward opponent has been named the finals mvp, he was the league's premiere small forward defender for just one third of his career, 5 first team selections out of 15 seasons of eligibility, he has had 14 all star team mates which accounts for 25% of all eastern starters in his career which is a league record for an mvp winner and has only managed to win 33% of the time in finals which is second worst in league history, he has as many finals appearances as Frank Ramsay and as many championships as Sam Cassell, since 2006 he's 8-for-51, 15.6% on game winning and go ahead field goals with under 10 seconds to go, this topic is absurd.

    IT'S OVER SHANNON. ITS OVER .
    LEBRON JAMES IS ONE OF THE BEST EVER . ONE OF THE GREATEST . WE CAN'T SAY
    HE'S NOT. BUT..... I've been telling people for the last 3 years that he's not better than Jordan or Kobe and I've been watching the NBA since 1987 . Is not his Fault though. Blame Colin. Nick wright. Shannon. Broussards. Etc.. those analysts are lebron Fan base and have tried so hard to put LEBRON in Jordan or Kobe's level. JORDAN WON 3 STRAIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPS WITH JUST 1 ALL-STAR ( Pippen) KOBE WON 2 WITH JUST 1 ALL-STAR ( Gasol) now.......take the SUPER TEAMS away from lebron James ..... what has he won in the NBA ? All his Greatness and legacies has been while playing with SUPER TEAMS ( 2 and sometimes 3 ALL-STARS ) this is the ONLY YEAR SINCE 2010 that he's played with just 1 ALL-STAR ( Kevin Love) and quit while fighting. 13 shots attempts . Only 2 in the 2bd half ? He threw the towel in the 3rd quarter.
    2007 - swept
    2011- biggest meltdown for a super star ever
    2014- Lost by a record margin in history
    2015 - Lost in 6
    2017 - Lost in 5
    2018- Swept . Bye bye
    KNOWN FOR BEING A QUITTER
    2009 CONFERENCE FINALS QUIT against Boston
    2011 NBA FINALS QUIT
    2018 NBA FINALS QUIT in game 4. Just 13 shots attempts. Only 2 in the 2nd half ? He threw the towel in the 3rd quarter. SMH

      It was a desperation shot, lucky shot on broken play, i believe off a lebron james miss, so yea that ball could have bounced a different way and that series is over. It is something that should be brought up just like Robert Horry hitting that shot over Sacremento. Those types of desperation plays ussually do not end with your side winning. lol so yea basically Chris Bosh and Ray Allen saved LBJ legacy but he still got destroyed by that same team the following year so doesnt really matter.

    House tells the truth and he's salty.. Wow.. Look LeBron need too many excuses to validate his place in history.. MJ played during the era of the Bigs and dominated as a guard.. Bron's playing in the small ball era and just happens to be the biggest guy on the court 90% of the time and still he's not always the most imposing or dominate player on the court.. Every Bron Bron fan stress that MJ never faced a team like the Warriors but they never address the fact that the Warriors or Bron Bron never met or beat a team like the Jordan Bulls.. In the words of Bron Bron aka 👑 James, Be Better Tomorrow guys...
