10 years later and I'm back on UA-cam trying to stay motivated to not give up on my hair. I want volume and length results. No more synthetic braids! ❤
It's 5 am, watched maybe 20 of these type of videos and this is the first one that hasn't made me feel like I'm a sinner for the way I've been treating my hair. It's more of a gentle nudge in the right direction. Thank you!
Awww, thank youu❤️❤️ most of us have been at that point where we weren’t taking the best care of our hair. Tbh, even now I still have times when I slack a bit. It’s all part of the journey. The important thing is to not give up.
I'd like to mention that hair growth can be increased, given that a person's hair isn't growing to its fullest potential. I've seen this myself with length checks. When I do daily scalp massages, eat a balanced diet, exercise 45 minutes a day, take all my Vitamin B's, and use Onion juice and rosemary oil, my hair growth rate doubles from 1 cm to 2.5 cm, and 3 cm on my right side per month. If I do none of that, I get only a cm per month. If you want your hair to grow, develop a routine, diet, and lifestyle that supports your fullest hair growth potential. Your hair will only grow faster if its nutritional needs weren't being fully met, and then they were. Overall, length retention is key. Retaining growth is vital to having long hair. Why grow all those inches to lose half of them over time?
Very refreshingly honest. No one product makes your hair grow. Most videos are telling you to buy these different to make your hair grow. Thank you for being honest
Amen, sis, real talk. I have been saying the same thing one size does not fit all trials, and errors do happen. sometimes, consistency and patience are the keys. I also believe in the power of prayer. For hair growth, thank you for your content.
I prayed for my hair, nothing else. Now I have nothing short of spontaneous growth. Just say ' my hair is growing, God loves my hair to grow, the Lord has blessed my hair. It is beautiful '
finger detangling is a game charger! I have 3 girls each with Mid-back to waist length hair... I occasionally run a comb through their hair but for the most part combs are for parting in my house... finger detangling has allowed me to gently care for their hair and has aided in me being able to grow their long thick 4c hair to the lengths that they are now
Another tip is to take multivitamins. Everyday for the majority of 2022, I drank a vitamin drink containing biotin and multiple other vitamins. My hair burst into bloom. Before it was frazzled from trichotillomania.

I agree moisturize, consistency, and don't over stress your hair. Simple styles most of the time and occassionally I feel we can do something elaborate...this seems to work for me right now.
Yes! I'm happy to find a video that emphasizes finger detangling - I use a comb every 3 months when I have to re-straighten (I straighten it to support more oil coating the strands it still grows very well,) but no longer ripping / breaking my hair daily is all I needed as I was moisturizing but not getting much results before. Thanks so much for this!

@Trinity M My face stays clear when I drink 8 cups a day otherwise my face starts breaking out so water is "connected" for me... skin is our biggest organ.
My hair was almost waist length in September of 2022. I got braids for the first time and they were too heavy and weren’t braided correctly. The gel that was used matted and knotted my hair with the braid hair. My hair is now at my bra strap and very thin. Never again. It’s going to take me at least 2 years to get my hair healthy again. I’ve trimmed it 3 times in the last 6 months. I was so upset at the condition of my hair. I felt angry and sad. But then I remembered that people are dealing with serious health issues and at least I can grow my hair back. But that beautician was bragging about how she could grow my hair to my tailbone. I don’t want hair that long but I do want my hair to be healthy. I’m now using Olaplex which is awesome. I honestly feel that beautician did me dirty on purpose. She needs to get a new profession.
I had the exact same issue with two different beauticians! 2-3 years apart. I grew my hair waist length twice and I told myself never again the first time. This time I mean it 😣
Honestly I'm really happy for you. I have watched so many of your videos and you have ever been consistent. That's something that is so underated. I can testify that consistency got my hair where it is now( in 9 months from collar bone to past armpit and the nape almost to brastrap 😊 and that's the longest it has ever been) thanks for every info shared. Cheers to more growth this year🥂

If you are having a probelm with the products sipping into the braids just mix the leave in and a lil bit of oil in the spray bottle with water then u can spray it on the braids( just try squeezing gently so the mixture can enter well into the braids) u can however still do this by spraying the water and applying the leave in/ moisturizer differently ( Ur choice) buh how many times u do this in a week depends on how long Ur hair is able to retain moisture(ie not get dry). You and your hair are absolutely gorgeous! Sorry if you've already answered this, but could you share how you achieved the stretched style in the yellow shirt?
Thank youu❤️ I straightened my hair with heat, did a few light twists after straightening then took out the twists the following day. I will do a tutorial video.
I have a question for you. If we should moisturise once a week, how about when the hair is in a protective style for longer than that, e.g. corn rows? How should you moisturise then?
Nakokonya thanks for the helpful information. Either your audio or voice is not loud enough I struggle to hear you clearly. Work on it in your subsequent videos. All the best.
Hi dear. Thank you for the video. When you were just starting your journey, what kind of hairstyles were you doing or did you just leave it out and keep it moisturized? What do you think is the best hairstyle for someone just starting the journey with hair that is your length when you started. Thanks again💐💛
When I started, my go to hairstyles were braids, twists and cornrows with my own hair. I used to keep my hair braided 90% of the time and I still do. My hair gets tangled pretty easily so I avoid leaving my hair out too often. The best hairstyles in my opinion are 1. Any style that’s not tightly braided 2. A style that allows me to easily moisturize my hair 3. Any style that will not result in too much tangling.
1. Finger detangle 95% of the time
2. Cut away tangled strands with scissors
3. Use heat less. Use heat protector and low heat when styling
4. Always moisturizing your hair : deep conditioning, use moisturizing cream every week or leave in conditioner.
5. Allow your hair to rest from frequent hair style changes
6. Keep your scalp clean.
7. Patience.
Don't know who needs this❤️

My hair is straight so this video has nothing to do with me lol but I must say, you're pretty like a doll.
Thank youu❤️❤️
You and your hair are absolutely gorgeous! Sorry if you've already answered this, but could you share how you achieved the stretched style in the yellow shirt?
Thank youu❤️ I straightened my hair with heat, did a few light twists after straightening then took out the twists the following day. I will do a tutorial video.
I cant wait to see 😍😍😍😍
Awesome 👍. Very helpful
I have a question for you. If we should moisturise once a week, how about when the hair is in a protective style for longer than that, e.g. corn rows? How should you moisturise then?
Hair mist mixed with oil has been working magically for me when I have protective styles in
Thank you for posting Beautiful Queen❤️☀️🙏
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching❤️
There is a product on Amazon that grows your hair fast, but I was having side effects.
Nakokonya thanks for the helpful information. Either your audio or voice is not loud enough I struggle to hear you clearly. Work on it in your subsequent videos. All the best.
You’re welcome. My voice is probably not loud enough and I’ll work on that. Thank you!
You are extremely gorgeous. Thought you were Ugandan from your name. And beautiful hair 😍
Thank youu❤️❤️ you’re actually the first person to ever say that my name sounds Ugandan😊
@@nakokonya250 Thank you so much for your response. It's really helpful, I appreciate. 💛💐
I feel like finger detangling is just going to take me yearssss to detangle my whole head 😭
Girl same
How do you moisturize your hair while it is styled?
I have the same hair texture as you.
