LONGER EYELASHES? Latisse, Lash Boost, Grande Lash
Вставка
- Опубліковано 29 вер 2024
- Latisse (bimatoprost) was the first FDA approved product to promote eyelash length, thickness, and darkness
Since then, OTC derivatives containing prostaglandin analogues have emerged, like Grande Lash, Neu Lash, Lash Boost, and Babe Lash
All of these can promote eyelash growth but be careful of side effects including:
Eyelid / Eye irritation
Darkened eye color
Darkening of the eyelids
The iris becomes darker due to increased melanin pigmentation. People with green eyes or hazel eyes are the highest risk. This reaction is less likely if you have completely blue eyes but those with specks of brown are at risk too!

Darkening eye color is the least of its problems…it can cause fat loss around the eye which already is the thinnest skin you have. It can make your eyes look sulken, aging your face even if you are young.
Says who?
It is so annoying that these-eyelashes- companies claim to be safe.
@@dolcevita713 says the first article that pops up on Google when you search it up yourself and then most consequent article after. Its not hard to do research on such a basic level.
Yes this happened to me!
@dolcevita713 do a bare minimum amount of research and you will see that this is quite common: sunken eyes, dark circles and fat loss around the orbital bone, which makes you appear much older.
I got the same results of long lashes with castor oil, no eye color darkening either. The only thing you need is patience
Plz tell me how to get longer eyelashes with less side effects
If onky there was such a thing... 😢
Worst of all, prostaglandins cause orbital eye fat loss. The skin around your eyes becomes sunken, you can see veins, and you look older. It happened to me at 24-within 6 months, my face looked 40. (It reversed after a year of coming off of the lash serum, but be warned)
Omg I’ve been using a lash serum lately, now I’m not going to use it ever again! 😳 I have ice blue eyes. I would be so pissed if it darkened my eyes. Glad I saw this video!
They can also cause wrinkles to prematurely occur on and around eyelids
Your lashes after crying too much= ✨✨
You are an awesome bundle of information. Thanks so much for doing this.
I also read that it can reduce the orbital fat surrounding the eyes, causing them to appear more sunken into the face. I'll pass.
Just use Vaseline if you want longer and thicker eyelashes
amongst all eyelash serum ive used its the Grande Lash that worked but its too pricey so I am trying socorolash and its on the way.
Please do a video on liquid chlorophyll
I already have long & thick eyelashes & I have to pluck (I do this gently) in order to avoid getting loose eyelashes in my eyes. Long lashes may look pretty, but they're a bit of a pain to maintain.
They also damage your vision
the twist better than any horror movie could pull
guys just use coconut oil or castor oil (you will get thick lomg lashes without any side effect)
X-lash serum really work🙌🏼🙏🏼
i love the part where he tells us how we can get darker eye lashes.

@I Am Imperfection Perfected. great advice! Do you know if castor oil works?
@@starbright8118 I’ve been using caster oil for over 6 months and I have personally seen a huge difference, I put it on every night and day on my brows and lashes. The hairs are so much thicker and longer, it keeps them so hydrated so never experience breakage anymore.
I’ve also started tinting my lashes so that I don’t have to wear mascara on a daily basis anymore, which has also improved the health of my lashes way more! I use the 1000hr lash and brow tint.
Now all I do is curl my lashes and apply castor oil and they look perfect! Also castor oil is way more affordable than eyelash serum, and lasts so much longer.

Castor oil is a much better alternative
@@meg_2087 yes castor oil is amazing but it's also so harmful for the eyes
@@wafae6552 I make sure it doesn't really go into my eyes would that work?
Don’t do it. I’ve used Latisse for 3 years and the volume in my orbital fat pads have decreased substantially, and it wasn’t until recently that I realized this was the cause. My eyes look sunken w/under eye bags, and I look older than I should
There a cream which helps fat loss. Or try Sunkos, for around the eyes, it’s a injectable.
What is the name of the cream?
Is it permament or did you get your orbital fat back ?
Thank you. 🥰
Did the serum work though, and which one? Also, when you stopped , did you maintain the length and the dark circles went away?😊
I’m going to need more than this short, man... don’t do me like this. 😭
I THOUGHT YOU CALLED HIM A SHORT MAN LMAOAOAOA
Exactly ..they grow your lashes but can mess with you..turning your eye color doesn't sound good.. at all
Use castor oil before bed, I’ve been using for two years. You’ll see results in 6 months tho 😂

I thought you called him a short man, and was like Ooohhhh whyyyy though 🤣
Latisse made my lashes so long but gave me DARK skin under my eyes. I stopped use and the length went back to normal bc they fall out naturally AND my under eye skin returned to normal
That’s so interesting
So not worth the trade off.
Yeah I noticed this with a UA-camr Named Kaylie Boyle her eyes are so so so dark around the lash line after two years using grande lash it’s concerning
@@angelicsailor1st I'm about to look her up lol

A possible side effect is periorbital fat loss around the eyes. To some they look like premature signs of aging
This happened to me and I finally made the connection after three years of use :(
I have read that eyelash serums can lead to periorbital fat loss around the eyes which gives users a sunken, aging appearance. Doctorly, can you please let us know if this is a concern?
It definitely happened to me :(
Did it change back, once you stopped using the eyelash serum?

Same- well, I got the purple broken capillary look. It looked like I was wearing purple pinkish eyeliner?! 🤷♀️ I watched a video that said it meant you were using too much and not keeping it on the lashes, but it’s kinda hard for it not to hit the eyelids at all?!
@@free2beemee honestly speaking, i was so heavy handed 😭 but you’re right! how are we supposed to use it without getting it on our eye area? such great results too, i was so sad to have to stop

@@lola.odetola Try applying vaseline around the eye area where you do not want the oils in lash serum to spread (just don't use vaseline if you are prone to millia or on top of any actives). Just be sure to not get vaseline into your eyes.
Can they make you go blind? I read that somewhere once 😬
No. Bimatoprost is an rx for glaucoma. Side effect was thicker, darker eyelashes so I was then marketed to general public as a lash growth serum. $$$
No. There are no scientific proof for that.
Can you make a longer video on this including all the potential side effects? I already have very dark brown eyes so not really worried about the hyperpigmentation part
potential for dry eye but just get some Restaine eye drops because the long lashes are amazing. for anyone else reading this with fair skin, you may get a purple line along the lash line but just use some concealor because the long lashes are amazing, lol.
They're not worth it. You will lose your intraorbital fat, making your eyes droopy and sunken in. By the way, the change is permanent, you will always have droopy, prematurely aged eyes, but the lashes will be temporary.
@@EastOrlandoFlorida It's a lot more than just "a purple line", honey.
just dont get it. after you stop using it youre going to get awful lash fallout and it may cause bloodshot eyes. use castor and vitamin e oil instead
The issue is not having a dark eye color, it : the fact that the ingredients are harsh and damaging enough to cause effects like eye pigment changes. That's scary. Hyperpigmentation on skin is also a negative effect, as that means that something is causing the melanocytes in skin to be unnaturally triggered.
Yeap!! I used latisse for around 21 year, the results were amazing within a couple of month. I stopped using because of the darkening around my eyes, even worse once I stoped using it all the eye lashes actually fell out and when they grew back I barely had any. 😔😔😔
So you never had any from the beginning or are you saying the serum made them fall out? Please clarify.
did your eye color return to normal after quitting?
@@dolcevita713 I had eyelashes, just wasn’t happy with the length and fullness, they are very thin and light.
@@isy__ yes, after a few years.
So basically you went back to your natural eyelashes because that's all that happens You got used to seeing yourself with big thick lashes You forgot what you look like without em
You should be telling people to avoid those containing prostaglandin altogether since it has been proven to demolish the fat pads in the orbital eye area. I don't think anyone would look great with those long, lush lashes on eyes that are hollow and sunken because the fat pads have been destroyed. There are lash serums that do not contain prostaglandin that work ... Revive, Dermelect and others.
That doesn't happen to everybody I've been on this whole 5 years never had a problem with that
@@iamimperfectionperfected4 Just wait.
Question: why isn’t there a “hair growth serum” that actually works for the hair your head yet?
there is, its minoxidil

God bless the day I ‘accidentally’ found you on UA-cam. I live by your reviews. Keep up the good work.
My eyes were blue, with a dark blue ring, the lash serum I used placed light brown (islands) in my blue sea color 😂 then I used Castor oil and got green places in the blue! So cool ❤
Hi doc could you talk about glutathione, vitamin c and IV infusions for the skin
I used latisse for about 5 years. The last year I used it I noticed I had tear stream looking pigmentation down both of my eyes. It was almost impossible to get rid of and a ton of discoloration around the top and bottom of my eye skin even though I wiped with a qtip made sure I never got it on my skin eventually it migrated there anyway looked like I had light brown/red tears stained on my face. I miss the longer lashes but man did it screw up my skin near the eyes
Please do a video on how to grow lashes more naturally! This video does address serums - however these can be pricey and have potential side affects like you say. Is there anything more affordable, I have heard of castor oil and Vaseline, but is there any more suggestions ❤️
A good lash serum
Human tears. No joke.
They are awesome! I use then on my eyelashes and eyebrows to make them full. I constantly get asked if I’m wearing false lashes.

Wow they help your eyebrows grow too?! That’s amazing! Can I ask what brand you use?
Can it be used on lower lashes
I use revitalash ❤️❤️❤️
@@sweetpea5253 I’m sure! I love it for my eyebrows too. Using brow products to hold them in place sometimes makes them thinner. I use it every night and it makes them so long I have to trim them.
I would not recommend grande lash because it has an ingredient that causes fat loss around the eye
I heard it also can decrease the fat in the orbital eye area. Which is bad if you have already sunken eyes. Maybe that’s what also causes to make eyes look darker too
I use the ordinary one does it work?

how to maintain health of lashes especially with naturally long n thick..if possible then pls try to make short .. everyone ignore this topic
Guys: use Aquaphor/Vaseline on the lashline and lashes. To me it's easier to apply than Castor oil. If you use castor oil it's also super effective- just buy an empty mascara tube. Key is to not just brush the ends of lashes but moisturize on the upper and lower lash line where they actually grow. Looks amazing and doesn't hurt your eyes. Obviously be careful since mineral or natural oils can sting. I've noticed MORE moisturised and plump skin since they are meant to hold moisture and plump skin. None of this fat loss bs. Also castor oil/Vaseline bottles tend to be large and cheap. My verdict: with Aquaphor my lashes have grown at least half an inch and I get more compliments!!
Vaseline or other petroleum oil or mineral oil products are found in cold creams and are recommended for anti-aging for eyes. Please don't buy this bs only to encounter weird fat loss and hyperpigmentation in your iris or around the eyes :///
I really wanted to try lash serums, but I also have green eyes and I don’t want to ruin the color😅😭💖
I've been using Liaison lash growth serum for 3 years now and my lashes have definitely grown longer for sure. The only downfall is that if you stop using it the lashes go back to normal length.
🤔..WOW.?
Not to mention depletion of fatty tissue overtime, resulting in hollow eye sockets. Nah, I’ll take my short lashes over that any day.
Says who?
I used RapidLash because it didn’t have the scary side effects. Didn’t see any results at first on my stubby lashes, but after 12 weeks my lashes got a full 50% longer/thicker. I think the moisturizing aspect helped, since it stopped my eyelashes from shedding as quickly as before. I used to constantly lose lashes! Now I just use the serum once or twice a week to maintain the length. I’m sure they could go longer with a prostaglandin serum, but I don’t want to risk the side effects!
miyadraws Where do you buy RapidLash? I would rather use one that is safe. Thank you.
I thought I read somewhere that rapid lash also has prostaglandin. Any updates on your use of it ?
