    BEEN RIDING MY VETERAN SHERMAN NOW FOR 14,000 MILES. I WILL PUT A NEW TUBE AND TIRE ANY DAY NOW. TODAY I PURCHASED A BRAND NEW SHERMAN MAX. IM NOT REALLY INTO SHOCK TYPE WHEELS. I NEVER HAD ONE SINGLE PROBLEM WITH MY VETERAN SHERMAN, I HOPE THE SAME FOR MY MAX.

    I found also that suspension cornering is just way safer if you hit a pothole cornering at 50-60kph on a suspensionles wheel you are.... if not done... very scared.

    I really hope you review the Begode Extreme, a mate has just got himself a Patton, and it seems perfect for the kinda rides we do, most of us have V12HT or V12s. But the Extreme could possibly lure me towards getting a Begode next summer.

    I have the Max and it did have some teething pains (battery failure), but since getting that straightened out, it's been great. And yes, that center position for the trolly handle is my favorite. I call the RS "the rammer" because of its trolley handle placement. I got a suspension wheel perhaps 6 months ago and did not warm up to it at first. But, once I started riding more off-road, I'll never go back to the Max for that. No suspension = knee killer when ridden off-road. Or it is for my particular knees.

    • @MikaelLevoniemi
      @MikaelLevoniemi Рік тому

      Rammer? But RS trolley handle can be used with just one finger, or without fingers even. Don't force it, ride it.

    Love the Max. Would've upgraded to "S," but am pushing Max's weight limit (320lbs, 145kg) and "S" is only rated to 265lbs. Hoping Leaperkim will step-it-up and produce a suspension version rated to 320lbs or more? And more range. Routinely ride 70mi/day on Max and would go further (much further) if battery allowed it. In fact, the 70mi (113km) limit is really cramping activities. Finally, US offers a $7k tax-credit for certified electric vehicles with over 7.2KWhr batteries. That's only double Sherman-Max's batteries (which would be perfect for my use-case). If Leaperkim produced such a wheel, they'd sell a million, due to US-gov't paying most of the cost.

      I don't know why Biden is so blinded by EV's. They are so much worse for the environment than PEV's. He should be including PEV's in the tax credits. He would see a huge shift towards electric. PEV's make tons more sense financially, environmentally, and they won't bring the grid down if everyone wants to use one right away. I've never been happier switching to PEV's over a 2nd vehicle. I don't think I'll ever be able to get rid of my gas car since I still use it for long distance travel. I guess I could use public transportation in some of those cases, but I have some relatives that live out in the sticks... maybe a long range EUC like the Veteran Sherman Max could make public transport work in that scenario though... *ponders seriously*

    The Sherman S is a dream. I’m buying another. The max is now like riding a Nikola, because of less weight. My Sherman S has become my daily driver and I find that I can carve just fine, but the unit is very much a sit rider at higher speeds. I have a Master pro and I think it’s much too heavy for any real fun.

    You are thoughtful, with vastly more experience on so many more wheels than me, so naturally I accord your remarks a lot of weighty credibility. So it shocks me when certain of your assessments are so out of line with my experience.
    Examples: V11 is boring/sedate, Patton is ultra fun and easy, Sherman S is … hard to brake and accelerate? All of these are 180° opposite my personal experience of those 3 wheels.
    It just goes to show how irreducibly, intimately personal are these human-machine interfaces. Raises philosophical questions like: when we both see the color red, how do we know that red doesn’t look to you as blue appears to me? Why does steering Sherman S feel precise to me and vague to you, with Patton vice versa?

  • @System_UA

    Please tell me, would it be harmful for the battery, instead of the standard 5A charger, to use another one at 8A?
    I’ve heard the opinion that due to fast charging, heating occurs, batteries degrade faster and the power reserve is lost, is that true?
    Or you don’t have to worry... According to the battery datasheet, it seems like you can give 9-13A, but on an ongoing basis I think there will be more degradation of the cans.

    Question for the readers here about what I should upgrade to. I'm a 183cm (6ft), 110Kg + gear rider. I only ride on roads, or around town. My current & only wheel is a KS18XL. I want a safe, reliable wheel that can go about 70Km/h & am hoping for more range. I live in a place where not every make & model is available, so the available options are: V13, V14 (preorder), Sherman Max & S22 Pro (usually not in stock). If I buy Inmotion, the shop is near me, which helps if there's an issue. If I get the Sherman Max or S22, I would need to have any issues fixed by a third party (good scooter shop nearby though). So any thoughts?

      It has a tire change and the Liv tire wasn’t reapplied. Top 4 screws became loose and battery was holding by one bolt which failed on a bump. Not my favourite way to build a wheel

      What is a Liv tire?

    • @JDAM-bi1sn
      @JDAM-bi1sn Рік тому +1

      Ive not heard of any cutouts low speed with EX30s, i own one my selfe and the only thing i can complain about is some of the disign dicisions and quality of foam and orig. Pads dont stick, mine came with a street tire as well. Adding bumper Kits make this wheel the way it should have come out and also fix the big gaps that can cause turbulance with the airflowing through on highspeeds. The new firmware updates on it contain some nice changes as well, even tho i belive there is much more possible in therms of software overall but that goes for every EUC

    • @kthejung
      @kthejung Рік тому

      @@JDAM-bi1sn They were isolated incidents and there’s no knowledge of what condition the wheels were in or if there was a mistake in how they were assembled. Also considering how many people own those wheels, it’s fairly reliable considering there are no widespread complaints. I’m currently on the fence about getting an ex30 myself.

      Odchylenie do przodu/tyłu. Zadaniem silnika elektrycznego jest napędzenie felgi z oponą w taki sposób, żeby się wyprostowała, więc jak pochylisz się (i koło) do przodu, to po prostu silnik będzie próbował Cię wyprostować rozpędzając koło. Hamowanie to sytuacja odwrotna, chociaż ciężko to nazwać hamowaniem ;)
