I have Sherman S riding videos so you can see good yourself. Yes, it can cruise in the 40s. It's just a lower top speed. Both perfectly safe if you pay attention to the beeps. I got 58 miles in this high speed range test
04:02 Have you had the severe tilt to the right or the left happen anymore? I am 99% certain this happened to me yesterday for the first time and I'm running the Grizzla kit. So all those holes are sealed. I was running maybe 35 mphish and was getting ready to cut across two lanes to make a left hand turn into a park. All the sudden the wheel aggressively tilted/leaned to the right hard. It felt like I was unable to stand the wheel back up. I thought it was going to crash me. I bent my right knee and stood real hard on the left pedal and it finally popped up straight and I had control over it again.
Have you tried soft and medium modes on the EX30. This might help with the shin bruising. It seems that most people prefer hard mode solely because that’s how the learned but, for Me, I believe that there’s a longer learning curve for switching modes than people are expecting so most give up at developing their “proprioception”: awareness of body in space in relationship with dynamic balance… or cat like reflexes. 😮. My amateur opinion is that everyone should be comfortable in all modes and come to understand why and when to switch between modes… but I believe that soft mode might be better for riders with lower ratios of weight to wheel weight. I wonder under which conditions EUC Girl would choose soft mode? 🤔 Myself, at 300#, like hard mode mostly but I do delve into medium mode on steeper hills to give me slightly longer reaction times to bumps and current spikes. One day, I hope to have a better understanding but for now, I’m still happy being a relative newbie. 😂
I ride everything in Medium or Hard mode. Three EX30 is in Medium mode to take advantage of the Acceleration Assist. There is too much movement in soft mode for me. On the V13, they limit your speed to 37mph indicated if you're in maximum pedal Softness because they feel it's dangerous to go at higher speeds than that.
Hey Dawn, I have been wondering about the law regarding my state in Kansas. I used my V13 in the street once. And I got told by the officer to stay on the sidewalk. But our sidewalks are garbage. Most states don’t have euc specific laws yet but just lump them together with bicycles or other pevs. Look up PEV laws and that might get you a little closer. It was broken for last year's AVS and it's only been recently that I have finally healed and my ankle is now at full strength again. Well, as full strength as it can be because that ankle also doesn't have tendons/ligaments holding it together, I tore all those off in my bad motorcycle crash many years ago. The Grizzla Fairing Kit does provide a lot more stability too. I did notice that immediately.
