I can’t wait for 2027 when I Graduate High school and this series finally ends. this series is gonna be one I always come back to. You’re doing fantastic work, keep it up.
The 2001 season is easily one of the most forgotten, save for the highlights of the Dale Earnhardt saga and also BECAUSE OF the gravity of Earmhardt's death and relevant events that followed. Glad to see the rest of the season get a spotlight, lots of great moments that went forgotten due to the tragedy... and the tragedy in September as well.
17:29 literally just over 20 years later, this is exactly what NASCAR did thinking it wasn’t going to be an issue… *slow claps for the higher ups at NASCAR*
Man this takes me back, this was the first race that I remember watching in its entirety back when I was young. I remember Jeff Gordon winning, and this was the race that made me a Jeff Gordon fan
Brock, this series is incredible. You do such a great job narrating these stories and giving a nice trip down memory lane as well as learning a new thing here and there. Keep up the great work sir, your time and effort into this is greatly appreciated!
If you put the name “Ken Burns” on this series, it wouldn’t look out of place. That’s the highest compliment I can think to give a documentarian. The music, the vocals, the imagery….all superbly well done. Brock, you’ve gone from producing quality racing content to having produced the best episodic racing documentary I’ve ever seen.
This series is by far one of the most informative and well made on youtube. I dare say it's tv broadcast quality. Job well done and you've just earned yourself another subscriber!👍
These and the Rise of the Field Fillers videos are great and well thought out also! You definitely learn stuff from watching these videos also and keep up the great work!
Amazing as always! like, seriously even though I knew who one the cup race I still loved the tension and buildup, the recap, and the hidden gems of the busch race I didn't know. Thank you
I am glad your doing night event with the 500 Days series. Say when are we gonna get the next field fillers episode that pretty good too and fascinating.
i finished the combined four part series and was sad i finished it all until i seen part 5 and 6. cant wait for it all to be combined and come back to the greatest documentary ever
i remember jeff gordon saying at some point that at first he didnt like the hans device and it did make him uncomfortable but he realised they can be customized and fitted to each person and then he started using it
Love love love the series an this one was very special to me being a die heart Jeff Gordon fan in a family of sr jr an petty fans taking crap every weekend when we got together an watched the races
One of the craziest things to me during the season following Seniors wreck, is how long Junior continued wearing the open face helmet at some tracks. And that he was allowed to, on top of that.
They're still there - I linked the playlist in the combined Parts 1-4 video: ua-cam.com/play/PLjZQnMo0uMCFxx5dHzE_T3C7_DZsB6Gna.html&si=ybZaw7rcQ2H2FQe7
Point of the matter is that just ONE driver death is far too many. Its really sad that it took the death of Dale Sr for them to move on something. Im sure before Dale passed that MANY drivers had concerns and opinions but were to scared of the backlash they would receive. It has been stated on multiple podcasts that the front office and the France family can be extremely spiteful if and when drivers have tried to speak out. Just go look at the stuff with the current next gen car. Drivers were talking about how dangerous this current car is and now you don't hear nothing anymore. I believe last year broke Kevin Harvick and that's why he made the sudden decision to bow out of nascar even tho Kevin and Rodney Childers are getting involved with late models. Their is too many examples of a problem being a presented then drivers begin voicing opinions then something happens and it just goes to radio silence until another issue is brought up. Seems like everyone has forgotten that Kurt Busch had to retire after a crash in the current car when he probably had 2 years left. Everyone in here knows that is exactly why Nascar does not want the drivers to organize into a union because nascar wouldnt be able to pull the bullshit they currently pull. Anyone remember the Tony Stewart Goodyear rants? Im sure he wasnt the only one who had that opinion but he was the only one brave enough at the time to tell them like it is. So if the drivers had a Union, the sponors of those drivers/teams would follow their lead and nascar could potentially lose alot of money/power. So you can see why any of the popular drivers that are retired who have alot of sway with opinion are kept very close to Nascar through broadcast deals etc. I doubt Dale Jr can say alot of his true opinions on his show unless its something minor. You just gotta remember Dirty Mo and all the shows on there is apart of MSNBC. So I doubt Dale/other hosts could just say whatever they want because I do feel like they hold back alot.

I'll be graduating college, you made me feel old...
I'll be 42.... Thanks for that ... 😂😭
My UA-cam account is 2 years older than you are. Oh my goodness, lol.
@@ad206 really puts time into perspective 🤣
@@sonnydog830 I graduated college when you were in diapers. You barely qualify as “young” 😂

It was my "rookie season" as a fan, and I still fondly regard the whole season.

I sure hope this Harvick kid does well. He could probably win a couple races someday, maybe race in the Cup Series for a decade or so if he's lucky.
Flash in the pan. He'll never make it...

Darlington last week.
North Wilkesboro is back and a new Brock Beard video the same week?
Pigs do fly.
Boogity Boogity Boogity y’all 🏁
Make that TWO new videos! Stay tuned tomorrow at the same time - 8pm ET - for the story of the 2001 Cracker Barrel 500 at Atlanta!
@@LASTCARonBROCK never tell me the odds! 😂 thanks Brock! Keep dropping the hammer!!!
"It does not take two or three drivers to get our attention." No Mike, it took 4 or 5
It took exactly 5. Adam Petty, Kenny Irwin Jr., Tony Roper, Dale Earnhardt, and Blaise Alexander.
Horrible quote

This is TV quality Brock. Thank you
Teresa going after the papers was the start of her getting the "Mama Bitch" nickname
I've read so many books on NASCAR as a kid and learned so much, but YOUR VIDEOS has taught me so much that no book could.

I hope you continue doing the entire season
I would love to see 1992 or 93 one day
Again, thank you Brock.
This has to be one of my favorite series on UA-cam. These have all been great!!!
Todd Bodine had an amazing "I am Him" moment at Vegas in the Busch race
I had no idea that Buckshot/Bodine had such a great start to the season.

Interesting that there’s conversations about how stiff the cars are then and now we’re coming back to it in this day and age.
Love it, dog, love the series, but Greg Cote is pronounced like Cody if you use any more of his quotes in the future

Yes!
So is that right? You could have raced barefoot, without underwear, at a NASCAR Cup Series race as late as last season?😄
