Ryan Blaney is the third NASCAR driver in Team Penske to win a championship after Brad Keselowski in 2012 and Joey Logano in 2018 and 2022
Finally got to watch the championship! I've liked Blaney & the 12 for a long time, and it was awesome to watch them take the championship home. NASCAR, a huge thanks to you for making it possible for folks without tv access or cable channels to still enjoy the races.

I can remember a race for the Championship a long time ago. This was before the new way of the championship was determined it was just on points. The last race was Miami and Bobby Labonte and Tony Stewart both drove for Joe Gibbs. Bobby and Tony were almost tied coming to the finish line. Bobby had the Championship on points but let Tony win the race by about a bumper length ahead. So Tony Stewart won the race and Bobby LaBonte won the Championship by coming in second.

Gragson may have ruined his career already, it's sad because he was my favorite Xfinity driver and I was excited to see him in the 42 but he got fired of the team
I got to meet William Byron and Erik Jones at Slinger Speedway in Slinger Wisconsin both are very nice drivers great people as well was so devastated to see William lose out on the championship but congrats to Ryan Blaney and team Penske on back to back championships
Yeah, I was pulling for Byron, really glad to see Ross take the win though if not Byron, Ryan is cool though.

IDK, If his cheating teammate didn't "DUMP" the #54 in Martinsville, and the #54, 11,and 12 were racing for the playoff together the race would've been A LOT different! Hence NO Championship ! ! BOO Your team BOO ! !

Didnt have the chance to watch much of the last 50 laps of the race due to the broadcast freezing, so im watching them now, been following Blaney since the Coke 600

He won the race, but the Championship standings were won by Blaney. This happens a lot in the final race in Nascar, the Champion doesn't always win the race, but they get enough points to win the overall championship!

Can someone tell me why they still use stage racing in the championship race? Stage points mean nothing, so stages are unimportant here.
Stage cautions still bunch the field back nose to tail, and eliminate any leads built up. That has a huge impact on the race. A driver 5 seconds behind can take the lead on pit road with a 1/10th faster pit stop
Matters to teams running for owners points, those stage points still matter for that
the rest of the field is still racing for points so stage points mean a lot to them, it's not just the championship 4 on track you know
not to say though that I wouldn't want to see stage racing gone altogether
