@@BurninGas8.1 so you just changed the parameters in the video? I have been trying to figure out how to remove the GPS limiter, but asking in the Hptuners forum is like yelling into a cave.
@@Saleen85111 @Burnin Gas... Wonder if the video im going to paste below might be helpfull. Tuning seadoos might end up not just as simple as raising the rpm limit ua-cam.com/video/KUV5FSwPfAA/v-deo.html
Good Info! I have the same exact same ski and have been tuning with HPT. It currently runs 77mph on the speedo. Just went to a rear intake and looking for 78-79mph next time out. The only mods are intake, resonator delete, and HPT.
@@BurninGas8.1 like you I’m to the point I need a wide band. The plan is to install one this winter. Please feel free to share any other tune findings. These are such new platforms there is very little info out there on how to tune them.
Pump gas is typically 14.1 stoich (e10). Anyone running 93 is running e10 and should be at 14.1. Folks running ethanol free could put in 14.7 and it will lean out their burn a bit. Waiting to see someone change it to 9 and toss in e85.
This tune basically just gets rid of speed limiter to actually make more power you have to play with fuel and timing mine does 77mph befor I did timing and fuel I did 72
Yeah the mistake in the video is that getting rid of the rev limiter is only part of it.. the factory tune is not calibrated for high rpm. You have to increase the spark advance ..without proper data logging and knock detection equipment this becomes a cat and mouse game of how much to do that for power increase. Verses causing knock and engine damage.
i read my seadoo ecu and tune file. rmp limit set to 8350 and remove speed limit, ad 2 degree on timing , stock prop, sometimes i get 8150 rmp ~ max speed was 126 kmh. on acceleration i doesnt feel any difference. tune file was cost 50e
@@BurninGas8.1we tried to do the tune and it didn't take it. He has a 230 and I have a 23 rxt. It didn't take on either one. We aren't coming anywhere near 8300 rpm. Is there anything else we could be missing to get the tune to take?
@@Enough_Tumbleweed without the fueling and timing done your rpm’s will not go over 8000 even setting limiter to 8300 this video was more of a tutorial on how to use the cables and software… if you want safe timing and fuelling map get a hold of Dave at ruthless racing and buy his tune .. he tuned my machine in end and taught me what to do but I can’t post that stuff on here otherwise there wouldn’t be any money in tuning lol
Nice vid. Good introduction to tuning seadoos with the hptuners.. Waiting on the results from your test ride now.. 👌
Hoping to get some test runs in today

Is there anywhere in the software that will allow you to bypass the dess key. I have a key post problem I would rather just tune out if it's possible.
it would be under system if it does im not sure if you can bypass key or not
I have the 2nd gen HP Tuner. Will it work with Theo BRP adapter? Thanks

Where are you getting the wideband
So would a 23 rxt be safe to run at 8300 without the filter upgrade?
Cant see why not but filter sounds much better
