I can understand why they made this - to lower the cost of entry for basic functions and to provide a more gradual upgrade path - but for the more "hard-core" people like me who want to use ECU tuning it doesn't change the value proposition. The cost of the tuning license is still my biggest hurdle to buying.
Thankfully you can buy tuning licenses discounted in the GreenHulk Store. You can even buy dealer packs of licenses in bundles of 3, or 5 licenses at even bigger discounts 👍
Your video is good, thank you for that. The Maptun box is already very limited, no ability to monitor while data logging is a problem. Limited tuning tables is another problem. Licence is very expensive. I use HPT for tuning GM products, I've not used HPT for BRP products. Decision time is coming for next season.
Keep in mind that you probably can’t monitor anything when using HP Tuners. With HP Tuners, you have to monitor through a lap top or tablet and that is not easily done on a PWC. There’s no way in hell I’d do a wide open throttle run with a laptop in my lap! With that said, if you plan to do your own custom tuning, HP Tuners is a very good option. HP Tuners has the best software out there to tune a stock ECU.

Can you use this and still use the factory depth finder? Will they piggyback off the one connector?
Will the Maptuner Nano work if there is a depth finder kit attached already to the diagnostic port already? I was told the SCOM unit wouldnt......2023 RXTX 300

So you can’t reset service intervals and service lights with this? Only clear check engine codes? Just bought a NANO and was told it could.
Does the nano add ski modes as well? Alomg with scom? Or do i have to add something like a tune to get ski modes?

No, you will have to connect to the ECU the same way you do with the MaptunerX when changing tunes.

It will not tune the 325 yet, but it will act as a SCOM for the 325 within 90 days.

I’m confused: if you need WiFi /laptop to use the maptuner x, how can you use it as an ecu monitoring gauge when riding on the water without laptop/wifi?
You need WiFi and a laptop to Sync the MaptunerX for access to the tuning library and select your desired tunes. The laptop and WiFi is not necessary to data log.
Is there any app or software renewal fee ?
No, the app is free to use.
So the nano can still remove the limiter to make your skin go faster?

Can nano hdmi version work as speed limit bypass?
No, only the Nano BRP can act as a SCOM. But, you can use the Nano HDMI to reflash the ECU to remove the speed limiter.

Hey Greg was wondering with the BRP nano will it only work as a SCOM while it’s plugged in or can you set it up on one ski and then use it to do another and another and they are all able to be “SCOM” tuned at the same time. @GreenHulkGarage
They will only work as a SCOM when plugged in.
