Donate your unused stickers to either a teacher/school or a thrift store. I buy half-used sheets of stickers from thrift stores. smile! Have you used food packaging? I cut out images from food packaging to use in my notebook and cut out the letters to spell words. I just made a haul of really nice stickers from several of our nearby Dollar Tree stores. I also like rubber stamps, making my own stencils from dies and doodling. Doodling is my craft therapy.
Thank you so much for watching!! As most crafters do, we have lots of stuff that can be donated, I have no doubt, and I do on occasion clean out my room and donate bags of stuff. In this video, I explain why I use clip art, it's not for lack of supplies or stickers it's because at the time, I wanted specific images to my thoughts or goings on that I couldn't find any other way. In other words, if I went to the dentist that day, it was easier and cheaper to just print out a clip art of a dentist to illustrate than to try to search for a sticker of a dentist, if that makes sense. I still love clip art, but don't use it that much anymore. If you've seen any of my other videos, you will see that I use just about everything but the kitchen sink in my books, LOL!! Love adding bits of everything from my day :) Be well, Elizabeth
@@NeverHopelessbyElizabethActually this is the first video I've watched of yours. I was searching for people who have altered composition notebooks. Yours is pretty close to what I've done with my positivity journal. Are you a member of Pinterest?
Thank you so much for watching!! I used to love using clip art as well. It's a great way to personalize your thoughts and actions :) Be well, Elizabeth
You made me feel much better now ! I want to start my journal but I can't draw . Although, I do like to draw and I find it very relaxing . I was thinking of making a Printable journal and will do just that !!!
Thank you so much for watching!! I'm glad you feel better now, and let me go further to say, you CAN draw :) Practice, practice, practice, you can do it. I'm glad you've been inspired, and wish you the best of luck with your journaling :) Be well, Elizabeth
Never Hopeless by Elizabeth I agree . I encourage my little girl to use positive language about the things she is learning... or have not yet mastered -will do the same :)
Thank you so much for watching Wanda!! In this video I am using an altered composition book. You can find the playlist of how I used to make my journals here: ua-cam.com/play/PLxtJnjhVUYRJHBnBPTf2Ozjroc660tXH2.html Now, I still use altered composition books but I have altered them even more to fulfill my needs as a daily journaler. You can find that playlist here: ua-cam.com/video/qZZjd_sQvwI/v-deo.html Hope that helps :) Any other questions...feel free to ask!! Be safe and be well, Elizabeth
Avery makes sticker sheets from name label type things to the whole sheet is one sticker, so if you want to put a bunch of stuff in one page and cut them out manually, you can make the most out of each sheet. I did that for bullet journaling for awhile, because I got tired of drawing out the grid for my habit planner each month.
Great Idea, never thought to use clip art but I only have a black & white printer! Your pages look amazing, I just love all the colour and the things you have added :)) TFS, Susan.
Thanks so much for watching!! Even though you have a b/w printer, sometimes you can find clip art that is just the outline, and then you can color it in yourself with pencils or markers. HTH! Be well, Elizabeth
Type in whatever it is and you NEED to type CLIP ART, for example: "hope clip art" then click on "images" at the top and a plethora of images will come up, then you click on the image you want, and copy and paste it to your word processor or into your photos and save it for when you want to print/use it. HTH!!
Aww, thank you for such a sweet comment!! But, I must say, your Fauxbo is looking the way you like it because of you :) Glad I could help!! Have a fabulous weekend yourself!! Be well, Elizabeth
Thank you so much for watching!! Glad you enjoyed the little tidbit of information :) I don't get out of the house often, so I need to be a bit creative :) Be well, Elizabeth
Thank you very much for sharing! I am new to the Fauxbonichi group (just started in July!) and I can't draw a lick. Love the idea of personalizing with clipart. Your journals are fantastic and so colorful!! I started mine in a comp notebook too, and was glad to see I was not the only person with that thought!! I wanted to make sure I will stick with it before using something more expensive. I am actually loving the comp notebook size!! Thanks again for sharing. I really like your videos!! Enjoy your vacay!!
Awww, thanks so much!! Love the comp books!! I attempted using a Midori Traveler's Notebook for a time and now I'm back in the comp book. Once you find something that meets your needs, just stick with it. One of the great things about the Fauxbonichi (this type of journaling) is that there are NO rules, do what works for you, do what you can, when you can. Clip art is my friend!! LOL!! Happy Journaling :) Hope to see you on the group. Be well, Elizabeth
I love how you incorporate clip art on your pages. Thank you for posting the link to the tutorial. Can't wait to either get my printer working or buy a newer one.
Thanks so much for watching!! I wouldn't know what to do without clip art!! It's fun and easy to do and I think it adds a lot to the pages. I don't care to go out and buy the latest, greatest, expensive embellishments, I find that with clip art, I can find exactly the right picture to illustrate what I'm writing/thinking/feeling and lots of times there is not a sticker for that. Glad you enjoyed. Be well, Elizabeth
I can draw , and I love to draw, but I like the contrast of clip art with my art. I couldn't draw all the images I want . Your idea of clip art has opened up a whole new way of personalizing my journals. Thanks. and I enjoy your videos..
Thanks so much for watching!! I do enjoy using clip art in my books. For some reason, I can always find just the right piece of clip art to illustrate how I'm feeling or what I'm thinking, plus it's quick and easy!! LOL!! Be well, Elizabeth

Thanks so much for watching and for your lovely comment!! Yes, these books are about the people who are writing them. Sometimes I use the prompts and such if I want or if I need a space filler, but these books are about my everyday life. I'm hoping one day my children will look back on these with their own gems and see how life was back when "grandma" lived. I so wish my mother and grandmother had written things down. Now that they are no longer with me, I can't ask them :( It's so important to write stuff down (and to date EVERYTHING), even if we think our lives are not worth writing about...life IS worth writing about, once it's written down, the ordinary becomes the extraordinary! This type of journaling is all about writing down everyday memories. Happy Journaling!! Be well, Elizabeth
I feel exactly the same way...it worries me that the schools are not teaching the children cursive writing anymore...what in the world are they going to do, when they come across things that we have written in cursive, if they can't read it!! I, too, wish my mom and grandma had kept diaries of what their lives consisted of! Of, course now, my kids look at me like I have lost my mind and they are 36 and 39 year old women!! Maybe, one day, they will appreciate all my efforts! I am so glad I found your channel!!
Awww, thank you so much hon!! I really, truly appreciate your comment!! Trust me, one day in the far future, they will, indeed appreciate your efforts!!

Thanks so much for watching!! Honestly, I pick up stencils when ever I happen to be out. Some places I have gotten them are, Michaels, Bealls Outlet and Tuesday Morning. HTH :) Also, you CAN draw. I used to say the same thing and then I went onto YT and watched tones of videos and practiced a lot. There's a channel called Fun2Draw where she draws Kawaii characters that are super cute (if you like that type of thing) and she gives easy step by step instructions. Also, I have a video on how I do a charcoal transfer in order to draw and practice faces; I suppose it would work out with anything you want to draw though, check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/bJdppsOJxTI/v-deo.html Be well, Elizabeth

Hey! I'm new with you, and I love your style!!! Your background page color looks like colored pencil. Am I right or wrong? I'm enjoying watching you!
Thank you so much for watching, glad to have you here!! When I used to do my journals in this fashion, the Fauxbonichi style, I did use colored pencils for the background. Thanks for watching!! Great question :) Really it's whatever you prefer. Many people use journal cards to add color, or they use pretty note paper, or even scrapbook paper. Just keep in mind that if you do use paper, it will bulk up your book, and I've seen some videos where the spines of the journals have split because of it. I use clip art to either paste in my journal or to look at and draw in my journal. :D
Thanks for watching!! Yay for clip art :)
Question, where can I find good stencils. I ask This because I cannot draw worth a darn! I can trace as long as I have something to use.
Cool Crafty Creations you can draw. It takes practice and time
I love you're journals if I haven't said it already.lol the cover with the blue trim what is it & how did you do that can you explain it or do a tutorial ?i think it's so cool looking
Thank you so much!! The cover is made from painted labels. It is not my idea, I got the inspiration from Cat Hand right here on UA-cam. Here is the link to her tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/pqYPfYHcqoo/v-deo.html Have fun!! Elizabeth
