These are draught breeds and this is how the supposed to look, it’s their breed trait and if you don’t see the ribs, then they are sick or bloated. And fatter the animal is, the more sluggish or unfit for work, they’ll be taken for meat. As you see they are working in open space, it gets scorching hot around noon. So both people and animals start work early in the morning and go until noon then they rest till early afternoon and then work till dusk. The work animals get to rest and graze in the afternoon. These animals have to be fed at least thrice a day. The nut cake you see in the oil presser is given to them in moderation twice a day. A pair of working cows like this will cost anyway from $600 to $1200 dollars. And the owners are not stupid to starve them to death. And we have free veterinary hospitals to treat them or vets do home visits, unlike in the states they won’t be shot. We know what we are doing. If you are too concerned about the animals send them feed 😜

It relies on the weight of the arm by the ground to help squeeze/grind more out of it. The wheel would not actually help. Hence why they added a concrete block towards the center of the video to add additional weight and provide more squeezing capability. The arm attached to the cattle is not actually pushing down on the cattle. Instead the cattle are pulling the arm. All of the weight is concentrated in the center where the grinding is happening. It relies on the weight of the arm by the ground to help squeeze/grind more out of it. The wheel would not actually help. Hence why they added a concrete block towards the center of the video to add additional weight and provide more squeezing capability. The arm attached to the cattle is not actually pushing down on the cattle. Instead the cattle are pulling the arm. All of the weight is concentrated in the center where the grinding is happening.
