- You can train your core with simple, intense workouts!
While you can train your core every day, 1-2x is fine to make sustainable long-term progress.
If you want more "defined" abs, keep in mind that your diet plays a big role! You'll need to be at a low enough body fat percentage to have visible abs, even if you are already monstrously strong!
I hope this can help you!

Leg raises are so underrated. Recently, I've been having low back issues. I consider my core to be relatively strong, but when I went to physio, my trainer made me do dead bugs the proper way (having your lower abs engaged) and I was toasted
What are dead bugs?
@@dysmissme7343
It's easier to watch a video than me to type but you're basically on your back with your arms up and knees at 90 with your lower leg. Then you raise your arm over head and extend opposite leg while keeping your core tight while at the same time breathing. You should UA-cam dead bug exercise. It'll probably make more sense
@@Vibestr omg. Those are SO hard. Lol

Man I’m so out of shape due to health Issues, but I always love your videos bro. Your always so positive and I like how your videos aren’t about “how to change my body to look better” it’s always about doing it for your health , other benefits and the body change is just an added bonus
Exactly! And they reduce my anxiety about exercising a ton. After finding his channel I actually managed to do a small 20-minute exercise session (using the most basic exercises and a small number of reps + lower back exercises from a rehabilitation course I've done). And almost not get a panic attack afterwards, which is a huge win, because for the last few years every time I tried to exercise, I would cry afterwards and if it was more of a cardio thing, I could easily get a panic attack during or right after that
I had health issues too. There’s no equipment here. Start small. 5 knee raises are better than none. In a week you will surprise yourself! And probably feel better too!
Who needs a P.E teacher when you got this guy
We just sit on the bleachers everyday and get yelled at if we move in my P.E. lol

I like how you show progressions from easy to difficult. For someone who needs "baby steps", thank you!
You got everything spot on besides the “sucking in your stomach to work your transversus”. It’s merely shifting pressure and mass upwards or downwards. If you suck it all in hard and your waist goes narrower (it will as you hold your breath anyway), all the stuff that was hanging out has gone somewhere. Upwards, pushing into your diaphragm, the contents of the middle of the tube haven’t disappeared they have moved: sucking in your breath or holding your breath whilst pulling your stomach in hard is NOT training muscles I repeat it’s shifting pressure and displacing mass.
Just discovered this guy. Like him immediately: straightforward, no ego, and really good advice!

I LOVE how much you emphasize working up to different exercises. I am so weak and standard exercises are often too difficult for me, so even a lot of "beginner routines" are beyond my capability and I feel defeated. No one ever talks about the easier steps to work into those standard moves. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!
I’m 61 yrs. ex Navy Medic. I appreciate your videos. I’m critical of the way many are downloading incorrect info on fitness. You do an exceptional job providing fitness and proper technique. I love this video. I thought it moved to fast specifically the section where you spoke on; lower leg lifts and the different variations. Would you please please do a slower paste video on the lower abs movements. I had two hernia operations. I also had a six pack at age 53. I understand technique + consistency: quality over quantity ie heavy weighted movements and decent diet bring results. Note took me 8 months of trying before I was able to eat properly. Thank you for videos.

Way to go, Shipmate!
You have changed my attitude toward exercise. I now do it all day as I move through my day. Push ups off the counter, squats with a chair behind me. If I have to lift something heavy, I do it three times, thus making next heavy lift easier. You taught me to switch it up so I do a different activity each week seeing how I can work it into my day. Drop a fork? Pick it up with a lunge (hold gut, strong back). I went from dangerously sedentary to gaining strength, mobility and confidence. 🙏🏽Thank you🙏🏽

Why do I trust this guy with my life and I don't even know him? 😂
The most valuable lesson I got from your videos, is that is better to have strength and resistance, than muscle.. progression and technique instead of overkill..
You just helped me realize a problem I've had my whole life. Through many physicals and doctors visits and being around trainers no one has told me i have a weak transversus abdominis. I learned it arises from the inguinal ligament, and i have had an inguinal hernia for over a year now. The direction my training must go is very clear to me now
I love this man so much... I finally feel like I can exercise without doing damage to myself.... usually in the gym or in youtobe videos the trainer just tells you to do the exercise without taking in consideration that you have 0 muscles... so if you try to do push ups and you don't have the necessary muscles you start to do them wrong and you hurt yourself.
He instead works you through the steps to arrive to the actual complete and this is exactly what I was searching for 🌞💗
The fact that he does everything so easily while talking

This mans advice is one of the reasons I’m still alive
This is a thousand times better then those 10 min workout shorts. He tells you the truth not some 10 min process which will never work.
I got terribly sick and have trouble with a lot of stuff, but even without feeling like I can do all of this, I did some raises and felt really good so thank you for the encouragement!!!
This guy is brilliant. Love the way he calmly explains whilst exercising.
Thank you Hampton. Your core strength is so awesome. Goals !
He knows what he’s talking about.
I’ve studied anatomy and physical health for 5 years and although he can offer some more specific exercises, the ones he offers are definitely the most beneficial for people looking to “tone their core”
As a person who has never worked out in her life and is quite fat, I thought that I wouldn't find any good tutorials. I don't like the over muscular people telling me what to do and that's it. They are already shredded and their exercises (even for beginners) were waaayy too difficult for me. It kinda discouraged me. You give tips on how to start (very easy beginning) and the way how you say it (get this as a goal, then proceed to the more difficult ones, etc). You give an amazing explanation and you're kind. You motivated me... And it fricking works!! I'm not far at all (not even 2 weeks), but I notice a difference! Even better is that I talked about starting to work out and he says "Oh, you should follow Hybrid Calisthenics. He's super kind and his tutorials are amazing". And I just replied that he was the one that I started following and that his tutorial actually pushed me to work out! We both laughed and talked about it all. He's ripped now, btw. I mean, he wasn't fat but his muscles weren't as defined as now. He's really more confident in himself and I think that you helped him a bit. Thanks!
