Great work MIKE , Been saving your videos all winner.👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸
You guys always do great work 👏. Nice camera shots 👌
Thank you 🙌
You've really improved your editing skills, intro etc. As a tradesperson, you and your guys experience makes it look easy, which it isn't 👍🇨🇦🇺🇸
Thank you so much!
You guys are a well oiled machine! Nice work, and nice MBW.
impressive work mike
Nice video. It shows the synchrony between all.
Thanks!
Awesome work mike all your guys top of the line concrete guys
Thank you
When I watch ur videos I find myself saying, “yup, Looks right, nothing out of the ordinary here” .. so that must mean we are doing something right lol, lots of similarities…you guys have a tight rhythm… I love watching ur videos bro, I really wanna start doing some recording this season but I realize how long our days can be and when my mornings start and it makes me appreciate how awesome you have gotten at editing! When do you find the time bro??!! I’m adding an electric screed, I wouldn’t be without a power screed ever again but I can see the tech has gotten to the point that it’s time to go electric , how does the weight compare to a Marshalltown? Well done as always Mike 👍
Какой шикарный раствор!
To @Mike Day Concrete and the Crue, I am learning a lot, THANK YOU !!! Liked#60!!!
Excellent
Thanks
Great video I’m a 2nd year apprentice in SOCAL man I thought rodding was easy , takes some practice ,
Front dumps are nice
Hey , mike ! Recently found your channel. Do you have videos going over insurance for starting a concrete company ? After years of working for different concrete companies I have decided to start my own but I am unsure about Insurance .
Dangel pump lol. I like that one
Watching you get out at the end a step ladder was placed in the concrete. Do you think something like a pool ladder that hangs on the top of the wall might be better?
That works too, ours is broken at the moment
What are the square sections cut out of the insulation below the concrete for?
Thanks for the great videos Mike!
Those are where load bearing columns will go, maybe not necessary but will be solid concrete from below the column tk the footer
is that considered a darby? what u float w at 1st
Yes it is!
Bobby 🖐✌
👍
8" walls ?
If I may respectfully ask, and forgive my ignorance…that seems like a really high slump. Is that from an add mixture for the pumper? What is the expected cured PSI?
We use water reducer in the mix and it's 3500 psi.
Good old marshmallow town tools
"Maggin it out" ain't work, it's an art form! Nice. The Old Retired Laborer
Thanks John
So 223m2 not bad.
Good thing the walls were not backfilled, cement truck close is a disaster.
Well, that’s answering my question I posted on the last video of yours I watched, you do use front dumps, lol . On this type of pour they don’t really help you, but on the slab on grade pours, with a good operator, they can save you and the crew a ton of work. I had my own crew for almost 20 years. When I had enough of being in business full time, I finished my working career driving for a local concrete company in a front dump. I still did side jobs when time allowed, but only when I could cherry pick a job. 😉 I got tired of the grind concrete puts on you physically, it beats up your body pretty badly. I contracted with a national home builder, with a crew of 3 in the winter, and 4 in the summertime, we would pour a minimum of 8 basements per week, they were usually 700-1000 sq ft average. Monday was a prep day, no pouring, usually got 3-4 basements prepared, then the rest of the week is was prep and pour, the garages were usually around 500 sq ft, and the porches were pretty small, but we prepared and poured them as well, made a lot of money, but paid the price physically. I take my hat off to you pouring those larger homes on the outside, people don’t realize how hot it is in the basement with no shade, or air movement. 👍
Thanks, we only have front dumps available at a few locations. Not all concrete companies have them.
@@MikeDayConcrete I know why, the cost of them as compared to a conventional, is a pretty significant difference, in Europe, they actually have front dumps with conveyors attached to them, do you have tele-belts in your area? It kinda looked like one in one of your videos, but I wasn’t sure. Just fyi, I used to carry a small hopper, with a rubber drop hose in my front for when contractors were doing ballards, it was like the hopper they use at the end of a regular conveyor. Had two chains that attached it to the truck shute. Made the job easier and neater.
Why would anybody still screed by hand? The advantages of the electric screed are huge: vibration for a better surface, normal eye position for better control and alignment of the screed, single person operation and less back-breaking work.
It's weighty on smaller jobs... a hand darby is reasonably injury-free, musclebuilding exercise as well, and is welcome on smaller jobs which may be more sedentary work otherwise.
I need the exercise is what I tell my guys.
