- Let’s face it, the Nissan Patrol Y62 is a cracker of a platform. Once you test drive it you generally just have to decide what colour you’ll be getting. But there is one other consideration, is the extra $$$ worth it to upgrade to a TiL? In the S5 the Ti is already very well equipped with radar cruise control and safety lane departure features, but it looses the sunroof. There’s a heap of other small improvements on the TiL that may make you dig a little bit deeper into the pockets also. For full detail, check out the vid
I just ordered a Ti-L over a Ti and my reasoning was that if I ordered a Ti, somewhere down the track in years to come I would’ve wished I spent the extra money for the Ti-L. Where as with the Ti-L I would never have wished that I didn’t spend the extra money.

I had a Series 4 Ti, it's on it's way to Perth, got real good money for it in the scheme of things, Series 5 TiL coming in february in Black
The only thing I wanted from the ti-l over the ti I bought was those heated and cooled seats. Maybe the rear view mirror the rest doesn't worry me.
Nissan Titian :has cooling/heating, Fender stereo. Armada in US was one of best value in market, btw #1 .
I’m looking at the TI for my family can’t think of spending that extra money on some of those added features even tho some are great but rather put that money in upgrading to the Tesla style screen and and maybe upgrading to the full digital dash. But great video

U talked about dash upgrades and had a little pic of tesla with rap. would love to see more of these system options and raps for the dash.
We upgraded our Toyota prado to a TiL & will arrive in the next couple of weeks. the entertainment system is dated but it isn’t really a deal breaker with the 30k that we could save, we can upgrade the entertainment system and could dress up the vehicle nicely😊

i know some guys who upgraded their interior lights to LED its super bright and annoying i personally enjoy the mood lighting from the lights in this car
Nice car , my 2014 Territory had all that stuff apart from Radar and AirCon seats , justsaying , think i would go for the TI .
I’m surprised about the difference in specs between here in UAE and Australia we’ve had all these new specs you’re talking about have been in the y62 since gen 1 and the latest gen like this one in UAE has a totaly different center console with 2 screens, new diamond stitching leather seats for the highest spec even different rims...I still own a fully loaded 2012 y62 and i am happy with it and I can upgrade the exterior to match the new gen Ti-L for only 6.5k aus
very surprised at how Nissan markets the patrol here in the UAE its better and more expensive than the QX80 and in America its a luxurious 8 seater called the armada that looks nice this year and in Australia its just a patrol with no specs
Another informative video thanks again! Have you thought of training the Nissan salesmen cause they couldn't answer me when I asked what the differences were. What is the fuel economy like towing a van and without? Im a day or two away from signing up.
Pretty much add 10LPH when towing a van big van. It does cost you in fuel but comfort and ease of towing makes it worth it
Can't wait to get our TI-L. Boat is due to dock on the 30th Sept. We tossed up between the TI and TI-L. We decided as we'll be keeping it for at lest 10 years or more that we deserved those extra luxuries.

We ordered it 1st August. Mid to late 80's Victoria. I can't disclose exact pricing as we had a broker involved and part of the contract is we can't disclose pricing.

@@listentothis1292 initially it was ABN and big4 discount but we discovered our ABN was cancelled but they honoured the pricing. The dealers were playing hard ball at negotiating and wouldn't budge an inch. They didn't want include any accessories and we are cash buyers. We were offered a Ti for $67k (different dealer) but wanted the Ti-L. I think we got lucky in the wait time as they had one on the production line and they changed the colour for our order.

You could swap the seat and be legal just needs a mod plate.

After the 62 being my dream car for years, we’ve put a deposit down for a TiL now! Will be a huge upgrade from the NP300. But it’s true there isn’t the money left for all the upgrades I’d like. The missus was adamant it had to be the TiL as there was some things she wouldn’t go without

No Apple Car Play or Android Auto same with the Sahara. Starting to look very dated too. Re-Sale value of the Nissan is better than I thought which is good but the Diesel advantage is still there for the 200 Series. There are people queuing up to buy the last of the V8 Diesel 200 Series so the re-sale value is king. Horses for courses and the Nissan is definitely one to consider.

I have a Y62 2013 Gulf specs. The Y62 is meant to be a 7 speed but how can you tell which gear you're in? The manual select only shows up to the 5th gear? Or do I have a problem with mine?

Ti does not has steering wheel reach adjustment I think? At least I couldn't do it when I test drove the S5🤦

Hi , i have a 2013 Ti with sunroof etc but didn’t think i had heated and cooled seats until yesterday, owned the car 6 weeks and found the heated seat switch on the side of the seats as opposed to the centre console

Just ordered the TI-L for one reason only.... wife wanted it 😂 comes in about January ish so that means at least February, payed $96,500 with tow bar, mats, bonnet protector and the things over the windows is that a decent price?

So the deal is - I test drive then tell you the colour I bought. Ti in Moonstone. Now a question- the go-to tyre (as you say) with no lift is 295/70/18. My question is will they fit on standard 8" rim?
Yes, just. But you should probably consider a rim with a wider offset as the tyre will be very close to the UCA when deflated for 4WDing

@@stevecope4149 A 285/65 will match the 265/70 almost perfectly for side wall height and gives a few more options. Why Nissan chose a tyre size that is not easily replicated is probably similar reason to why they didn't upgrade the interior inline with other markets.
Have a Til and wouldn’t by anything less and if you compare to a Sahara the TIL is 30thou cheaper and a more modern car.

@@DASHOffRoad so a 24mm k frame spacer with 25mm lift coil and i should be good with the cv angle from what i understood right?
These are big cars, a 2” lift really isn’t a big deal in regards to cv angle, I wouldn’t be too concerned

If you can’t afford a Patrol then no, we won’t see you in a Land Cruiser since they cost 30k more.
Personally no not for me, top specs have too many additional flashing lights, beeps and buzzes for me.
Depends how much they would give me for my D40,its 2013 and only 80k.so still heeps left in it,lol.but I am hearing ya Dave ,come on Nissan.!!.rather spend 12k on the fruit ,not have to worry about 15k bill every time you nail Skippy.

I got the TI-L, its only money, can earn some more...
You can play 3 different movies at once and or you can play 2 different movies in the rear and listen to the radio all with standard gear. I showed the dealer as they didn't know this either.

@@naomi7895 no it doesn't. You just use the remote and select which screen plays which input.
If you get a HDMI to USB C cable you can also play from your android and watch things like UA-cam!

Awesome car in so many ways. But come on Nissan? no Apple CarPlay, ugly side fender vents, dated interior, Sad side and rear styling. Not much to change to be a serious challenge to Landcruiser.
