Just got our new Y62, and have to get rid of those back seats lol especially with the slope on the flooring when you fold the seats down. Can't believe they thought this a good idea.!!! love the look of your product and I think I've watched it enough to tell hubby what he needs to do lol Might just have to do it myself !!!
How ironic is this….. the Ministry of Finance just asked me what I want for my birthday next month knowing I need something for the 62, and I said a Dash false floor, ordered it about 2 hours ago and then this video comes out..🤣🤣 hopefully get it next month. Great install video Dave 👍.
Absolutely top quality gear. Did the road trip from melbourne to see dave and his team to sort my new y62 out with upgrades and jeez so happy we put this in. Looks adsolute factory thanx for all your help and quality workmanship on all gear installed. Cheers Mate👍🍻
Great product. The only improvement I would do (if you haven,t already) is a lightweight aluminium or steel frame with mesh to stop cargo moving forward or sideways to stop rubbing on the second row seats or side panels. Make that and I am on your doorstep tomorrow
I don't own a y62 and probably never will but I always enjoy your vids Dave 👍 Having built my own drawers I have a bit of an idea what goes into engineering something like this. I love the look and functionality of the floor and to be able to buy something off the shelf is bloody brilliant! Well done mate 👍👌😎
I can say without a doubt after using mine a few months, “YES IT IS”, it even looks like it came with the car. Looks great, uses are endless as far as touring and everyday driving goes.🤙
looks fantastic and its great that you can have the option of leaving a seat in you still want to put someone right up the back next to the beer fridge to help pass them out on the long road trips :-)
Love mine, thanks Dave. I got the metal main brackets and I notice the bolt holes on these to the new floor are slotted so you can push it up tight from that end.
Looks good, the only issue i have with products in general is the branding on products. Do it in a way that doesn't spoil the look and it's not in your face (underneath) as customers paid for the product and you don't pay them to advertise.
Hi David, would there be any value in putting in some sound deadening in the jack well before fitting the floor? Any noticeable extra road noise or exhaust burbling?
maybe add a link to video on your website, it is not in the list of install videos. The failure to fold flat is the only thing that pushed me to put in the floor - otherwise I wouldn't have spent the money. PS. I have had excellent service from Dash on other items. Floor coming soon.
Perhaps you could investigate mass production via injection moulding for the legs, would have to be cheaper and lighter than fabricated and powder coated steel
David """love your stuff I've got a y62 on its way first thing to get from you is the floor and a 3/4 rack, So book me down, how much will I have to cough up..
@@DASHOffRoad Hi there you guys, just need some more information, Will the 3/4 roof rack be suitable for a hard shell roof top tent configuration..Cheers have a great day. 🤔😀
Hey david, a big fan and a y62 owner from bahrain and i enjoy watching your videos, just wanted to ask where can i buy it or order it and is there any way for shipping to the middle east ?
Hi Dave how do you go with the powers of the law removing the back seats in a GU patrol it is illegal they are clasified as a structural part of the car
It is not illegal. In every state in Australia you can "temporarily" remove the rear seats without having to get a mod plate. If you want to permanently remove them, you will need to look up what is required in your state. SA just requires you to have it looked over at Regency but some stated require Engineer certificate etc.
I reckon prob 90% of all wagons sold don’t need/use 3rd row seats, but yet all manufacturers force us to pay for them as standard. They should all be optional extras, it’s just a waste

I don't even have a Patrol (I wish) but I love watching these vids. That floor looks fantastic. Lots of RnD has been put into that and it shows.

It was a pleasure Brad 👌🙏
Good looking floor 👌 can see the effort that has gone into the design.

Great job with the product Dave and team. And also with pivoting to the metal brackets in order to deal with demand. Just bought one.
Thank you for your support 🙏

Thank you. The guys at Top Line Furniture will love that comment 💯

Perfect timing - I’m installing mine tomorrow!
Would love to buy this thing. Looks amazing.
Do you have a video showing installation of just one half of the floor, leaving the larger back seat. How the seat belts are attached
Just fitted 1, quality an fit is excellent, Perth fan👌

Looks mint David, like OEM 🤙
Hi David, would there be any value in putting in some sound deadening in the jack well before fitting the floor? Any noticeable extra road noise or exhaust burbling?
You could, but I don’t think it is necessary 🤷♂️
Interested in the difference in noise inside the cabin?
Yeah Yeah, gonna get one when my 62 gets here.

is there a reason you left the seat belts?
Super cool installation. BTW, how much is your Dash Off road stickers. Need only 3 to stick on my GQ.
Do you reckon an ARB hydraulic jack would tuck under the front end in the wasted space area just behind the 2nd row seats?
Perhaps you could investigate mass production via injection moulding for the legs, would have to be cheaper and lighter than fabricated and powder coated steel
hello my friend, tell me how much will such a flat floor cost? looks very good and easy to install 👍🏻
Very informative video David, have you considered false floor to replace either second row seats? Thanks
Yes, it is of interest

It’s all on our website Phil 🤑

Please email intl@dashoffroad.com.au and we can go from there
Would love to know how much total weight was removed from the vehicle and how heavy the floor is
Good question. By memory the 3rd row seats are 38kg and the new floor is around 17kg
@@DASHOffRoad thanks

3rd row of a Y62 isn’t considered as a structural part of the car. No problem at all
Can the 2nd row seat still recline with this product?
Yes mate
Great vid mate, like your original content :)
Do you make one that only deletes the single RH seat?
Yes of course
Brilliant ..👍
Question, removing the rear seats does this effect the ADR rules?
as it is no longer a 7 seater..
Would this work on a 2016 Prado Kakadu?
Ar, no
How much $ ?
Pricing is on our website 🤑

I want one
Wow
Obviously the car will need an engineering certificate once you remove the seats
