As a car washing amateur, I wish I watched this video before purchasing my giant bottle of green ONR 😂 Blue is definitely the one that fits my needs better. I’ll remember this when I finally finish my bottle. Thanks for the info!
I’ve never used the opticoat. I’ve gone to absolute and now I’ve been messing with wash and wax again. I’m telling you. Wash and wax will always have a special place for me haha. It’s so damn glossy and slick, and I actually find it doesn’t streak as a glass cleaner even at 24:1 In a spray bottle. And the sheen it leaves on plastics. Just unreal, think I’m leaving absolute behind. It’s slick but the consistency kills it a bit for me.
Yeah the chunky polymers isn’t my gig, I been trying to find my favorite rinseless. I just tried mckees 37 n914 v2 an love it for being a rinseless leaving no protection behind.
I’ve posted before, I switched from foaming and two bucket to ONR back in 2015 and have never looked back. I drive black cars too. Never ever ever any issues. I actually like the green one a little better for maintenance washes imo.
I have a black car that has had a multi-stage paint correction and the Opticoat Pro+ coating. I do a maintenance hand wash each week and like to use blue ONR (128:1) as a presoak, then a snow foam blanket with a little blue ONR in the bottle and then a hand wash with the Optimum M-Wash in distilled with blue ONR(256:1). If I can't do a regular hand wash then I go to a touchless car wash and spray yellow ONR(128:1) on the car and then do a spray rinse.
Very helpful info as usual, TRC! Didn't know Opti-Coat No Rinse provided protection to ceramic surfaces....what kind of protection (SI02? SIC? mystery blend) ?
For the ultra clay synthetic line only one side has the clay material. For the ultra clay scrubber, the back side is a bug scrubber material. The mitt and towel just have a diamond weave microfiber material on the back to provide a good surface for the clay to adhere to and to absorb some liquid that will come through the perforations if you use too much pressure.
@@NipponStiqqyPaintmaybe not scratch the car, but I’ve tested like 7 different rinseless and onr is by faaaar the biggest shit… tried like 3 different formulations and the washing part… maaan I don’t know what slickness people are talking about. It always felt like washing with a solvent, the lubricity is so poor its disgusting
Define "better." I currently have two kinds of blue ONR (V4 and V5), green ONR, Opti-Coat No Rinse, Absolute and DIY in my cabinet. Sometimes I use them interchangeably, sometimes I use one for a specific reason. I would not say that any of them are "better" than another. All will give you a clean car, they just go about it a different way.
any rinseless that suspends dirt instead of dropping it down in the bucket is inferior in my opinion. that rules out diy, n914 and other glorified detergents for being better for rinseless washing in my book.
Just ran out of ONR v1 bottle and used ONR v5 today. It’s fantastic. Has a little more slickness and a lot more cleaning power.
Onr v5??

You answered many of my questions. Thanks for the tips using the wash and wax.

I have been using ONR green for years even use it to clay bar and it's a great product

Is it possible to mix blue and yellow to a 1 gal sprayer?
Good solid info as usual 🙂Thank you Levi and The Rag Company 🙂
I wish Dr. G would offer Opticoat No Rinse in a larger, more economical size.
Thanks for the clarification 🫡
great info as always.

Will Rag Company carry Hyper Foam?
I love the Green ONR. You definitely have to wipe down the glass afterward.
How much of the ONR Blue can you put in a steamer ????
can you use the green wash and wax for all interior surfaces?
I'm not sure about interior windows. It may cause fogging. Everything else is fine.
Original onr for interior of windscreen???
Yes its perfectly safe for that
Hey Levi, on the bottle it doesn't state that the yellow stuff has Sio2 , when you say ceramic protection whats the longevity of that protection?
No response even after a year is crazy. What’s up Eddie 😂
I didn't know about the yellow... Ordering it riiiight.... Now
Why is there two sides to your clay mitt?

The green smells so good i want to drink it😅
Same I spend all day sniffing my fingers getting weird looks from people😅
Mix the green one as a QD (16:1) and you have a “spray wax”
If you mix the blue one (256:1) you have something that “scratches your car”
@@NipponStiqqyPaint if you scratch your car with the blue one you have been “using it wrong”
Lmao

Absolute is like chemical guys but a little better and more overhyped
I have hard water in my area. Should I use a water softener so I dont get water spots?
Just get some distilled water from your local grocery store if you can
