You have given me so much hope again, The past week I've been trying to find a clay towel/mitt from a well known brand and this comes in my feed, I want you to know I'm so happy for all you have done
Novel idea to blend that Jersey Bug Scubber with the clay fabric. I have been using the clay mitt for almost a year and Jersey Bug Scubber for many years. Nice to add to my wash bucket for 2023!
Just got the Clay Towel and excited to give it a try. Question: do I need to wash/rinse the towel between panels? Or do I use the towel on the entire car before washing and storing it? Thanks in advance.
I bought the towel and it said not to store it in liquid or back in its package while damp. It was recommended to lay on the side of the bucket from what the package said
Thanks Levi and the rag company. I have a question about a friend’s headlights. He has paint overspray on his headlights. What would be the best way to remove this?
Great video; thank you. I just learned about these products today and I am anxious to give them a try, The ultra clay scrubber rings my bell! Where does claying a vehicle fall in a car detail regimen? After contact wash?
have the clay towel used it today to do a range rover sport so quite large vehicle which was heavily contaminated with tar etc the cloth did a great job about 10 passes per panel with pre spray of iron remover then heavy car soap the cloth now has black marks from the tar what would be your suggestion to clean the cloth
If used during wash process after using wash mitt, do I need to use a grit guard? I use 6 wash mitts with one bucket-method so I don’t have to use a grit guard. Also can the clay surface on the towel or scrubber be used on headlights to remove bugs, or will this scratch the lenses?
I bought the clay bars during your Thanksgiving sale and they do work really well. The scrubbers look cool and I do love a clay towel for the clay n seal job.
Even Clay bars are super safe as long as you always keep it super lubricated, and turning the clay often. It wouldn’t hurt to try the clay towel, but probably best to get both. My guess is if you’re needing to clay your car, you’re intentions is to decontaminate a car which never had it done before. It’s probably good to have both options available. Also good to watch a better video on basic clay bar. This video glosses over that.
Not much difference between the three. It’s more about which form you prefer. Just know that these pads and real clay are abrasive and do scratch the paint on some level. The key is to minimize it so it’s cleaning outweighs the scratches. If the paint isn’t clean you can really mess it up. Don’t over do it and only clay before a correction. Some people do it too often. If you’re just getting into detailing there are far more important things to do first, like a thorough decon wash.
I sure did. worked great. you should come out with a stronger one though, some parts took extra scrubbing. i just ordered a bunch of rags from amazon without the edges@@theragcompany
I was always confused by cleaning them. You said spray some all purpose cleaner? Can you give some examples of what kind of cleaners you're referring to?
Squeeze out most of the moisture and let it dry on a rack or a towel with the clay side on top! Once the clay gets used more and more it will stop sticking to the plastic
Great looking new products. Excited to try. Not using Anthony's framed photo for the strength graphic was a real missed opportunity. Maybe next time 😂😂
What size is each scrubber? Says "Product Dimensions 10x8x3" (On Amazon listing) . Is that the package, or is that EACH SCRUBBER? Thanks a lot for your time, appreciate it.
It does! Plus you can REUSE it when you're done, (Many, many times over) unlike a traditional clay bar. All you have to do is give it a rinse and wash it off.
You always wash the car thoroughly before using a clay lubricant + clay mitt. There is too much debris and crap on the paint that needs to be safely removed prior to using the clay mitt otherwise it's going to drag all over the paint. Therefore, I would not replace the wash mitt with the clay mitt. Also, you shouldn't be using the clay mitt every month as a maintenance procedure, but rather only when you do a full decontamination prior to polishing + sealing/coating/wax.

shouldnt do anything to it, if anything, it will make it work better again. If the car is been ceramic coated, the contaminants are on the coating, not the actual clear.
How many times can use each one on normal size cars? I think nano clay says 40 to 50 with standard clay lets say 6 to 10 as long as you don't drop it, lol.
After using Iron-x correctly, the clay picked up absolutely nothing. A complete waste of time on my car. But, not all paints are the same so you'll only know if you try it.
The Clay Bar is probably what you consider "clay", however in addition to that style you can now use special synthetic clay-coated towels, mitts and sponges to achieve similar results. Clay's purpose is to rid the surfaces of contaminants. In that sense, the bars, towels, mitts and sponges all do the same thing, but in different form-factors that different people may appreciate. Addtionally, traditional clay bars are useless/dangerous for paint once they've hit the ground or fallen onto a dirty floor surface, whereas the synthetic-clay-coated sponges, mitts & towels are all able to be used again simply by carefully rinsing/cleaning them off. (A huge money & time saver)
@@theragcompany So the fabric is coated with clay? But washing them doesn’t remove the clay? Do t get me wrong. I use and recommend your rags, especially for cleaning glass. But this clay fabric sounds more like marketing BS than an actual clay product.

Newbie here. Can these be used to "reset" the paint as well? Like removing old waxes or sealants?
You just need to spray down the car with soapy water (dish soap). That will remove all old wax or anything else you added. Or you can use a degreaser.
which one would be least prone to marring my car?
Very interesting! will have to give these a shot.
Does this leave any marring or anything that can ruin my ceramic coating? I’m up for a maintenance
As long as you use no pressure and plenty of lubricant you will be fine!!
Can you use all 3 with and Iron Remover like DIY Detail's or P&S iron buster/remover ?
would like an answer to this as well

I've never used anything but a classic clay bar, how do you clean these mits while in the middle of working with them?
I'm no expert but I would suggest a separate rinse bucket
I just use my garden hose with some pressure and spray it directly onto the clay parts of the mitts and rub off any debris
I need to try them. Do you guys send to Mexico or have someone selling your products down here?
Very well explained, great job

could be but risking swirling the coating/paint, usually is decontaminated chemically
