She's a level 40 Vault dweller but as a Wasteland Wanderer she started at around level 3 or 4 maybe. By the end of the season I'd say she was a level 20 with high Charisma.
One issue I have with this is that “in game” time and “gameplay” time passes differently. Comparing her time spent in show should be compared to the character’s time spent in-game. Most games cycle 24h periods faster to imply day/night cycles without the tedium of literally waiting a whole day. This is something shows do, too. Other than the time comparison, this was a great breakdown of xp accumulated!
Wow! I assumed she was at level 10. Fallout 4 has a syringe gun. I use it to paralyze enemies. You get it at hospitals and the vault where you find CVRY. Great video, great breakdown, very entertaining and engaging.
I think we are missing xp she earned, so this is more of an edited let's play. So it is possible we are missing perks she has that may increase xp and other locations and events(though small) that give her more xp.

Weirdly enough with how mutation and rads work, at least in Fallout 76, you could safely assume that the Ghoul is and absolute max level min/maxed build monster. Which makes total sense with the way he is portrayed in the show.
One thing to note tho is that those stats you stated would be gained in a diferent order since you listed by type of xp gain rather than by chronological order
3:21 Sterling Submachine gun. I don't think a single fallout game ever had those, only mods. as for the Caliber, it's 9mm, I think only New Vegas had that Caliber as far as I know.
I love Fallout. I am a new fan, but by playing Fallout Shelter for a month a have been interested in playing other Fallout titles and delve deeper into the lore of this franchise.
I don't know about Fallout 4, but in Fallout 3 you can increase your intelligence stat when you level up via the "Intense training" perk, so maybe she did something like that and with more intelligence you gain more xp. Did they not consider that?
"grab your mentats" perfect considering mentats is intelligence and perception increase. would like to also mention fallout 4's time dialation. it was several in game months (mostly spent in fast travel) before I reached level 11 in my playthrough (int 6 coincidentally) from all the stuff I did. considering in the show it's only been a couple days at most (likely), it's outstanding she got so much done. it takes 72 minutes in fallout 4 for one day to pass of normal waiting around, but with fast travel that time seems sped up, plus you can't earn XP during fast travel, so we can't exactly say that it's a fair assesment considering the time dialation aspect of fallout gameplay.
Under Fallout 4 rules, she can't possibly be level 1 when we start the show; her special is too high for level 1. All of her hand to hand combat training/gun training/repairing pipes, etc would be tutorial quests within the vault, so she could 100% be higher than 1. But, she would need to have hit level 13 minimum by the time she visits the Vault in Fallout Shelter so we can't use her stats to assume her base intelligence in the show. Considering, though, how none of her attacks are crits and she is super not perceptive, we could probably use those as where the stats points were dumped into between levels 2-13. Giving 2 luck and 3 perception to start; that leaves only three that would possibly need to be pull from intelligence score but with all the intro quests we see during the show intro, we can give her level 4 when she leaves the vault.
I'm not sure if anyone figured this out yet but the lv of Lucy is wrong. She doesn't even leave the vault till around lv 10 at least. If you based her special stats with fallout 4 then she would have started with 1 point in all 7 stats then she only gets 21 points at the start. You can get: Str 4 Per 7 End 6 Chr 5 Int 6 But after that she's out of points. She doesn't have enough for her Agl or luck, she is short by 11 points meaning before she even leaves the vault she had to gain 11 more lvs and put those points in her attributes so she left the vault around lv 12 then started her adventures. Correct me if I'm wrong but that's the only way her special stats she has make sense.
The moment on the gate with two commoners (with that woman who looks like Criquet) counts as a speakchecks for the first part (holding hands up). And a side quest, so little it can be, is to give water to the farm man that can't go over the hill.
The show is mostly likely compressing a lot between cuts between scenes, which can be considered a fast travel, but if more insane, someone would check the probability of enemy mobs spawning, conversations, items picked up, and how many quest on average someone would complete in that area, giving that lvl 7 a bit more value. But who am I kidding, Probability and Statistics was never most peoples friend in highschool or college.
Btw I just wanted to say your doing an amazing job as the new host of Film Theory I bet MatPat is bloody proud. Keep up the work and I’ll keep on enjoying it
I seem to remember at some point a 'bobble-head'... and a few 'skill books' along the way. Lucy doesn't seem to use any chems, and we don't know of any specific perks she might have. It could very well be, that her XP is slightly higher than what is calculated in this video based on these items alone. It doesn't make a lot of sense to show her reading a 'Grognak', or picking up a bobble-head, and the average viewer would probably be confused/bored to see these 'in-game' effects taking place. Just on the 'exploration' side of things, I know that in-game, there are a lot of places that simply give a bonus, but don't really have much of a story attached to it. Just walking near a Red Rocket, gives a bonus, even if you don't go inside to explore/loot. Do we actually see each and every radroach she might encounter? Probably not. And there are dozens of low level critters that will aggro if we are detected. If anything, I would double the amount of XP, and assume a few perks along the way, perhaps even boosting her intellect which may again, add a slight XP bonus. I haven't played Fallout 4, so I don't know exactly how the mechanics may differ from F3 or FNV. Since we only see her in her vault suit, it doesn't appear that she has any bonuses from armor/headwear/etc. But do viewers really want to watch a Fallout fashion show in every episode? As a player, a lot of us dump the vault suit for armor, and other articles of clothing. Even going so far as to 'change clothes' if we are going to trade, repair, make a 'science check' etc. If Lucy were actually in a game, I would expect her to 'change clothes', 'read a skillbook', and maybe pop a chem from time to time. But that's not what the viewing audience is going to enjoy, or see the direct effects of such in-game changes.
Certain things yes. . .other things no. For one thing there's no chems that can slow down the mental degradation that causes a ghoul to go feral. Also non-feral ghouls aren't always cannibals. The Ghoul may have picked up the Cannibal Perk in the past.
Lucy would be fairly high level. Think about it, she received 'controller' training in an elist vault. In essence, she'd be one of those NPCs we'd meet in a vault, in the games, that has been dping research since the bombs fell.
5:28 Although, I haven't watched the movie to know if this is important, but building structures in camps or bases do gains you exp. So that would be something else you would have to calculate if she had build something.
You mean "What no one was willing to do a second time since that other video on the subject came out a couple weeks ago", I guess. 2 hours in our time is about 2 days in game time in fallout 4, plus these characters have to sleep, and occasionally are passed out, in playing the game most people don't bother sleeping, so that makes this at least 3-4 days. Also, most people playing fallout 4 are probably not first time players, they're probably experienced fallout 4 players streaming specific gameplay. My guess is if you are new to the game and don't know what to expect it would probably take you longer than two hours IRL to get to level 7. Also interesting that the level you came up with it very similar to the person who had their video come out a couple weeks ago
@@Cheesecake_666 I have. I've also seen the Level with Me episode where he calculated Lucy's XP level and decided to make fun of how he did it before Film Theory
Nice analysis....could one argue that her naïve way of life in the vault grant her the Savant in Luck skill (randomly granting double xp when it triggers)? ;)
You realize that fallout has an in game timer so 2 real hours would be multiple days in game which lines up more accordingly with Lucy (especially since she’s in survival mode and needs to sleep)
Accumulative rather than chronological explanation of Lucyvs lever through the show is such an oversight. At what point did she reach Level 2? I have no idea when it specifically happened because you guys wrote it to just sum all the exp up rather than explain where and when, what specifically happened.
The three raiders at the beginning should give her XP. You didn't count them because non-lethal, but also said that Fallout4 doesn't have non-lethal weapons. Since she _did_ have a non-lethal weapon, it should count anyway. After all, you got the Int stat from a different game in the franchise
Her official stats (along with all the other characters in the show) have been released. You just take all the stats, add them up, take away all the stat numbers you get at the very start, and then you have her level. At least i think?
Not even kinda how that works.. you just made something up with zero evidence or even a base of reference for this theory and said “I think that’s how it works”
I tried to play a Fallout game once and it took me 2 hours just to find a city. The Vault tutorial was the easy part but after that I was just wandering around an empty desert with no idea where I was going. And when I did finally find a city I was killed almost immediatly. Now figure out the XP for the main vault dweller character in Fallout Nuka Break.
@@DoctaNeeded Indeed, we know the fallout shelter character cannot be a 1:1 with the TV show, mostly due to balancing and how divergent every player's vault is. There are easily thousands of vaults 69 and 420, therefore each instance of Fallout Shelter must be its own bubble.
I think there is a big mistake in how the xp numbers are added, because it is not considered the lvl the enemies are as she lvl up and xp those enemies give or the lvl they are as she is in a higher lvl zone, for example if she reach lvl 2 at the end of ep 1, the xp she get from enemies should be higher if she face lvl2 enemies or higher lvl ones in the consequent episodes. And also she was getting "power leveled" by traveling with other npc or player if the show is considered a multiplayer one.
It's absolutely coincidence. These videos would take a few weeks to write, act, and edit. Plus, it's a hot issue in the Fallout community to talk about, so there's no reason why Film Theory wouldn't tackle the topic.
both of those videos take over a week to plan, script, record and edit. No one stole anyone’s idea, they simply had the same idea and uploaded at different times.
You should have calculated how many days passed for Lucy. (I'm thinking around a week.) Then compare how many levels you can get in the game during the same interval. Since Lucy is playing survival, you have to sleep in the game. So you only play for 2 hours. The biggest problem with this analogy is there is no timed quests in the game and no sense of urgency.

There's a quest to give a guy nuka cola in diamond City that does give xp. Litterally just a begger.@@gavros9636
does grant positive karma though, maybe they should do what is lucys karma level next
@@fruitslicer If they keep using Fallout 4 as the template, which makes sense, then 0 since Fallout 4 doesn't use a karma system.
This would be finishing the first arc of a fallout game i would lock in with a level 12-16 awnser
I think we are missing xp she earned, so this is more of an edited let's play. So it is possible we are missing perks she has that may increase xp and other locations and events(though small) that give her more xp.
I just love that such a badass character is named “Lucy McLane” Bruce Willis’ character in Die Hard has a daughter named Lucy. John would be proud… :) I know, I know. Just having a bit of fun.
Cheers,
"Level with me" by kitten arcarder beat you to it guys haha
I'm glad other people noticed. At least they both came to around the same level in different ways
Just came to this section to mention Kitten Arcade
I wondered if someone else would bring it up.
im sure more than one content creator can theorize abt this 😅
It makes it even funnier each time he says no one else is crazy enough to go through all these numbers and no one else would do this when kitten arcader did it 5 days before
Woah, I was not expecting this theory to go so far in depth, from individual speech checks and quest XP, down to the minutia of including the Intelligence, Survival Mode, and Lover's Embrace XP boosts. Absolutely loving this!
Fallout 3/NV remaster still needs to happen.
I have a theory... (completely off topic from Fallout)
CAN Sandy Cheeks survive in her AirDome? She has a large oak tree in there, and a few times, bugs and birds are shown to live in there too. Would her suit and dome actually make enough oxygen for her to live? (excluding the water pressure most likely)
Funny, I not long ago watched a video from "Kitten Arcader" that was released 5 days ago entitled... "I Calculated Lucy’s Level from Fallout | Level with Me - Lucy from Fallout (2024)".
Now, I see yours pop up.🙂
@UTTP-Clockworker
"This video is similar to Kitten Arcader's"
"I ABUSE ANIMALS"
Weirdly enough with how mutation and rads work, at least in Fallout 76, you could safely assume that the Ghoul is and absolute max level min/maxed build monster. Which makes total sense with the way he is portrayed in the show.
One thing to note tho is that those stats you stated would be gained in a diferent order since you listed by type of xp gain rather than by chronological order
Another thing to add, in Fallout shelter, CX404 is a companion as well and yields +44% xp while equipped or a character
(Kitten Arcader) did it as well but with Fallout 3 instead, interesting to see the difference!
What's crazy is they both got the same conclusion. Level 7! I guess that makes the case a lot stronger.
"grab your mentats"
perfect considering mentats is intelligence and perception increase.
would like to also mention fallout 4's time dialation. it was several in game months (mostly spent in fast travel) before I reached level 11 in my playthrough (int 6 coincidentally) from all the stuff I did. considering in the show it's only been a couple days at most (likely), it's outstanding she got so much done. it takes 72 minutes in fallout 4 for one day to pass of normal waiting around, but with fast travel that time seems sped up, plus you can't earn XP during fast travel, so we can't exactly say that it's a fair assesment considering the time dialation aspect of fallout gameplay.
It also depends if she had dlc installed cause it increases the level cap
Yeah but this only has value when we reach act 3
I'm not sure if anyone figured this out yet but the lv of Lucy is wrong. She doesn't even leave the vault till around lv 10 at least. If you based her special stats with fallout 4 then she would have started with 1 point in all 7 stats then she only gets 21 points at the start. You can get:
Str 4
Per 7
End 6
Chr 5
Int 6
But after that she's out of points.
I just finished the show two days ago! Thanks for making a video!
The moment on the gate with two commoners (with that woman who looks like Criquet) counts as a speakchecks for the first part (holding hands up). And a side quest, so little it can be, is to give water to the farm man that can't go over the hill.
"It just work."
-Todd Howard
I love how the fallout show is so faithful to the games its perfect
Hahahahaha!
find my comment
Certain things yes. . .other things no. For one thing there's no chems that can slow down the mental degradation that causes a ghoul to go feral. Also non-feral ghouls aren't always cannibals. The Ghoul may have picked up the Cannibal Perk in the past.
Lucy would be fairly high level. Think about it, she received 'controller' training in an elist vault. In essence, she'd be one of those NPCs we'd meet in a vault, in the games, that has been dping research since the bombs fell.
Kitten Arcader already did this a week ago.
@LulYeah (latin youtuber) did this a month ago

Great theory. Loved it.

This is like the 3rd video I’ve seen on this topic
The Ghoul is already maxxed out in Steady Aim, Awareness, Penetrator, Party Boy, VANS, and Gunslinger.
Can't wait for the next video
Film Theory: How Expensive Is Saw?
Have you seen the foot the bill UA-cam series? It tracks how expensive all the saw movies were to Jigsaw to see if he could afford it.
Bro this is so fun. Also I think Lucy is level plot armor.
You missed a speech check where she convinced Maximus to travel with her after Maximus gives are a rad away
This is the film theory equivalent of what level is Pikachu
I've restarted and speedran Kellogg enough times to know that level ten is a loooong way away when you ignore things
Level With Me - Lucy from Fallout
I already checked their equivalent to Lvl 1 Stats
0:36 THE NORMIES !!!!
Huh 3 minutes and this vid isn't flooded by bots
I tried to play a Fallout game once and it took me 2 hours just to find a city. The Vault tutorial was the easy part but after that I was just wandering around an empty desert with no idea where I was going. And when I did finally find a city I was killed almost immediatly.
Now figure out the XP for the main vault dweller character in Fallout Nuka Break.
She’s level 15 because when you unlock her in fallout shelter her level is 15 before you level her up.
You might only unlock her in the future of her adventure rather than the start. Also it might just be an alternative universe.
@@DoctaNeeded True
@@DoctaNeeded Indeed, we know the fallout shelter character cannot be a 1:1 with the TV show, mostly due to balancing and how divergent every player's vault is. There are easily thousands of vaults 69 and 420, therefore each instance of Fallout Shelter must be its own bubble.
Do mind as well, Lucy focused on her main quest/objective ignoring any side quest apart from Vault 4 when she tries to find medicine for Max.
Episode 10 of asking for a Duolingo theory bruh
Never actually broken down this stuff in my games, so thanks for doing all the work for me. XD
Thank you for your hard work❤ love your videos
I think there is a big mistake in how the xp numbers are added, because it is not considered the lvl the enemies are as she lvl up and xp those enemies give or the lvl they are as she is in a higher lvl zone, for example if she reach lvl 2 at the end of ep 1, the xp she get from enemies should be higher if she face lvl2 enemies or higher lvl ones in the consequent episodes. And also she was getting "power leveled" by traveling with other npc or player if the show is considered a multiplayer one.

When is the Little John galvanized square steel, eco friendly wood veneers, and screws he borrowed from his aunt lore video coming out?
I hope it's a coincidence, but Kitten Arcader just made this exact video 5 days ago
It's absolutely coincidence. These videos would take a few weeks to write, act, and edit. Plus, it's a hot issue in the Fallout community to talk about, so there's no reason why Film Theory wouldn't tackle the topic.
I was thinking this exact thing! Can’t believe there’s actually a video about it 🤣🤣

"The base fallout 4 doesn't have non lethal weapondry" WHAT ABOUT THE SYRINGER!! Only 2 of it's ammo types have a chance to be lethal!
I like that the explanation is thorough so someone who never picked up any video game can understand it 😊
Lucy-My Power level, IT'S BEYOND FIVE THOUSAND!
Who’s gonna tell them they should’ve done the do based off of New Vegas since it takes place in that area or Fallout76 since it’s ALL ABOUT SURVIVAL.
