"I'll Be Loving You Forever" hit #1 in America in June 1989 & hit #12 on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Singles Chart as well. Still my favorite pop group of all time
I remember my sister had shirts and a framed poster on her wall. I think she had a bath towel too. She had their cassette tapes. We are four years apart and I'm the younger one. She recorded music videos on CMC hosted by Chewy I think his last name was Gomez and she would record them on a VCR. New Kids On The Block was always on there.
watching all these reactions to these guys today on here is bringing back so many fun memories today on my birthday. I grew up in Boston in the 80's and early 90's and got to spend time with them a few times thanks to my sister during the time she was dating Danny. Going to 7 of their concerts back in the day for free was so much fun
I was around 12 or 13. I loved Joey (young curly hair) I had New Edition and NKOTB all over my walls. And roller skated to it at the roller skating rink ❤
I was 17 years old (nearly 18 when it hit #1 (Billboard Hot 100 Chart ending June 17th, 1989 - 9 days before my 18th birthday) and just graduated from high school. Maurice Starr, who created NKOTB, is the same guy who created New Edition and he said he wanted a totally white version of New Edition and so came NKOTB.
The guy that managed new edition put together and managed this group. Check out step by step, hangin tough, baby I believe in you, and please don't go girl
I was 13 and in love with Jonathon 😍 never saw them live 😭 in 2008 when they made a come back I did get to see them live and took my 14 year Old Daughter with me 😁 we loved it 😍🥰
@ #socrazyfam, the jacket that the girl at the end of the video on the far left was was given to me by my mom cause she knew how much I loved NKOTB! I actually got to go to the "HANGING TOUGH TOUR at the universal amphitheater. So cool. Fun fact, the guy with the longish blonde hair is Donnie Wahlberg,(older brother to Mark Wahlberg)star of the hit cop drama BLUE BLOODS.
I was 6 and I remember stealing my older sisters tapes and walkman to listen to them. Jordan Knight was and is still my favorite. Btw, Jordan is the main one singing with the high voice.
NKOTB was my first concert back in 1989. You should react to House Party. They did it last year after the pandemic started. There are a lot of special guests in the video.
Sooo Happyyyy! #millenialhour gives me LIFE! please keep reacting to NKOTB. You've got to watch when Joey (youngest) sings lead on Please Don't Go Girl.
Ahh, seventh grade. Good times! Thanks for the memories! Can you check out, if you never have before anyway, Have You Seen Her by MC Hammer....yes, I'm going there! lol 🤘😆 Thanks again and much love!
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS ty Billy for reacting to one of the OG boy bands!!!!!!!! I was CRAZY in love with them....i think this song came out right before i graduated high school in 1992 if i am not mistaken....correct me if i am wrong i can take it xD! You should give a listen to one of the members Joey McIntyre...all grown up..singing "Stay the Same" beautiful song and message in that one!! Keep being amazing and stay safe and healthy
Probably havent heard this song for 30yrs but still know every single word lol I had NKOTB posters all over ther walls back in the days lol The next best thing was my teen years with NSync
I'm basically the same age as these guys. I liked the songs but somehow because of that I didn't have a crush on any of them. I had had crushes previously on the guys who were older like Duran Duran and Wham! So by this time, I felt like I was beyond the teenybopper stage. lol I was a sophomore in high school when this came out. Still remember every word.
I was a freshman in high school when this came out it feels like a million years ago. I was never a big new kids fan I like you thought they were corny personally I loved boys to Men
The Batman t-shirt Jordan is wearing reminded me that when this came out in 1989, EVERYBODY had a Batman t-shirt or some swag with the Batman logo because of the Michael Keaton movie.
It's funny to think that the guy in the letterman jacket in the background on the left @ 1:48 is actually Mark Wahlberg's OLDER brother. He was on a show called Blue Bloods - I haven't watched an episode in years so I have no clue if he's still on it.
OMG BEEN WAITING FOR THIS. I grew up listening to them because they're my sister's favorite group. Had the posters and VHS tape to their music videos. Pleaseeeee react to their 1st hit "Please don't go girl" and their newest hit "80's baby" perfect way to see how much they've changed but remained humbled
Male Blockhead since 1988!! And proud of it!! My favorite group ever & my first concert ever!! Donnie & Joey are my favorites but all 5 are my boys!! I owned everything..bought every magazine they were on the cover of..my whole room covered in posters..They saved this shy depressed kid..NKOTB forever!!
Thank you, thank you. More new kids! Soooo many good songs. Just earned my sub. It's awesome to see a younger person appreciate them, especially a man. Back in the day, most males hated them sadly (and lots of gals I knew lol) the joke about the dudes was, they mad cause all their girlfriends loved them 😅 Side note... on your right stuff vid you got new edition vibes. That's cause Maurice Starr formed nkotb!
I actually wasn't a NKOTB fan when I was a teenage girl, back then I LOVED Duran Duran. Duran Duran were my "boy band." LOL. I remember NKOTB though. Right Stuff and Step By Step were HUGE on MTV.
The real crime here is that many thought it to be corny, but so too was the doo-wop era, which they emulate here in a way, and yet, I'm still listening to this, years later and I was a teenager when they hit the scene. Thx.
You have to react to please don’t go girl. Also check out Jordan’s( the lead here) first solo song “give it to you”. Teenaged me was singing this too hard and adult me was looking like this😳 when I really listened to the lyrics 😂😂😂
Man I was a poor kid growing up, but somehow my sister and I got NKOTB tickets, my mom sold them so we could get groceries. I was 38 when I finally got to see them live. I was like a teenager screaming down the auditorium 😂
Lmao I didn't get to see them til I was 38 as well! I won tickets off the radio and told everybody it was a 30 year old dream that finally came true 😂 can't believe May will be 2 years since I saw them!
@@JamesSmith-qy3eu Mark most certainly was an original member of NKOTB, when they were still called NYNUK. He didn't like that Maurice Starr wanted them to do more Pop than R&B/HipHop so he quit and was replaced with Joey McIntyre.
I was 5 or 6 when this came out and my older cousin was in 5th grade gave me a copy of their album she recorded onto a blank cassette...I fell in love with Joey instantly, lol....who remembers recording on blank cassettes????😁
I am a proud blockhead. I loved them since 1988 when I was 12 and I am now about to turn 48 in a few months so that should tell you something. This song has always one of my favorites. But then again, I say that about all of their songs lol. But there’s nothing like seeing this performed front row. Amazing !
This song had every generation x girl loving them forever.
The ones of us that were in love with them as kids, are still in love with them now 😂
Yes still in love with them and always will be
Exactly
Exactly i dont care how old i am
You know that’s right!! Joey’s my guy 😂
Those are straight up facts.
Big shout to New Edition founder and producer, he discovered and w&p their albums as well.
NKOTB was my everything as a pre-teen girl!
"I'll Be Loving You Forever" hit #1 in America in June 1989 & hit #12 on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Singles Chart as well.
Still my favorite pop group of all time
Stills mine haha my son makes fun of me for having posters still on my wall
Yep me too 😊
I remember my sister had shirts and a framed poster on her wall. I think she had a bath towel too. She had their cassette tapes. We are four years apart and I'm the younger one. She recorded music videos on CMC hosted by Chewy I think his last name was Gomez and she would record them on a VCR. New Kids On The Block was always on there.
I was 11 when I first heard them!! Was obsessed and I was from Boston which was where they from!! So good!!
I just saw them for the fourth time about 3 weeks ago. It brought back so many memories. They are still amazing.
😭😭yes! Love them to this day!!
My husband and I danced to this at our wedding. And I saw them in concert in 2013 it was awesome
It actually seems like you like the kids.... That is just awesome. Makes me love you. ❤️
I was 16 when this came out. I’ve been to 8 NKOTB concerts and met them in Orlando.
watching all these reactions to these guys today on here is bringing back so many fun memories today on my birthday. I am and Always be a fan! I am also proud to be a fellow Bostonian like them
They've got some new bops too! They're still rocking after 30 years!! Boys in the Band is a good example.
I was around 12 or 13. I loved Joey (young curly hair) I had New Edition and NKOTB all over my walls. And roller skated to it at the roller skating rink ❤

I was 16 but a heavy metal chick. But I had my moments going back to pop also. Now I listen to everything.
Ohhh the memories💙💙💙
My favorite New kids on the block songs are step by step or hang in tough. You'll love the dance moves in those videos as well
The guy that managed new edition put together and managed this group. Check out step by step, hangin tough, baby I believe in you, and please don't go girl
Me & my friend went to see them in concert when we 30. The whole stadium was like a bunch of 30 somethings reverted back to being 12, 13, 14 lol.
I love the new kids on the block since 1989 i was 11 years i still love them they are the best. I was 11 years old
I was 13 and in love with Jonathon 😍 never saw them live 😭 in 2008 when they made a come back I did get to see them live and took my 14 year Old Daughter with me 😁 we loved it 😍🥰

Loved your reaction!!!
NKOTB was my first concert back in 1989. You should react to House Party. They did it last year after the pandemic started. There are a lot of special guests in the video.
They were big enough to get a spot on Saturday morning cartoons!! For us Gen x'ers!! It was a dream come true!!!
Sooo Happyyyy! #millenialhour gives me LIFE! please keep reacting to NKOTB. You've got to watch when Joey (youngest) sings lead on Please Don't Go Girl.
I went to Germany to visit family and arrived on my 10th birthday... this was one of TWO cassette tapes I took with me...Obviously Joey was my bias!
This was my sister's favorite NKOTB song. She loved Jordan. So anytime I hear this song it reminds me of her and makes me miss her even more.

I have been a Jordan (the lead on this song) Girl since the Summer of 89

Thank you, thank you. More new kids! Soooo many good songs. Just earned my sub.

My love for New Kids on the Block is not past tense. It is current. Jordan Knight is still my favorite. Proud Blockhead since 1989. 💙🤖💙
I was 14 when this came out. All us guys pretended we hated it but we liked it and i had a girl in mind at the time.
I saw them a couple of years ago. Still kill it all these years later.
This proves the 80's are the best in music Jonathan falsetto is classic
Jordan has an amazing Falsetto.
I actually wasn't a NKOTB fan when I was a teenage girl, back then I LOVED Duran Duran. Duran Duran were my "boy band." LOL. I remember NKOTB though. Right Stuff and Step By Step were HUGE on MTV.
Best boy band ever!
Jordan can still sing that High Note!! I was 12 when this came out. #BHLove

I was 7 or 8 years old...I grew up with them
I was late to the party. I was born six months after their third albums release but they are one of my favorite boy bands period.
The Right Stuff and Hanging tough were great New Kids songs.
This blockhead still loves them! I watch Donnie every Friday night on Blue Bloods! You want to lose your appetite open a bunch of bills due!
This is when I came to America (originally from the west indies)
Man I was a poor kid growing up, but somehow my sister and I got NKOTB tickets, my mom sold them so we could get groceries. I was 38 when I finally got to see them live. I was like a teenager screaming down the auditorium 😂

Marky Mark! 😍
🎶Good Vibrations... 💃
I don't think Mark was a member of NKOTB
Mark is also an actor. He wasn't in NKOTB.
